Constant changing servise
December 21, 2023

Dear RingCentral perspectives, Ring Central is constantly updating and adding to their services constantly changing the way they do things. Then they lock you into a contract so if you are completely dissatisfied with the service, they charge you the full fwees without any cancelation regardless as to how many years you have been suffering with them. I strongly urge you to consider other companies for your phone service.
Respectfully,
John Johannessen

You can send faxes from your email address and adding rcfax.com to your email address, and it is paperless. You can also receive faxes to your email address and it serves two purposes, the fax is scanned in and you can make a folder for it, and two you can access it from anywhere that you can connect your computer rather than having to be in the office to get the fax.

I chose Ring Central because it was slightly cheaper, but, as always, you get what you pay for. I gave up after a few failed attempts at faxing. When I called to cancel, I felt like the village harlot, being passed around from person to person, and it took speaking to three customer reps and countless minutes on hold to finally close my account. As an alternative, i've also used eFax, which seems to be pretty decent.

Ring Central is a very robust system and I like how they can easily get you an auto attendant which other companies cannot do this as easily. I also liked their integration with smart phones, internet faxing, and the fact you can get toll free phone numbers. The system the developed is pretty good. The only downside I think is the way they price it per user. The only plan that often makes sense for a business is one that has unlimited minutes and that comes at $49/month which is extremely expensive, especially when you consider the alternative options like google voice. Anyone interested in this service should also check out google voice and see if that almost free option fits their needs. I still like ring central but we cannot begin to afford their service.

I wouldn't even give them 1 star if I wasn't forced to. Ring Central has been stealing money from our Non Profit Organization for months. We have called to cancel several times and they have still charged us without permission every single month. We switched to another service because they were price gouging. What used to cost us $89/month started climbing into the thousands during Covid - as a Non-profit! We swiftly decided to switch providers and have been trying to cancel with RingCentral ever since. You cannot cancel online. You cannot take out your billing information. When you call, you get transferred a thousand times and someone then finally tells you that it is canceled, only to be charged again the next month. This is essentially stealing money - after they already stole thousands from price gouging! This is illegal and unethical and legal action will be taken. BBB has also been contacted. Stay away from this company, stay very far away.

I've heard rumors that their VoIP service has lots of problems, but I can't speak to those because all I use is their "mobile office" call forwarding features.

In my experience, those features have worked very well for me. It's a good fit for any home-based business that needs a call-in number without any special equipment.

Do not sign up for them. I entered into a contract for 4 licenses several years ago. I have been charged for 6 licenses and I have also been attempting to lower my costs however Ring Central unilaterally "renewed my contract" for an additional 3 years without any notification despite the fact that it violates California law and I am in California and their office is in California. I have wasted countless hours and sent emails and messages and there is NO way to resolve this issue with them as they simply will not work to resolve it. I will never use them again after this fiasco. Worst customer service EVER! I should have stuck with my old VOIP provider. At least they had decent customer service and didn't try to rip me off. STAY AWAY FROM RING CENTRAL! They are a scam and no matter how much you spend on their services, they will always overcharge you. Now that I am trying to resolve this I see that this is their way of doing business. Their practice violates Cal. Bus. & Prof. Code § *******

Dumpster Fire
November 3, 2023

We recently left office at hand moving to Ring Central as our demands for a more involved soft phone system was needed for my inbound call center for sales. My partner and I have 35+ years experience at AT&T from installing phone systems to marketing and sales for entire product lines. We have multiple business that are all reliant on inbound calls. We reached out to Ring Central to move away from our current company for simplicity and costs of the product. Porting day came... and went... and we are still without a working phone system. The run around between departments inside Ring Central is most exhausting. No one wanted to take any level of responsibility, asking ignorant questions time and time again, about "are we sure we are logged into the software, and is the phone on do not disturb" etc. when the phones wont even ring, all inbound calls fail at the dialing source. Every department claimed it wasn't their issue. Back and forth. For 2 days now. We finally got a tier 2 support person who stated it could be Monday before its resolved, possibly later. "That's great" I'm only going to miss 5 days of heavy sales at the begging of the month if its resolved by Monday, more if it takes longer. I have never been so frustrated with the lack of concern from a company as I am with this one. I would advise any small business to have a back up plan for you phone system.

This company is not up front with their pricing. I was paying around $65 per month for services and after porting my number and being with them for 3 months my bill came to around $123. When I called to see why the rate has increased they stated that there were limitations on my minutes and amount of phone calls I could receive for the 2 extensions that were included in my package. So I decided to upgrade and get a lower monthly rate by doing a yearly subscription, after getting the quote and accepting their proposal for about $790, they hit me with an additional $79 for additional taxes and fees, which I advise everyone to read their taxes and fees section because most of that money is not taxes, but just additional fees the company charges and is not required by any level of government according to their own website. I requested for a refund on April 12th 2019 and it is now April 24th 2019 and after 8 hours of hold time on the phone I still have no idea if I'm even getting my money back. This is by far the worst experience I've had with a company. Not to mention the phone quality is not that good, I still get dropped calls and I live in Dallas Texas.

Ring Central is a scam. They lure you in with a slightly lower price then the competitor, but they knowingly will get you on the "auto renewal" contract, so you will be stuck with them forever and if you want to leave you'll have to pay early termination fees. And the worst part is their Customer Service, Tech Support, Account Executive and Management - they pretends to care and speak to you nicely, but none can make a decision, they'll pass you around and make you wait for days without any resolutions.

I am a reseller/partner for Ring Central and have referred many clients to them. They have put my clients through hell, including myself when I called them. The $5 lower a month is not worth the headache for my clients. Not only I stopped referring businesses to Ring Central I made it a mission for all my contacts not to go with Ring Central!

I hope Ring Central Executives team are smart enough and make changes to their business practice and culture ASAP - their stock prices will reflect their decision.
