Half our township hasn't had their trash picked up. Some for weeks. There are strikes affecting 50 cities because even the employees hate this company. And Republic is the second largest trash company in the country. What happened to free market giving better products and services? This is why regulations happen. Because corporations like Republic services don't do what they've taken tax payers dollars to do. Republic sucks. Jon Vander Ark should be dumping cans instead of screwing customers. Hope you choke on your $4 million salary.
After the Storm we were told to put our damage fencing and neat piles by the curb well I did that it came through they did a first pickup and said it was a first pickup and they picked up some of my neighbors and the following week they passed us by again they didn't pick up our pile well on both trash day they didn't pick it up then the second month came by they didn't pick it up so I called for Miss picked up I called him three times had it scheduled for pickup they said they would pick it up and they didn't I pay for bulk pickup they didn't pick it up then on top of that the driver chooses not to pick up my trash can on regular pickup gets my neighbors on both sides of me but not my can and I pay quarterly auto pay so what's his excuse this time for not picking up my trash apparently he's lazy doesn't want to pick up the boat trash and who knows that might be a different driver so are you hiring nothing but lazy $#*! drivers that don't want to do their job for what we are paying them to pick up I called for Miss pickup on my can and I get they'll be out there the next day well guess what I get home the can is still there go figure
Read your service contract! They keep increasing my rate every 6-month and each time we re-negotiate there is a mandatory extension for getting to new contract which extension period another 3 years. It is a never ending cycle only to their advantage.

When I've asked for small discounts, I was met with resistance and long arguments. They will fight to the end over a $1. I got a bill for 83 cents which they refused to write off. Instead, they wasted the time to charge me a $1 and say I will get 17 cents back on my next bill. Monopolies like this need to be stopped.

Republic services will argue with you til the end and will not even credit you for a $1. They don't care about customers as they are a monopoly.

Pricing keeps going up; no notices or correspondences. When call the customer folks has no clue except just pay the bill. Service does not jack up every quarter? In this case there was no explanation but pay it. Talk to managers they said it didn't raise up., wrong info but they will change back to original pricing. Incompetent again, managers didn't do crap! Getting more bills of not paying the price hike. Ridiculous service in the past 2 years
They increase our bill without a notice,, however, it would have been ok if they picked up our garbage weekly. In the last month, we had one regular pick up. My garbage container along with my neighbors, have been at our curbside for ten days. Street smells bad. Bugs growing in the container. I made so many phone calls, my neighbors made calls. No accountability. It takes a while to set up another companies services. HOA already sent us notices about our garbage.
I have never in my life felt a need to write a bad review on trash pickup until now. Republic is the most unethical, untrustworthy, unreliable, and undeniably the worst trash company. The board of health and county are even involved now with the amount of trash that has piled up on our streets of Oak Park in Overland Park over the last three weeks. Today is 9/18, and they have not picked up trash on several streets, including mine, since August 29, almost three weeks. This includes a holiday weekend where trash is always more. Oak Park HOA is just as bad, as they are completely ineffective at managing the basics of trash pickup of their residents.
After speaking with a rep in corporate, they admitted to taking advantage of our feeble minded property manager and writing exorbitant fees into a contract, of which they suddenly could not tell the end date. They will gouge you and not think twice about it.
We are only allowed 1 trash can we always got 2 elsewhere one holiday week they never picked up trash went 2 weeks before pickup that was outrageous complaining to homeowners services now you raised thes poor services up $14.00 from before it's not right
They continually raise their rates. I started out in the double digits and was up to triple digits. I cancelled my service, but they are planning on charging me to the end of month because they require 30 day notice. This company cheats it's customers.

Left them at the end of March. Signed on with the competition for half the cost. Now it's middle of April and the thieves send me an invoice for over $85, including their Fuel/Environmental Recovery Fee of $24.27. Just for picking up their trash can. Such awful thieves.

I have been with them for 2 years within that time the price has kept going up. I found another company that charges half the price. When I called them to cancel service, they tacked on a 36.00 fee to pick up there garbage can! That's just ridiculous! My advice to others find someone else!

Republic services trash service is horrible. If you need trash service please go with someone else. They usually miss at least once a month, but this month they have missed 3 weeks in a row. I am attaching a photo of what my trash accumulation looks like after 3 weeks. I had to buy some boxes to put my bags in so that it would keep the animals away. I have called every day and some guy in another state keeps telling me that he will call and find out when it's not picked up yet. But I think that's just a corporate move to delay me even more. Then I asked for a credit to my account and he credited me 10.00. I would not recommend this company and if I could give negative stars I would.
Beware they are 3 to 5 times higher than other trash pickup companies.
When cancelling they charge a crazy fee for picking up trash cans and don't show up to pick the cans up on the date they give you. Very unhappy former customer. I will never use this company again.
This company never picks up. 6 weeks of issues with no end in sight. Horrible at calling back, horrible at picking up, horrible all the way around. I am going to switch service with another provider. Do not use them.

Republic is the absolute worst! They are far from consistent, and very rude. After not picking up my trash ( yes, bill is always paid) I called. First thing asked, was about my account, after saying yes my bill was current, I was told that maybe they drove past to far to go back. Hello... I live in a cul-de-sac. With homes all around us as well as just before the circle. Then was told they would be back the next day by 3 pm, never showed up, pickup day came back around and when they finally showed the guy was rude to me running his mouth and left my can literary in the middle of the road! Also I have had to purchase new garbage can because they have destroyed my cans, including the one just purchased 3 months ago. I have had enough and going to a different collection company! Stay away from this company!
I'm presently planning to cancel my subscription with this company. They never pick up scheduled item pick ups, and still would add the additional charge on your account. They always make me leave my bulky items sitting outside on the street all week waiting for a pick up. It's been so embarrassing having items sitting outside of your house for so long.

Where do I begin, they have smashed the side of my trash can 5 times in 11 months, left them on the side, trash all over the street, bulk day they do not pick up the neatly placed box. Had to call and complain. Apathetic drivers who do not care about their jobs.
We switched to Republic from our former service because they quoted a lower yearly price. They told us we could go to the Stevensville facility to pick up our can. A few weeks later we received a bill for more. They also told us we cannot pick up our own can and that it would be $55 to deliver it. We immediately asked for our money back. No one knows their left hand from their right over there. And we wasted almost 2 hours on the phone. Don't even consider them. Paying a little more with a different company who is honest is worth it.
Again they didn't pick out trash up with several others in town. Tired to call last night, no one to answer the phone and no way to leave a message. Called this morning, response was we will try to pick it up. Hmmm.
Terrible company! They went 2 months without picking up my yard waste. Today they picked up 3 containers and left the other 2. They left a note saying containers had to be less than 50 pounds. The one was 47 pounds and the other was 56 pounds because it poured rain after I put them out. Last week they knocked my entire garbage container over in the ditch and left it. I picked it up and now it's been sitting around for 2 weeks. I would never use this company if the township didn't charge me for their services in my taxes.
Santa Ana CA switched to Republic as of 12 days ago. So far, I have not had my commercial dumpster emptied once. I have called multiple times, and have been told "you are scheduled for tomorrow.' Tomorrow comes, no trash pickup. I have been told "I just put in a special request, you will definitely get picked up." No pickup comes.
My office is in a large commercial complex. A republic trash truck has, as of yet, never been here to pick up. Meanwhile, I have to leave my dumpster unlocked for them in case they pick up. I have homeless people digging in it, other businesses piling trash into it.
Ridiculous.
The WORST service I have EVER received. Picked up trash on time ONCE in months. All other times had to call for missed pick up. Sometimes over a week would go by until they picked up the trash. Do not hire this company. You will not be happy.
Do not use! They never pick up your trash on the scheduled day. You have to call and call to get them to come, as many as 5 days later. Cancelled and went with another company who always comes on time. I would give them 0 stars but you had to choose 1 star to write the review.
This company really doesnt try to pickup up on time. Not sure what the issue is. I have a feeling they dont pay enough and its hard to keep good people. This is usually the case of a poorly managed company from the top. Avoid this company if you can. We are waiting for our contract to expire to switch to another company
Bought an office building. They had an existing contract with Republic Services so I assumed it. Recently sold the office building, new buyer said "I'll never give Republic Services a dime of my money." So I cancelled the contract. They are now charging me over $100 to come and pick up their dumpster when I had fulfilled the full term length of the contract. Previous owner showed me where they charged him to deliver this same dumpster. Horrible!
Republic doubled my monthly fee over two year. At the same time my kids left the house and I went from 5 to 2 people in the house. The trash has decreased by more than 50% while the cost went up. I have been ripped off. I will let them know and then change services.
