I bought a 1920's for a cruise and was a little worried about it getting to Australia in time, I emailed Retro-Stage and asked when it would be here, I was told 1 of the dresses were out of stock so I changed to a different colour. Love the dress and other things I ordered and they arrived in plenty of time. Small sizing but will be ok.

Ordered on 5/27, shipped on 5/29 did not receive until 07/06 even though I paid for "express shipping" so I would receive it in 12 to 20 business days. Because it took so long we had to buy another dress because this one did not arrive in time (12 to 20 business days). The only reason I gave it 2 stars is because when we finally received the dress it looked exactly like the picture. Had it not been for the SUPER slow delivery, I would have given this company 5 stars. Because it took so long to deliver I would not recommend ordering from this company.

Made me look great!

My 20's dress and headband arrived super fast. I ordered it for a roaring 20's theme affair. It was wonderful. I thought for the price it would be a single use dress, I was so wrong the quality is such that I can wear it many times. So glad I bought it. Both the dress and headband fit perfectly, very true to size.

I ordered a couple of dresses and although the post office says delivered, nothing came. I contacted retro stage and they told me i was SOL because the post office has it labeled as delivered. I have filed multiple claims with the post office without a response and have complained there more than once. I would never order anything from this retro stage again, due to this.

The dress is pretty however they sent me the wrong size and it was two weeks later than I was told it would be. Supposed to be handcrafted but it's obviously just machine made and it's almost impossible to get ahold of anyone because most of it is all in China. It was packaged as well as if I had ordered it off of Wish (which is not well done at all)
I was very sad and disappointed and will sadly probably never try them again :(

Company full of lies

I finally made a order and looked forward to my two dresses. Order number is on photos as couldn't post. I knew it would take a long time but dress finally arrived. However the first dress arrived with sitching coming from the seems. Upsetting but ok it could be fixed. A month or so later dress two comes not only did it look nothing like photo it was much smaller than other dress although the same size. I left several reviews / updates on trust pilot were i get bot responses saying they couldn't find order number or they answered emails and should check spam. Suprise nothing there. I opened a paypal case but the company said if i return at my cost of more tha. 50 euros they will refund. Which is not an acceptable response. Not to mention i have to return to us but dresses shipped from china. There will be a utube video review to also fallow.

Vague & Shady

Ordered items at the end of May and still have yet to receive them. Published shipping estimate "Shipping time: Normally it will take 8-15 business dayssome places will take 1-2months because of the long distance, such as South Africa, etc.)" - I'm not in South Africa. Tracking information provided didn't update for 12 days and when it did, items never left Asia. Item location never specified and while customer service did get back to me in a timely manner about verification of tracking number, I ended up ordering replacement item from Amazon. If you don't need your order in a reasonable amount of time, stick with Retro Stage otherwise you're better off looking elsewhere.

These people don't return your emails. I ordered a dress and cape size 1x. I wear a 13. The dress does not come over my head. The phone number no one answers. I'm getting in touch with the better business bureau and if you feel you've been scammed I suggest you do the same. This is the worst place I've ever dealt with. We need to get together and try to shut them down from selling on the internet. Does anyone have any ideas? $65.00 wasted.

Poor quality

Ordered Halter Polka Dot One-Piece Swimsuit in a size L. Arrived quickly however despite the website advertising as being a US store, I quickly noticed after I received my shipping code that the item was being shipped directly from China. Despite me checking the sizing on the website, the sizing runs small and the length of the body is ridiculously short - and I'm 5ft 3! Material is poor quality and the make is cheap. Definitely not worth the A$53 I paid. Will not purchase from this website again.

I ordered three dresses from this site on May 9th, it is now July 2nd and I have only received two dresses. The other dress is still coming even though I paid for fast shipping. The dresses themselves are lovely and fit me perfectly, but one dress came with a broken zipper. Luckily I know how to replace a zipper but I would be pissed if I didn't! The fabric on first impression felt very cheap. You can tell not much effort went into making these dresses with decent quality. I don't think I'm going to order from here again.

I ordered a dress and I was scared that there may be issues because I am all the way in South Africa but there were no issues! The dress arrived in less than 2 weeks. It was beautiful and it fit perfectly! I just ordered another dress! :D Would add a photo but I don't have a photo of it right now.

Fraud
June 23, 2021

Chinese warehouses with a call center in US. They don't answer phones or emails. Has been 3 months and still have not received product or refund. Finally q lady called me back and claimed she is the manager and the only person there who we could talk to. She threatened to hang up on me if I wouldn't trust her to refund money with no receipt. The phone number is not in the US or shows as a business on Google search. Please do not risk you credit card, personal information or patience with this 3rd party scaming company. I could learn to make the dress you want faster than you can fight the charges on your credit card

Beautiful dresses!

I have several of their dresses, 20s flapper style. They are all so nice! Much better than I expected for the price. I'm excited to wear them on my cruise later this year, and I'm looking at the 50s swing dresses next!

I got the dress earlier than I expected. Actually, before I have read some reviews about Retro Stage and I saw mostly not really good point, I started to feared, I afraid my dress won't be look good, late delivery, lost, etc. But after all, when I got my percel, I tried dress on me... OH MY GOD, it looks wonderful, fit me well, even my boyfriend said this dress is so beautiful and fit you well. I feel myself like the bride in that dress.

Poor quality

I ordered the1950s Patchwork Bowknot Swing Dress on pre sale. Because it was 100% polyester it feels like a cheep costume dress from a halloween store. I am glad I noticed the buttons were glued on. So when I put it in the dryer the buttons came off. Even the bows did too! I chose the small size so it could hug my form nice and well. The one English letter on the Chinese tag said small. It was not a small size, it might have been a large size. I am glad I can sew, this dress needs to be fixed.

If Retro stage is outsourcing, please make sure it is a quality source. I honestly hope that their other outfits are not like this one. Because there are a few other ones I would like to wear. But I am very hesitant to get more.

I recently purchased a dress from this site for the first time. The dress fit true to the chart sizing but I was too short for the full length dress with no time to alter it. I returned the item and was fully refunded. The process, while a bit cumbersome, was assisted very nicely by customer service representative, Bree. She was very helpful. Whole process took three weeks but went very smoothly with lots of professional communication by Bree. Only cost $8 to return too. I will order from this company again.

Great Experience!

Since I rely heavily upon customer reviews, I wanted to give my feedback on my recent purchase from Retro Stage. After reading most of the reviews I was pretty worried that I wouldn't receive my dress on time, but I did receive it on time. I ordered the dress on 1/12 and received it 1/23. So just make sure you allow yourself a couple weeks to get your order. The dress is exactly how it looked online and the fit was spot on. I am a size 12 and I ordered an XL and it fit just right, maybe even a little loose in the chest area, because I'm small chested. I think the quality is pretty good for the price of the dress. I contacted customer service and they got right back to me the next day. I plan to order more from this site after this experience.

My dress came in the mail today and it far exceeded my expectations! I can't get over how pretty it is (I ordered black & gold) and how well it fits. I normally wear S/size 4 (5'7" and 125 lb) and ordered a small. For an inexpensive dress, the quality is really impressive and I highly recommend!

Met all expectations!

I had a last minute roaring 20s party I was invited too and found a dress and some accessories on the site that were perfect. I ordered it a couple weeks before the event and was given a warning that it may take 12 days to process the order but after sending them an email with my concerns it was processed and partially shipped within the next day. Not only were the prices decent and the time it took to deliver exceptional but the dress itself was great quality. I lost a few fringes through the night but it was comfortable, fit great and I got a lot of compliments throughout the evening. I know a few of friends who have also ordered their 50s style dresses that love them. Worth giving a try!
