I have been trying to with draw money from my robbin hood account to my bank account for about a month now. When I try to do so I get a message saying that my account is restricted from making transfers. I emailed support about a month ago and they provided me with a link to upload my ID and verify my identity which I have no problem with. How ever the link provided will not let me upload a photo of my id and I've been trying to upload my personal info but the same message about hardware issues keeps on appearing. Now they are asking for my a photo of my social and PDF's of my bank statements. I am very frightened that I will not be able to get my money out, and it appears I'm not the first person this has happened to. If you are first getting into trading absolutely avoid Robbinhood at all costs because you may never see your money again. I am currently using Public to trade and I have had no issues with drawing money.
I had an open credit call spread for SPY that was expiring in less than 30 minutes, about $1.50 out of the money (for those uninitiated: unless SPY saw significant movement very quickly, I was golden). Then some bozo on their risk management team closed my position for a loss of $1,750 despite the fact that I had plenty of collateral to cover the trades.
In conversation with three folks from their support team, they all agreed that there was little risk to my position, there was virtually no chance of me losing more money than I had committed as collateral, two indicated that they are currently looking to change their policies so that such things don't happen in the future, and yet there was zero chance of any kind of remediation.
They are unilaterally making assessments about risk that have very little basis in reality and that they KNOW are based on bad criteria, as they are looking to change them. Incredibly incredibly frustrating. I should have paid more attention to everyone decrying them over the last couple years.
(As a further element you may want to be aware of: through talking to support I was even told that they would automatically close a credit put spread that looked like it might get pinned, even though the risk involved there is essentially nonexistent. I can't imagine how frustrated I would have been if that had happened. I have zero trust in them.)
This is by far the worst platform you can have for trading. It takes them a week to get the money out of your account and then another week to put it back in your account horrible.go to ustocktrade you can daytrade.
I have had an account for months and bought a few stocks. I was always able to use my pin and see my stocks. Suddenly when I entered my pin it did not work, came up like I was applying for a new account and got a message from Robinhood that my account application was rejected. I provided everything that support requested to verify but I am still denied access. So now I do not know what happened to my stocks or my money. BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY!
I don't have much in Robinhood stocks (to put it mildly), but I used to be able to watch the stock and add to it online. Then the website denied access unless I furnish a photo ID. I am not comfortable with that and told them so in emails. There are other ways to identify a person that is less intrusive. We went back and forth several times in emails, with their C. S. sending me the same canned responses over and over, on a wild goose chase. I repeatedly told them I want to cash it in and get my money back; they are not a company I want to do business with. They stopped corresponding. Now, I not only cannot get into the website without furnishing a photo ID — but they will not even accept my user name and password! Robinhood has my money and they are keeping it and refuse to give it back. I 100% want to close my account and have nothing to do with them again. But Robinhood has barred me from accessing my money in any way. In an email they wrote: "Your Robinhood Financial account has been locked. You will no longer be able to use your brokerage account."
I have never been so angry at a company in my life! I am 68 years old, on limited income. The amount is a pittance, but I don't have money to throw away. And at this point it's more a matter of principle. They literally stole from me!
I've been trading with this app for 2 months now. I finally figured it out and what I was doing and made some money last wee now everything on the app is working and it still won't let me trade. I've lost over a hundred dollars in stock that I can't trade and that doesn't count for the money I could have made in other stocks. I'm going to transfer my money and stocks to etrade if the app will ever let me. You also shouldn't trust a company like this after all the trouble I've had know one has got back with me and on top of that they don't even have a working number for customer care only a recording referring you back to their website. DON'T USE THIS APP. HO TO ETRADE.
I used Robinhood to buy and sell stock; especially in ones that I believe in. These stock include GME, AMC, BB, and others. While the stocks started to rise, Robinhood removed the ability for the users to purchase these shares and only sell what you currently have. They are manipulating the stock price by directly effecting the supply and demand as they are preventing an entire user base from purchasing stocks. Any company that does this does not deserve your trust and where you should let your money reside. These actions have shown that they care more for the 1% than the average retail investor. I DO NOT RECOMMEND. How can you prevent us from buying stock and state it is for our protection? You terms of agreement lay out the risk of investing when we sign up - do not pretend you are looking out for us. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!
I been trying to get my money out for the last 3 weeks, and there is no response, they got my money and I cant get it out. I totally regret getting this app and I recommend not to use it, I used to love it but they deactivated my account, I was not using marging and they sold my stocks, then I tried to withdraw and they wont allow me because my account is deactivated, with cash in it. They wont answer emails, direct messages on twitter, messages on their app... I am desperate
Because of several outages with Robinhood app/ webapp, I have lost close to $3000 dollars. One example, on Monday March 9th stocks dropped sharply. I had preexisting orders to buy some options on Sunday evening. I tried cancelling them on Sunday night and on Monday morning before the market opened and because of robinhood outage I wasn't able to. The trade executed and the options worth $1000 were purchased for $2500. I had to sell them for a loss. I am super frustrated and have reached to robinhood multiple times but zero response. I will be looking for a lawyer to address this. Obviously, I pulled out all my money from Robinhood.
Crashes when the market heats up. Removes ability to trade certain securities. Keeps your account on margin and will sell you out without doing a margin call. Use Fidelity

Answer: YOU DO NOT GET BACK YOUR MONEY. SO ONLY INVEST THE MONEY YOU CAN AFFORD TO LOSE. ITS BEST TO STAY AWAY FROM ROBINHOOD FROM THE START.
Answer: Yea me too no freaking help whatsover. 10 emails and nothing i'm so pisssed
Answer: No you don't get help, i've sent 10 emails since 10 days ago and now freaking replies. Never traded on margin or options and initiated a transfer out of robinhood yet they didn't move everything and now say I owe them money. Plus things I sold out completely on 1/27 showed up in my Merrill account on 2/2 BUT at a way higher price than I paid. So such a scam and they will never help you
