I hesitated to purchase from here due to the many bad reviews, but I didn't need anything significant, so I pulled the trigger. The prices were too good to pass on. Glad to report I got exactly what I ordered and promptly. I placed my order Monday morning, and the site said it would be here Wednesday (two days later), which worked for me as I was out of town. To my surprise, it was delivered the very next morning. I just got home, and everything ordered was well packaged and correct. I just put the parts in my car, and everything fits as described. My first Rock Auto purchase was a success, so I will be getting my parts from here in the foreseeable future. If you're considering RA but are thrown off by the bad reviews, I suggest experiencing it yourself and forming your own opinion. I did, and I'm glad I did. I no longer have to overpay for car parts.
Imagine waiting 2 weeks for your part to arrive just for it to start leaking and leaving you stranded on the highway with $400 worth of tow fees to get back to the shop to replace the part you just replaced. So 3 weeks and $1100 later for something that should have been done in a day, and for $300. Thanks RockAuto! Terrible Chinese Products. Avoid as all costs and buy OEM. RockAuto products have ZERO quality control and will ship you broken parts.
The worst. They will send you a defective part and somehow make it your fault. Maybe if you get a correct part it would be okay, but after paying for shipping both directions, and then install i am out SO much money. Adam sucks, and they could care less about their customer. I will never purchase from them again. EVER. Even if they are cheaper.

We ordered parts which FedEx would drop off at our local C-store. The C-store rejected the delivery, which meant it got sent all the way back to Rockauto. FedEx would not allow us to redirect the package, we also could not contact Rockauto, as there is no phone number. When Rockauto eventually refunded us, they would not refund any taxes, they also did not refund all of the parts. So for an order totalling $465, we only got refunded $97, because they said return shipping was very expensive. So I will not use them again, they are dishonest and totally against giving any customer service. Stay away, rather use someone who has a customer service number, that you can actually get hold of.

with your order, you will end up paying a lot more than going with a more reputable company in the first place.

I returned a $435 throttle body and they return me the $72 core charge said it was my fault closed the ticket and now there's no way to get hold of them whatsoever without a new order. If there was a zero star rating they would get less than that.
I will never use RockAuto again. I've ordered three different parts from them in two orders. First order never arrived - even though the address was correct. I shipped a gas tank and fuel float indicator to my mechanic. He had his address featured prominently on his building and on the bill board next to his location. I was charged and never refunded.
Second order arrived, but it was some poor soul's order located in Texas. I'm on Maui, HI.
Its not worth ordering from this disorganized and incompetent business.

This place sucks! I ordered and paid for parts that I didn't get and were returned and I still had to pay shipping! I literally just game them 30$ and I'm on a fixed income! Save yourself the trouble and go to NAPA or AutoZone! Then the website doesn't have a customer service representative you can talk to or call! They make the website where you can't. Rock auto sucks! I got less than 20$ of parts and it cost me over 45$

Received my package today. Got 4 bottles of Wash-R Emulsion. Ordered 2 ball joints for my firebird. No packing slip in a RockAuto box. Impossible to return as I have to ship across the border. Thinking of posting to youtube just to show how incompetent some people are. Picture of what I received. I would leave zero stars if I could.
The first time I ordered, was brakes for my sons truck. They were correctly installed, the same night one part snapped causing my son to wreck. After that I decided maybe a fluke, we ordered an oil pump. Installed correctly. Still not holding pressure.I will never order from them again. I am not purchasing the cheapest parts, I am getting mid-to-high end.
I ordered a break KIT from them. They sent rotors that were wrong in the kit. (mistakes happen) So I wanted to return the kit. They would not let me. They excepted that the rotors were wrong but wanted to charge me for retuning the pads and clips. I want a KIT! Not individual parts. And now, when I do get new rotors, what if the pads don't fit? BTW, they don't take phone calls to fix any problems like this so be prepared to spend hours writing in detail why you need to return the items. Followed by them saying no or covering half. ONLY low-level companies operate like this. Time is money, save your time and use a better company with a little service.

I have ordered from rockauto.com many times over the years. I have a collection of about 25 magnets they send out with the orders. That is a really nice touch and the magnets are high quality with classic cars pictured that are built from Rock Auto parts.
I have never been sent the wrong part. Any returns I have had were my own mistake, so I used the self return option and paid for and printed the return label right through the website. It was really convenient. Shipping has always been quick and the prices are always lower than the brick and mortar shops in my area, even after the shipping cost.

The worst experience of purchasing car parts ever! My complaints with RockAuto are similar to the complaints everyone else has. No customer support. Wrong parts. Missing parts. Everything gets mailed back at the customers expense. If you try to arrange a return by using their web site, the questions they ask you always requires you to pay the shipping return fees. It does not matter if it is their fault. You still pay! In short, this company is a scam. I can't really send back anything because I never got the part(s) to begin with.
I order a part for my Toyota rave 4 it was a vapor Canister. The make and model was right when I place the order but the canister they sent was wrong fit. I had to wait 6 weeks to get my vehicle into the shop. When the mechanic look at the part he said part they sent you will not work. Since it has past the exchange or return policy, no money back or exchange far as I know. They have no customer number to call or direct feed back to the company I could find.

I wish I could rate this even lower than one star. Customer service was awful. They sent me the wrong car part, and then refused to refund me the total amount I paid for it, as if it were my own fault even after I paid shipping to send it back. Rude over email and do not even have a phone number to call. Now, I am out close to $30 because of all this... Do not buy from here.

I will never, ever order from you again. You sent a 30 pound or heavier battery to me in a very flimsy cardboard box, the kind that might be used with cereal at best. It was packed with AIRBAGS, not even bubble wrap or Styrofoam. The battery fell out of the box when I lifted it! See the photos, attached. It spent days in Stockton CA, because it seems fed express put it on a truck, then sent it back to Stockton, presumably for inspection, then put it back on the truck. This caused me more days without a car! Besides feeling bad for me, you should really feel bad for the airbag packing, because it never had a chance! I have not even installed the battery yet, because I am not sure it is even safe to use, after your preposterous shipping practices. Goodbye Rock Auto, unless we need to do more business because the battery is actually damaged, as I will soon find out.
It's a great place to order parts, but FedEx just ruins it for me. FedEx is hit or miss and they don't have any options that aren't FedEx express and a lot more money or DHL for a lot more money. I will no longer be ordering from them until they can use more variety of shippers other than junk FedEx. FedEx will put you out of business if you keep relying on them to get your orders to your customers. I am 3 days past on over 500 dollars worth of parts to get my truck running, because of FedEx.

I ordered 2 Monroe quick struts for only $80/each. They arrived the next day. I'm unsure if it's because they were close by or what. I put the boxes in my trunk, had my car guy install them the next day and was happy as a clam.
I called around to some shops to compare prices and the average was ~$900 for parts and labor. I saved $500 by just ordering the parts myself. Rock Auto had the cheapest price compared to other major part sites. Very happy.

I've ordered from Rockauto many times and they always perform exactly as you'd expect. Delivery consistently on time and always keep me informed on order status. I've never tried to return anything, so I can't say how the perform in that respect.
Paid $50 for express shipping using DHL. Promised Thursday and needed part no later than Saturday. Package delayed until following Tuesday so I refused it. Rock Auto charged me $60 return shipping... Never use DHL and hope you never need help...
I have ordered a few thousand dollars worth from RockAuto and shipping is 9 out of 10 times late. Most parts are China made cheap metal and plastic and not good quality. After a few problems and horrible customer service I have now taken my business to American or Japanese companies with quality parts and service. This company is so non customer friendly there is NO NUMBER to call nor even a live chat on the website. That in and of itself shows they have no honor or customer values. They only want money for cheap crap parts from China. I would never use this website or company for any auto needs again
I bought a brake kit for my BMW but 3/4 of the parts in the kit were unavailable AFTER they took my money. VERY frustrating since I wait days before they even emailed me that most of the parts in my kit were not available. Poor customer service. Check our Auto Anything.com! Bought shock mounts using their guide (based on vehicle). The mounts would not line up, they were not OE, but that is all they offered. They made me pay shipping and deducted it from my refund. I will NEVER use them again. How can you sell an incorrect part and make the customer pay for YOUR mistake?!

I accidently ordered rear brakes for my Buick Century, when I should have ordered fronts. I reordered the fronts and they arrived quickly. I promptly sent back the ones I mistakenly ordered, and a credit was promptly issued, but for $26.03 less than the original order. I've no problem with them deducting the $11.03 that they said they would deduct, but they STOLE an additional $15.00 with no explanation. I will no longer be giving Rock Auto the $1500-$2000 annually for their parts. I've put up with their refusal to treat me honestly for far too long. I'll buy locally moving forward.

They sent me the wrong auto part due to their incorrect product description. They admitted their mistake, but only refunded me the wrong part and tiny 10% of shipping cost. They did not refund me the full shipping charge for the wrong part. They declined my compensation request because I had paid double installation labor cost since it's done twice due to their mistake.
Dealing with this company regarding the product or service issue has been a horrible experience. To make matters worse, there is no customer service contact phone for me to reach out to discuss any concerns or issues.
