I hesitated to purchase from here due to the many bad reviews, but I didn't need anything significant, so I pulled the trigger. The prices were too good to pass on. Glad to report I got exactly what I ordered and promptly. I placed my order Monday morning, and the site said it would be here Wednesday (two days later), which worked for me as I was out of town. To my surprise, it was delivered the very next morning. I just got home, and everything ordered was well packaged and correct. I just put the parts in my car, and everything fits as described. My first Rock Auto purchase was a success, so I will be getting my parts from here in the foreseeable future. If you're considering RA but are thrown off by the bad reviews, I suggest experiencing it yourself and forming your own opinion. I did, and I'm glad I did. I no longer have to overpay for car parts.
Imagine waiting 2 weeks for your part to arrive just for it to start leaking and leaving you stranded on the highway with $400 worth of tow fees to get back to the shop to replace the part you just replaced. So 3 weeks and $1100 later for something that should have been done in a day, and for $300. Thanks RockAuto! Terrible Chinese Products. Avoid as all costs and buy OEM. RockAuto products have ZERO quality control and will ship you broken parts.
Knock offs products, they ask me to ship back the bad part and they will replace with the same company made. No customer service to talk to. Sometimes it's hard to do these things without a real person to talk to. I won't use again. I don't recommend specially if you are in Canada, it cost more than the part for shipping and customs and fees. Not worth it.

Ordered front drive axle for 2001 Saab 93. Axle worked fine however axle nut did not. I had to reuse stock nut, although it was not recommended as it's an interference nut. I tried several times to return or exchange, get credit for nut no success. Customer service is nonexistent at Rock Auto, buyer beware.

Sent me out 2 new headlight assemblies for my cadillac, and after install I noticed there's damage and dirt inside the housing. Now they want me to take them back out, send them back to get new ones, and be without a car with headlights for a week. And of course, it's all online you can't speak to anyone and the website forces you to do it their way, which is extremely inconvenient and costs you time and money.

Great price for the part. Needed the part now so paid $12.99 extra for FedEx to deliver this past Monday. Part arrived Thursday. No customer service since everything is done by phone. No refund even remotely possible because they do no believe in customer service! Get your shipment by USPS. It will het to you sooner. This experience really sucked.

When I bought my car parts I paid an extra $98 for express shipping. The parts were supposed to be delivered on a Monday and it is now Wednesday night and I still have not received my package. DHL was not helpful at all in trying to issue a refund for the express shipping I paid for but did not receive. It became more difficult as rock-auto has no customer service number, only email.
I payed for 3 day shipping I wont get it for 5 days and they wont even give a reason why its late and thier customer service page is less than helpful you cant even ask your own question pertaining to your situation
I only put a star because this site requires it to enter a review. They do not deserve any stars. I have wasted my time for 2 weeks trying to get and order but I got nothing but a headache! After waiting for my order for two weeks, the status page still says two things: 1. Order canceled and 2. Order is processing and cannot be canceled. I have written to them at least 10 times and they still have not told me when or if they are going to send my order. AVOID THEM; THEY HAVE NO CUSTOMER SERVICE! I am going to order from ebay!

Looked up lug bolts for my truck. Site told me what I needed but when parts were received they are not even close... too short and the diameter is too small. The return process is a joke. I've orders a few hundred dollars worth of parts from them in the past 2 weeks and they want me to pay shipping for telling me and shipping me the wrong part
My billing and mailing addresses are different my first 2 orders they did fine my last order went to wrong address because they got it wrong and now I don't have part and out money, beware they have no phone to talk to someone

You may look at various items to purchase but beware, they will give a different name and description of the EXACT SAME ITEM. And IF you buy it you are pretty much STUCK with it because to return it they will charge you enough return shipping so it is not even financially practical. And to top it all off THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO CUSTOMER SERVICE! No phone number, no link, no e-mail, nothing! Just a "help" icon that is as helpful as bailing out the Titanic with a shot glass!

I started out make a purchase from their site using the cascade menu they provide. I received the parts only find out they were wrong and started a return for store credit thinking I made a mistake. I discovered their site was inaccurate and emailed them only to be told nothing was wrong and they closed my ticket when I provided proof that their site was incorrectly listing parts. Absolute worst service and complete frauds when it comes to their return policy which states they will refund shipping if the mistake is on their end... NOT! Never doing business with them again.

We purchased the appropriate autolite spark plugs for our Subaru WRX. One of them broke apart into the motor within two weeks. The car is now unusable for three months.After sending the defective spark plug back … we have been ghosted. So much for great warranty I read about! I can not recommend this company!

Rock Auto USED to be a great place for auto parts but their customer service has deteriorated this past year and I will now shop elsewhere! Don't be mislead by their "in stock" inventory - and don't be misled by their shipping options and the expected delivery date that you have paid for! It is all "smoke and mirrors" and then when your order fails to arrive in the advertised time-frame, they have the gall to charge you for the return! NEVER AGAIN!

Part was defective, caused the car to breakdown, overheat and get towed. Pretty sure it fried the engine. Mechanic proved beyond a doubt that it was caused by the defective intake manifold they sent.
I ordered rear brake pads and rotors for my Jeep. They sent the correct pads but the wrong rotors. I tried to call and realized there is no one to speak to. Your issues are only resolved thru the website. This fiasco cost me an additional $80. I will never use RockAuto again.

I owned Toyota and Dodge cars. I ordered multiple parts for the last 10 years from this compagny and never got any problems. I could not evaluate the return policy since I always got what I ordered. I never mistaken the part too and I think this is the buyer responsibility to ensure the correct order.
I Ordered tierod ends for my truck! This garbage website Sent me the wrong size! Trying to figure out how to return them is a chore! No call center and no one to help me explain why they don't fit the truck! I'll Never order from this place again, I used expedited shipping too there's another $100 I'll never get back plus they make you pay to return all their garbage parts to multiple warehouses! Rockauto use to be my go to site but they've gone downhill in the past 6 years. Maybe if they offered shipping through UPS, they'll return to relevancy. Their main issue is their partnership with FedEx who's known for losing parts and not delivering on time. Also, invest in warehouses that stock parts and don't take 2 days to ship.
This company has NO customer service phone number. It's all done online. "Auto parts" are either NEEDED for a repair, or VERY IMPORTANT to someone doing a restoration. Both require good customer service. Rock Auto does not provide this.
Parts shown and described on the site Do Not always match what you will receive. If you're like most people who search the web looking for the best deal on the same-exact part, don't trust Rock Auto to provide that same-exact part. For example, part may look like the same Made In USA parts as other sites, but when the part arrives it will be an Asian copy. Such as the case with my order. And the only choice for a return or exchange is online. Be prepared for your project to get delayed. You will also need to be prepared to be out of money for the correct parts, while you await Rock Auto's refund.

I ordered a part and mechanic couldn't fit me in for 30 days. It was front wheel hub assembly for an 07 Audi A6. The part only came with half of the assembly and no one to call and return couldn't be made. Warranty was denied. Tried everything. Can't find the other part that's needed for it so now I'm out of $200 and have to find the whole hub and pressed bearing part somewhere else. I'm furious. All of this could have been solved if they just had a customer service. Not even a chat. No one to help at all. I have cried for two hours as that's the last of the money I had.

First, I don't write reviews often, but I wanted people to understand how BAD this company is to deal with. I would give them 0 stars! I picked out brakes that from entering make, model, year and sub categories. I received the brakes and they did not fit. They charged me over 80.00 to ship them to me and then over $40.00 to return them. They would not refund the money due to fact it was only a 30 day return. I never show this. Further there is NO phone support and NO way to email them from the site. We figured out how to create a ticket and they answered them. I had to dispute the purchase with my credit card company for my refund. Horrible Horrible company to deal with! NEVER AGAIN! Buyer please beware!

I ordered 2 struts for my 09 Ford flex. Paid my mechanic $350 to install them. They both make a horrible noise when turning the wheel. Mechanic said both are defective. I will have to pay another $350 to remove and replace. Never again Rock auto.
