I collect gemstones but never thought I'd have a collection of diamonds. Yes, they are Lab Diamonds (I do have a few natural) but thanks to technology and competition, I have 8 fairly large Diamonds, from a 2.71 carat Fancy Intense Greenish Blue to a humongous 6.25 carat Pear. 4 of my Lab diamonds came from Rockher because with all my searching they have the best prices and will also beat other site's prices if you can prove it's the same diamond. Each transaction has gone flawlessly, and no bait and switch. I ordered 4 diamonds in 4 separate transactions and received all 4, I was never told it had been sold to someone else, or wasn't available. This did happen to me with another online jeweler. Like all the others dealers, Rockher is a broker for these gems, which come from overseas, are shipped to Rockher, inspected and then sent out FedEx. I always receive the diamonds quickly. Beautifully presented in a blue presentation case with all documentation and an appraisal. There are 3 to 4 dealers online whose diamonds overlap, but with the GIA or IGI certificate # you can compare exact stones. Amazing but there can be not hundreds of dollars difference but thousands. Rockher keeps getting my business now because their prices are excellent.
Tip for consumers:
When comparing diamonds site to site get the certificate # not the stock #. This can save you thousands, for instance $2500 on Rockher, as compared to $4,600 on another site. That is major savings for the same exact stone. The majority of these diamonds are overseas and the online jewelers are only brokers. Lab Diamonds have also fallen greatly in price. Expect to pay about 95% less than a comparable Natural diamond.
