I hesitated to purchase from here due to the many bad reviews, but I didn't need anything significant, so I pulled the trigger. The prices were too good to pass on. Glad to report I got exactly what I ordered and promptly. I placed my order Monday morning, and the site said it would be here Wednesday (two days later), which worked for me as I was out of town. To my surprise, it was delivered the very next morning. I just got home, and everything ordered was well packaged and correct. I just put the parts in my car, and everything fits as described. My first Rock Auto purchase was a success, so I will be getting my parts from here in the foreseeable future. If you're considering RA but are thrown off by the bad reviews, I suggest experiencing it yourself and forming your own opinion. I did, and I'm glad I did. I no longer have to overpay for car parts.
Imagine waiting 2 weeks for your part to arrive just for it to start leaking and leaving you stranded on the highway with $400 worth of tow fees to get back to the shop to replace the part you just replaced. So 3 weeks and $1100 later for something that should have been done in a day, and for $300. Thanks RockAuto! Terrible Chinese Products. Avoid as all costs and buy OEM. RockAuto products have ZERO quality control and will ship you broken parts.

I have ordered a LOT from Rockauto over the last 8 years or so. They have great prices, reasonable shipping, and big selection. The downside is when a part isnt quite right and you try to return it. They have an automated return process that asks you a bunch of questions to determine what went wrong, and ultimately if they will allow you to return the item(s). Answer one question wrong, and the part becomes ineligible for return, and you are stuck. If the part is simply defective, you probably wont have a problem, but if the part doesnt fit right, and they show it is correct for your vehicle, there's gonna be problems. MOst recent example was a set of wiper blades for my wifes car, (two different sizes). I installed the blades (trico) per instructions, and they seemed to lock into place properly. Well, in the first rain, my wife told me her blades were very noisy and werent wiping well. When I picked up the arm to look at the blade, the blade fell off the arm. The other side was almost as loose. The plastic inserts had weakened and bent inward during use, and the blades would no longer stay locked. I went through the return process for one, and got store credit. When I tried to do the other side, the website told me it was ineleigible for return because it was installed on the car. How would I know it didnt fit correctly if I didnt install it on the car? Of course now the part is locked on the website and the only recourse I have is go through the payment method, which is paypal in this case. All for a 7.00 wiper blade. BEWARE
I am located in Canada and I thought this is a good, reliable company. In the end, I had to pay a price for my naivete. I have ordered 2 refurbished break calipers for my car, under the condition that I will get a refund, after shipping back the replaced parts' cores. Their website says they offer a discounted shipping price, but there is no way to confirm or get a calculation of the shipping rates until after you actually made the purchase. When I did that, I got a "no can do" message on their site, saying that the refund cannot be done since the disounted shipping fees are higher than the refund for the used cores. Since there is no customer service (they proudly say they're an online only store) I have sent an email asking if there is a way to return the parts in person, since my son's in-laws happen to live about 20km away from RockAuto warehouse in Syracuse, NY. I got back a reply that sounded very much like a chatbot, saying that they have no in-person return and repeating the instructions for a refund that cannot have, according to the procedure on their own site. I then asked (via email, of course) if I at least can ship back the cores from my son's in-law address in Syracuse, and take advantage of the discounted prices they purportedly offer. Again, the same "chatbotish" reply, repeating the useless instructions I got in the first place. I replied again, asking for a live agent (or rep, or whatever) to interact with, at no avail. I even looked at shipping on my own, but the prices for shipping back from Canada to US a 24 lb package are going through the sky. It seems to me that RockAuto knew all along about this and kept it hidden, with the only purpose to lure you into a purchase that in the end makes money for them, and loses money for you. This is a DON'T BUY FROM ROCKAUTO big message for all my fellow Canadians. Go local instead, even if you pay more, and avoid being ripped off.

RockAuto claimed Moog struts to be OEM quality. Struts bottom out at the mere sight of a bump! Big waste of time and money!
Bought a catalytic converter came in messed up and they've made it more difficult to get it taken care of than what it needs to be

I have used "RA" in the pass and never had a problem... then they lowered the boom. I had ordered sensors, a Starter motor, and some other parts all on the same night when I got them thru UPS instead of all them being delivered all at once I would get one every other day, which was really time consuming, and the last Package was something I never ordered which cost between $79. And $ 130.00 and to add insulting to injury it's impossible to return. My recourse is to contact my States Attorney, and have his/her office draw up a arrest warrant for fraud RA is possibility the worst criminally inclined company in the world. I would advise anyone who thinks they/ve been ripped off you do the same. This company must be stopped, and all their CEO, CFO, CTO NEED TO BE IMPRISIONED, IT'S NO TELLING HOW MANY COUSTOMERS HAVE EEN CHEATED OUT OF THEIR HARD EARN MONIES.

This blows! Now more than ever I depend on rockauto they fail me twice! I'm doing my share of stay at home keeping me and you safe. Sooo I order my parts for a simple straight forward brake job on my 2015 dodge charger it has 14.5 rotors in front I received all my parts in semi fashionable time. What were supposed to be my raybestos 14.5 rotors were not! They were 8" 4 lug drums, not even close! So I go thru the lame online nobody to talk with n vent my frustration my concern I want my 14.5 rotors!. Ok so return for the correct part is my request another freakn 5 days of waiting great! Today Saturday yes parts are here weather is holding awsome! Open my rockauto box OMG the same freakn! Garbage drums AGAIN! WTF! FU rockauto thanks for getn a simple order wrong twice! I purchased a set of 2 TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring Stems) about $30.00 each. I had recently paid the dealer $90.00 each for 2 TPMS stems. I thought great deal! I checked My GM part number and cross referenced with the alternate OEM Part supplied by Rock Auto. The stems were installed but they were leaking where the stem mounted on the rim. I ordered another set from Rock Auto, then got ready to return the original ones purchased, and after I had gone thru the process of getting the RA (return authorization. The message popped up the items were not returnable because the products purchased were the wrong products for my vehicle. I HAVE PROOF IN WRITING FROM BOTH ROCK AUTO AND MY DEALER THAT I ORDERED THE CORRECT PART. THERE WAS NO WAY TO COMMUNICATE THIS AS THEY DO NOT TAKE PHONE CALLS NOR DO THEY HAVE A CUSTOMER SERVICE LINE, OR AN EMAIL ADDRESS WHICH YOU CAN COMMUNICATE.
BOTTOM LINE THIS WAS A RIP OFF AND A WASTE OF HARD EARNED $60.00 PLUS THE EXTRA COST OF DISMOUNTING AND REMOUNTING THE TIRES A SECOND TIME.
I am a mechanical type individual. Who once worked Heavy Line at an Oldsmobile dealership. I am a rancher who has too many pieces of equipment to ever have everything working in top order, so part ordering is nothing new to me.
Please be aware there are other alternative on-line parts stores out there.

Each and every time have used rock auto, right part -first time,on time. Checked prices- always best price and high quality.
I have purchased from Rock Auto for many many years with fantastic results and I WAS a very happy customer. I have 6 credit cads of which one is an AMEX. NONE of my credit cards work at Rock Auto, and there is no resolution and no way to contact them to resolve the issue. (My credit card company indicates that the issue is with the Rock Auto, after watching the transaction attempts) I am sadly now resigned to purchasing from ONLY their competition. I wish them the best of luck with their ZERO CUSTOMER SUPPORT, as proven by all of the people who have had issues, and unable to resolve them because of ZERO CUSTOMER SUPPORT. Well, I sincerely wish the Staff at Rock Auto the very best at their new jobs when they go out of business for not supporting the people that pay their paychecks. For your new job, I suggest you attempt real customer support instead of ignoring your customers. USED to be 5 stars, now 1 star, and good luck if you have a problem. Cannot provide proof of purchase for this review since the Rock Auto Website will not allow me to purchase anything any more.

If you have any problems using credit cards on this web site, just give up and go elsewhere. It's NOT worth the hassle since Rock Auto has zero support. Other businesses I work with have confirmed this issue and like myself, we have all been forced to purchase product from Rock Auto's competitors. I will only do business with companies that have real customer support in the future as a result of this hassle. Very sad that I have to share this news since I have purchased from Rock Auto for years.
