I have now purchased 4 dresses from Retro Stage, each one has been perfect and I have had many flattering comments whenever I wear them, especially the 1920 Gatsby dresses. They are worth far more than Retro Stage charge. Absolutely stunning dresses!
If you need to make a return, as I have, get ready to have your money taken and your emails blocked! I have tried seven times now to send them the required information about my return and tracking number on the dress I've already sent out in the mail and all my emails have been rejected and blocked. Any time I send an email not including this information about how frustrating it is, they only reply by asking for the information again. So basically I just got scammed out of $50.00 CAD because they think if they block my emails they can say they have no proof that I sent it. Going to have to dispute this with PayPal. I am appalled, Retro-Stage! Plus, the clothing isn't nearly as polished as I expected for the price.
I bought this dress to wear to our 50th wedding anniversary party. It worked perfectly! The dress looked great & was amazingly comfortable. Such a fun dress to dance in! I did remove the little sparkly button from the neckline because it didn't match the jewelry I wore that night. It also washed beautifully. I washed it in cold water on delicate cycle & hung to dry. It still looks as beautiful as the day I bought it.
I bought the beaded 1920s style evening dress on a whim, wasn't really expecting much considering it was so cheap, but I'm very impressed. The dress is flattering, well made and arrived really quickly. I would happily recommend to anyone
What I have ordered is what I got now. Am a very happy customer. I like the dress so much the material very good and it has fit me very well no adjustments. Being my very first time deal with you am much impressed
I ordered a dress from the site and received a parcel from China with a dress that looked nothing like the picture. It is poor quality, saggy and the measures are not even the same as they advertise.
There are no labels on the dress and no way to track where it has been produced, which makes me worried that it has been produced using child labour. It is evident that they don't want the production place to be known.
I wanted to return the dress but they won't let me get a refund unless I pay for the return myself. The return costs the same as the dress and is not worth it.

My dress is really pretty! I love the cut of the bottom of the dress, it looks really cool. The overall quality is fine. It has a bit of a stretch to it, but not too much. Sequins and tassels fell off when I tried it on. Which is why I won't be keeping it. I want to invest in something I can wear more than once, and I don't see that happening with this one. Overall, it's a pretty dress and great for a costume! But don't expect much else after that.
This is the worst business ever. I don't ever write reviews but I'm seething. My dress was supposed to be delivered and they attempted on a Saturday when my business was closed. They said they would reattempt to deliver on the next business day, but one week later and it never arrived. I emailed the company several times but only got a robot response back with my tracking number which didn't help me at all (I already had that information). Then I called the phone number and either was directed right to a voicemail or a person who refused to acknowledge me on the other line. I will probably never get my $70 back and I'm PISSED

I love my new dress from retro-stage.com! I have been looking for a beautiful yellow dress for 31 years and I finally have it! I have had so many compliments today about my new dress and been called "daffodil" and "little miss sunshine" & made lots of people smile! I ordered a variety of items. The 1920's Dark Green Flapper Dress, The Beaded Shawl to go with it, the Apricot Sequin Apricot Gatsby Maxi Dress (pictured), and more. Love all of them. I plan to use them for photo shoots with my business. My daughter couldn't wait to put on the items! They are exactly what I expected.
For a long time, I kept browsing the Retro Stage webpage, trying to decide which dress to buy, since they're all so beautiful and unique. I made my choice and I absolutely love the dress. Although it took some time to get it delivered (but within the 15 business days, as stated on their page), I am very happy to have waited. It's a 1950s retro dress, that fits wonderfully (sizes fit with what I usually wear) and I cannot wait to wear it at an upcoming family function. Very good quality and very affordable prices!
The dress I bought from Retro Stage made the party soooo much fun. It fit very well, I played it up with some fishnet tights, a chunky little heel, some gold jewelry, and a headband. It was so comfortable and I received numerous compliments. For the price, I might consider re-ordering it in another color!
Skirt I purchased was initially sold out, I received an email right away and asked if I wished to proceed with the order. I did and received an email only a couple of days later that the shipment was on it's way! Efficient and detailed communication!
This is my second bad experience with this company. The first time, I never received my dress and they only gave me a refund after I posted a negative review. Then they offered me a free dress if I took down my bad review. I thought their dresses looked cute so I tried them again. My confirmation was in the wrong size and I immediately emailed them to ask that the size be corrected. They did not respond for two days, until after the order shipped and then said they couldn't do anything because it had shipped already. Once the dress was received they said they would take a return but only if I pay shipping. I was also surprised at how thin the fabric on the dress received is. It much less nice than it looks on the website. Not that that matters since I cannot wear the size they sent.

They let me know my dress was on on a little bit of delay. When it finally came in it was a little tight. I sent an email about exchange. They got back to me within 24hours. They are very pleasant over email and did everything they could to make sure that my exchange and experience with this company was the best it could be. I will be ordering from them again.

I wanted a style change up, I always loved the 50s style, but everything I found on most websites was bad quality and some didnt even look like the pictures, Retro had just what I wanted, perfect sizing chart, great instructions on how to order. Will definitely be purchasing again soon.
I ordered a dress 6 weeks ago. It made it to the United States 5 weeks ago and it has not moved since. I contacted them and asked for a refund since it was apparent I would not be receiving my item. Their response was to be patient. I replied that the dress was for a dance that had just passed and the tracking shows it in the same place for 5 weeks. They responded with my tracking info (which I had) and again said to be patient. Twice I politely asked for a refund and both times their answer was to be patient and wait for my item. I will make sure to let people know that their customer service is non existent and to not order from this company

The website poses as a US-based company. It is not. It is in China. Your package will take weeks to arrive, it will contain no packing receipt or return address, you will only be able to track the package if you can read Chinese, and your dresses will be defective and cheaply made. The size will probably be wrong, and you won't be able to return the items because there is literally no return policy. STAY AWAY.
I've had the same experience as most. The items took forever to arrive and when they finally did... CHEAP! The material was cheap and nasty. The shoes broke after only 2 hours of wearing them. The Company has been awful to deal. Most of their replies has been almost computerized... very robotic response. Offering only partial refunds, and when I say partial I mean of the $88 USD i spend they offered $16 USD!

Answer: XL is a Uk size 14 you have to look at the measurements not the Uk and Us sizes as they are a bit out. The sizing chart is at the bottom of the page of the required item go by the cm, s or inches

Answer: It's coming from China and takes 60 days… they add a s"order shipped but it's not shipped… it's a scam sight. Call your bank and dispute the charges.
Answer: I would say yes, China sizes. I ordered 2PCS White Blouse Top & Suspender Pants - White / XL / 10~12 and the size was smaller than a 10, about an 8, but you couldnt wear the pants anyway, so doesnt matter. They list XL as 10-12 but i would still size down and with how the pieces vary greatly, that might still be false.
