Great service. All items were as described and even better than expected. Timely shipping. I am definitely going to order again. Just wish there was more makeup sales and free shipping when you order a certain amount like 75 or 100 dollars would be nice. However overall would recommend.
Item didn't turn up even though they stated delivered. Have kept me hanging on for a refund for 6 weeks now. Need to be reported as scammers!
I order on January 17,2020 a pair of glasses instead they sent me rain pants. I had to return the pants and the glasses were not available anymore. I requested a refund and today is February 21,2020 and i still have not received it. The operators read you the same script every time i call. Terrible service i will never use or recommend Rue La La
The package came in timely manner "BUT" it was not packaged very well. The face cleanser was almost gone from it leaking out of the bottle plus the name on the label was faded - the eye cream I purchased seemed to be only half full. It is unfortunate because I was excited to buy from this company. I should of looked at the reviews. I hate to judge so quickly but I learned the hard way.
I have had nothing but good experiences with Ruelala. The only issue I ever had was not with them but UPS. When they delivered my package they placed it in front of the door to my townhouse. I have no idea why they did that when my town is known for the high crime rate and the office was no more than 50 ft away! When I called Ruelala about the problem, they were quick to credit my account in full.
Be careful with this company. I placed an order, received confirmation of the order, and then the next day they cancelled the order "due to pricing on an item being wrong." Most companies honor their mistake, not RueLaLa.
Ordered a suit with pants. Never receive the pant.
Contacting is hard, you have to send 5 E-mail to get 1 returned.
After that, I get a waybill to send it back. Sounds good right?
No, the amount of refund stated is less than what I paid.
Now I have to contact my Visa. What a time and money wasting shopping.
I love this site and spend a fortune, but get GREAT savings too. The downside is when you return (you have 30 days, unless it's a "final" sale) you only get a store credit. For me it's no problem, since I shop the site all the time. This site is really worth checking out, especially if you're familiar with designer prices.
Ordered boots no one else has in my size. Tried change order to smaller size, and was shot down by customer service, tried to cancel order and got the same. Found out free return shipping means my money is held hostage for future purchases ie merchandise credit. If an item is defective they want you to take pictures and let them figure it out. Sandi b was right about the horrible return policy. This is my First and Last purchase with Rue lala. Gilt (Guilt)is now owned by Rue lala so I will have to stop shopping with Guilt as well. Got my order, they are real branded product, and the insoles are not glued to boot bottom, boots are long, but not unwearable. Stick to Zappos best adjustment policy!
Fabulous. I've made TONS of purchases for the site and the service is excellent. The quality of the products is always outstanding. Things are brand new, packaged well, shipping is quick, customer service is great. There was only one mistake made for me out of like 40 plus purchases. Mistakes happen. I never got the item due to transition in warehouses or something... They didn't charge me, plus gave me a $20 credit to the store. Every other purchase went very smoothly. Items sell out fast, so you must be aware of the clock with this type of website. I LOVE my $700 Carlos Falchi turquoise hobo that I got for $230 for example! What a TREAT! :)
I'm obsessed with Rue La La. I've ordered shoes, lingerie, and sunglasses from them and the only thing stopping me from ordering more is my not-bottomless wallet. Their prices are awesome and their customer service is so personal and helpful. I'm not usually one to gush about a website, but i just have to with Rue.
I do a lot of online shopping and can't believe these people are still in biz. If you order something, you actually receive it, it fits and you keep it, aside from the amount of time it takes to get... the experience is ok. The rest is like nothing I've ever seen. Packages are undeliverable (Amazon seems to find me several days a week at same address), when a package is undeliverable I receive an email saying that I should be so excited as my new stuff has come. If you have to return something you don't see a credit for weeks. The customer service process is nonsense. Every email starts with "I'm so sorry..." they are not. I could go on and on. JUST BEWARE!
I purchased two outdoor planters from a recent Rue La La blowout sale. I thought I was getting this incredible deal as the original price was listed for over $2,000 and I paid just over $100. Wouldn't anybody be excited about that? The planters came in a large box marked "Made in China". Right away, I was a little worried but decided not to make any assumptions based on that. When I opened the box however, I found two light-weight TIN planters with a few small dents here and there. What would one expect from tin? They were unsteady and very cheaply made. There is no way that something like this would ever cost over $2,000. Honestly, I would think twice before paying $40 for them. These planters are one of the best examples I've seen of false advertising/misrepresentation. I'm appalled at Rue La La.
I have been tempted to order some of the items for sale on this site but I'm turned off by the shipping charge. I may only want to order once in a while and with all the major websites offering free shipping, this 9.95 charge always stops me. Now that I have read the enormous amount of negative experiences, I'm glad I haven't.
Took 10 days to process a return which means that they will cam me for another 9.95 shipping charge. Prices aren't great. Good to find somethings that you don't find elsewhere, but not worth the bad service
I ordered 3 dress shirts for my sons 21st birthday at an expedited order with visual confirmation at the time of order.
They notified me they were sending it regular mail and did not respond to my complaint. Thus, missing my sons birthday. I certainly was left with the feeling that they might not be an honest group and would never recommend them.
I used to be a loyal customer. Goodbye rue la la! I ordered an item on December 27. They take your payment immediately then forget about you. I was told I would receive my order ion 5 days and it didn't ship until 3 days later. It is now in fed ex never land. Twice it has been in facilities within 5 miles of my house, but it is currently in a warehouse in Wisconsin. I ordered boots 4 days ago and was now told they should arrive by the 12th. I can send items regular mail to family in Alaska and it gets there faster. I will share this experience on Facebook. This site has gone way downhill and has lost a once loyal customer.
Tip for consumers:
Stay away! My daughter needs this dress and I thought two weeks would be more than adequate. There are much better sites out there.
I will never order again from RueLaLa. I ordered a J. Mclaughlin dress on sale. Two days later I noticed that the local J. McLaughlin store was having at sale at substantially better prices. RueLaLa charged me $10 shipping and then when I decided to return the item, they charged me $10 shipping again with no option to return at my expense from the post office. $20 just to try an item. NEVER AGAIN. They are a rip off.
I made an order. First - size was run too small. Rulala do not notify about it.Its happened very often. Need return and again pay shipping or stick with credit. Second - after 5 day one item I got, went down on price. I ask for the price match. They don't want to do it - "big policy" -they don't want work with price. Greed. You bought - that what you have. Rulala have a lot of issues. Not worst to shop with.
I returned 2 items. Received an email regarding only 1 item being returned. What happened with another item $70 shirt that I sent back in the same package? No reply from costumer service. Will never buy again. Will be calling my credit card and reporting an issues.
I have spent thousands on this site. Ordered a pair of shoes specifically for a trip, spent $400 on final sale and they sent me two left shoes. Now I cannot get a hold of them. I've called and been placed on indefinite hold and not even sure what to do. Don't shop here. Go to Neiman Marcus or Nordstroms. Sales just as good but service is so much better. I'm in tears right now. Picked the shoes specifically for an outfit for this trip. That's ruined. Now at least hoping to get my money back which is doubtful.
I think I'm done with RueLaLa. At first I was very excited about the items/prices they offer but after several returns (because the item took so long to ship that I missed being able to wear it for the intended event, or just didn't fit properly) I began to realize I was spending a lot of money paying their $10 shipping and $10 return that I could be using to purchase merchandise at my local Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdales, etc. when they are having a sale. I know I could save on the return shipping if I choose to opt for a "store" credit but then that money is tied up for who knows how long. Just isn't worth it.
Over the holidays I purchased two pairs of Ugg boots which were delivered as ordered. After a few wearings the side seam of one of the boots began to split. Clearly this is a manufacturing problem and one any store would honor. Upon contacting Rue La La this is NOT their policy. Once delivered they absolve the self of any defects in the product if it has been worn. These boots have possibly been worn 15 times and the defect only became apparent due to usage. The prices seen on this site are also available via Nordstrom, Ugg and others if you have the patience. These other sites honor warranty. I would advise you think carefully prior to purchasing from this site. Their response to me was "sorry" - nothing more.
I ordered 2 face products that were supposedly worth hundreds of dollars for $39 each and a $800 dollar watch for $39. First the watch was huge and I have thick wrist and it kept making clinking trinket sounds. Very cheap looking. One of the face creams was packaged securely, but based on the 2nd cream I'm afraid they might be fakes and harm my skin. The second cream, the box was moldy looking and disgusting from the cream somehow escaping the bottle. Not sure how yet. I'm posting pictures for reference. I paid a lot of money for international shipping and duty. I'm chalking this up to a lesson learned. Never again
Tip for consumers:
Do not by cosmetics or jewelry. Might be better off with clothing or shoes

I spent over 4,000.00 in 4 months, most merchandise had been worn, or should not have passed quality control. I returned these items. They required photos, in fact one item shipped with two left shoes. When I went on line to complain on Facebook an yelp, I was summarily blocked from buying anymore. Don't waste your time, what seems like a good deal can be found much cheaper somewhere else. I complained to BBB and Rue La La
Responded with form letter. Complain to BBB about Rue La La, hold the company responsible.
Folks, save yourself some hard-earned cash and plenty of aggravation. If the size is not as represented on their site, (has happened to me twice) you are stuck with the items, many of which are deemed "non-returnable" for the convenience of Rue La La. Prices are nowhere near as "discount" as they would like you to think. I saw an item for $99 on Rue La La and found the identical item at a discounter in my neighborhood for $69 on the SAME DAY! Just lost $$ today because item I ordered did not conform to size represented on the site, was much bigger, and they refuse to accept a return, even for a merchandise credit. A bad experience all around, and I will definitely never purchase from them again. Totally a rip off and con game. They pretend you are getting a great deal. NOT AT ALL!
I'm a regular customer for years. I've spent many thousands of dollars and have generally been very satisfied. However, my last purchase, a $600 rug bears little resemblance to the color of the rug displayed on the site. So far they've refused to allow a return on this "final sale" item, sending an explanation that "colors vary" from time to time. Bull. I thought I ordered a burgundy rug and I get one that's violet. I couldn't possibly use it. Perhaps they'll come through and preserve this once-great customer.
