Save your money, time and patience. DON'T ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY. I've never had an issue with an ecommerce business until now and I'm baffled at how bad their customer service is.
Tip for consumers:
Do not order from them. Worst e-commerce experience ever.

This morning I woke up to an email notification from FedEx that I was getting a package from Rue LaLa, and I was perplexed because I did not order anything from them on Dec 31,2019. Anyway, I immediately removed my credit card information from Rue LaLa. I notified my credit card company of a fraudulent purchase because I know that I did not purchase anything from Rue Lala. Nevertheless, I contact Rue LaLa about the item that was purchased. I just received an email from Rue LaLa saying I placed the order, and I know that I did not. They informed me that I viewed the item at some point and wanted the garment but was not in stock, and apparently, the g came in, and they never notified me but instead charged my credit card. I would never order a dress from Rue LaLa for $250.69.
Moreover, this item was $250.69, a brand that I don't buy. I don't usually order from Rue LaLa unless it's from Trendy by Wendy. Nonetheless, I did not authorize the purchase, and I am guessing they did not meet their forecast sale for FY 2019.
Anyway, if you have your credit card information in Rue Lala, remove it immediately. Moreover, it's apparent if you like something and it's not in stock when the item does come in Rue Lala will charge your credit card and ship the item to you regardless with no notification. I won't be shopping at this site again, not even Trendy at Wendy.

Always double check the retail prices listed on Rue versus other websites because it's not always the case that you are getting the savings they say you are! There's also a ton of Made in China home goods that are terrible quality. As for customer service... I ordered a pair of boots for a Christmas present and they sent me the wrong pair (wrong style, wrong color, same brand, same size). They said they would email me a return label, but I haven't gotten one. They said they would call me in 3-5 business days if the shoe I originally ordered is still in stock. But even if it is in stock, I wouldn't get it in time for Christmas at that point. Then they told me I could go on the site and add myself to the waitlist for the shoe. REALLY? I don't want to be on a waitlist, you charged me for a shoe that I didn't want, I want the shoes I was charged for and ordered! Since it was for Christmas and I didn't have time to sort things out with Rue in time, I ended up giving the boots as a present anyway and luckily my sister liked them. What a disaster though for me to open my order and find the wrong item without any hope of getting the right one. Disappointed with the lack of service/help here, especially for the holidays.

I recently purchased a perfume called IVOIRE BALMAIN. I paid $20 for this bottle. Shipping was free... long story short, the code on the label on the bottom of the bottle shows that the perfume was produced in 2012! I sprayed it and now I smell like a old lady:(
I contacted Rue La La conceirge & was told that as an exception I will receive a full refund without having to return the item. Are you kidding me?! That is really insulting being that I paid for a OLD smelling perfume.
Also, there was a MICHELE watch sale where there was a Michele Deco Diamond for $289.99... the retail price was $2,095.00! I purchased it and then they canceled the order after almost 2 weeks. When I called Rue La La customer service, they told me that the company ran short on stock but will honor the price next time it becomes available. They told me I would have to pay for the price at the time the boutique is open, then I will get a refund. Makes me nervous to think I would have to pay probably over $1,000+ and then rely on Rue La La to keep their promise... we shall see. I have not seen the watch come back at all since that last time when I ordered it. I think they canceled the order because of the amount of money I paid for it...

I was about to purchase something. But before I could set up an account- it was trying to use my ALLURE i.d. to gain access to that account. It was unable to access my Allure account- THANK GOODNESS!
My Allure accounts are tied to a credit card. (HOWEVER they are tied to a credit card that is from a random bank, that doesn't link to my other cards or banking info).
I always use PayPal when it is an option. But, bc I ordered the monthly Allure boxes for my Mom & Sister this year. I had to pay for them monthly.
I was NEVER this careful before when shopping online. But 2 different sets of people gained access to my $, in the last 10 months.
A) 1 person was able to steal my credit card info (bank said typically, they use a computer program that tries a zillion numbers until one works). They apparently were in need of fake hair from a foreign country (?) and also an $850 TV from a place called Dave's in California.
B) More recently, someone had their hands in my actual bank accounts and stole almost 10k. The bank was very helpful. But the process is a pain in the $#*!.
I'm typing all this- bc I just had a bad feeing about this business. That's why I checked it out. Listen to your gut!
Good luck!

I've placed a few orders on this web site. I had a very strange thing happen a few days ago. I was looking at the item and it was $112.00. When I placed it in my cart, the same item in the cart was over $200. I called RueLaLa and the customer service person ("Glory") explained that the prices fluctuate and she wasn't able to do anything. I took a quick screen shot of the lower price and Glory told me to submit it to the customer service email and I would be refunded the difference. I was worried that it wouldn't happen because they have so many terrible reviews, but I did receive an email today that the difference was refunded. In addition, an item that I purchased dropped in price and I was given a store credit. The items that I have received in the past were in good condition and they are authentic. This business is like the Gilt.com outlet. They are related to one another and both require you to be a "member" in order to do business with them. The prices can be good, and if you are willing to wait, they will usually get better.

I purchased a silk blouse that didn't work for me (cheap fabric) returned for a refund. I received an email informing me I had a credit on my account for later use. I phoned talked to a patronizing woman, I told her that I didn't authorize a credit on account requested the charge refunded to my card. I since placed another order and when it didn't arrive on time I checked my order on the website and it was canceled. I phone and talked to the same woman she told me something was my card. I used two cards for the purchase of two items. She had no details to offer. I was annoyed that I was not informed by email. She said it for security reasons. I asked to re-sumit the order and there was nothing wrong the cards I used. She said that they didn't take orders over the phone that would have re-order through the website, (what?) So I placed another order with different cards, again went to the website to inquire about my order. It was cancelled again. This woman does not belong in business, she conducts business by retaliation, very immature. I have a credit score of 840, there's nothing wrong with my credit. Stay away from this business. I would've given 0 rating that was an option. How does this woman stay in business!
Tip for consumers:
Stay away from site. Ignore orders placed, cancel orders at will, no communications provided, keeps your without your authorization.

I have previously used RueLaLa with no complaints... until today. I am appalled at their extremely poor customer service.
I ordered a duvet set from the approximately 2 months ago and it came withOUT the shams. That was the first problem and then, I contacted them about it and all they did was merely apologize, seriously? Then I returned the duvet and used USPS instead of their return label only to never receive a confirmation that they had received it. So I reached out to them and they told me I had to give them a tracking number. I didn't have a tracking number because I sent it through regular mail because WHY would I pay 20 dollars in shipping costs for something I don't want?
Anyways, they told me that they really needed a tracking number. I emailed them back yesterday and demanded that they put me in contact with a supervisor because how do I know that they didn't receive the package and were scamming me out of my $100?
Needless to say, the supervisor contacted me today saying that they found my package in the facility and I would be credited the amount right away and that she was sorry for my frustration. Ummm, what if I hadn't demanded to speak to a supervisor and she hadn't called the facility? I would have given them $100 for free! All I received was a less than believable "I'm sorry but..." there is no but here, their customer service is terrible and essentially they're thieves. Unbelievable, I will not be purchasing anything from their site ever again and will be advising everyone I know not to as well.

Ruelala was one of the first flash sale sites that I ordered from on a regular basis (Gilt was my first). I remember being sent one of their VIP cards with my "own" personal concierge. I used to order a from them like crazy, but then started to notice that their great pricing was no longer that great. Then I noticed that some of their offerings under 'pre-owned' like Vintage Gucci and Hermes were actually knockoffs that I was very familiar with from Chinatown here in NYC. I did contact them when they offered a VERY fake Hermes silver plated cigarette holder/case with a lighter built in. How do I know it was fake? I used to see them all over Chinatown with every designer name etched in... just pick the name you wanted to carry. When I informed them that it was a fake they refused to acknowledge. I was letting them know as a good shopping samaritan, but I guess the profits won out because Linda's Closet still provides most their handbags and accessories for their 'vintage' sales.
I do ove them for finding those things that would be a pain finding elsewhere such as home goods. While I love going to the actual Home Goods (owned by Marshall's) for a great houseware bargain, RueLaLa is a great alternative for me when I want to pick out gifts, cookware, knick knacks, etc that don't need to be authenticated.

Hello!
I'd like to write regarding an issue I experience today. Initially, I did call regarding my expired credits $170 which I had no idea about having. Today, I wanted to place an order and use some of the credits but they were not available. I did call customer service to ask if they are able to reinstate some of the credits.
I explained that I had no idea about these credits and feel bad to loose them. The nice gentleman told me he can give $50 as a credit and I asked if he could do more as I had more credits. I said it is holiday season, cyber week and I asked if supervisor could help and reinstate more credits. I was connected to Jocklyn B., she told me that she is supervisor and she would not reinstate any more credits and instead of giving me $50 credit as initially was given to me, she did lower the amount to only $25. How great was that?!
I told her it's outrageous to do that as I was initially given the $50 credit. She said thats all she can do. So, instead of helping and doing one time curtesy to reinstate more credits, she did lower the amount.
It is absolutely not the way to appreciate the rualala customers!

I purchased an Ebel watch from RueLaLa for $1099. 00. They advertised the watch as being backed by the manufacturer's warranty. The watch came with a warranty card from Ebel. The watch stopped working after 3 weeks, and I took it to an Ebel dealer who sent it to Ebel to be repaired along with my receipt and the warranty card. Ebel would not service the watch because they said that RueLaLa and the company that provided the watch to them (Alliance Time) was not authorized to sell the watch. I spoke with numerous supervisors (Kyle, Jane, and Brittany) who assured me that they were authorized to sell the watch. Kyle even told me that the watch would be repaired by Ebel if I sent it back to RueLaLa for service. I mailed it in, and it was repaired by a third party service center in NYC... NOT Ebel. I requested that RueLaLa either work it out to have the watch serviced by Ebel or let me return it since the product was NOT as advertised. Bottom line after 7 weeks of phone tag. Ebel won't service the watch and RueLaLa won't return it. I have closed my account with RueLaLa which I have used regularly over the past 2 years. I do not wish to do business with them as I believe that they falsely advertise merchandise that they are not auhtorized to sell. I would not be upset if I had knowingly purchased something without a warranty, but when you buy something with a "full manufacturer's warranty", it should be covered by the manufacturer.

I found a great deal on some 14karat gold necklaces. I have 5 sisters and 3 nieces and it was Christmas time so I ordered 11 of the necklaces and paid for them. The company sent me 5 and then realized they must have priced the necklaces too low and accused me of trying to commit fraud lol. How is buying something and paying for it fraud? They then refused to send the other 6 necklaces and refused to refund my money and told me to contact my credit card company to get my money back. That was it I filed a report with the BBB and the FTC and the CFPB. These people are thieves and liars and sell fake items and broken items be very careful when shopping with them. I have not bought anything since and I will never shop with them again. I probably spent 50k there over the last ten years and they have officially lost me permanently as a customer. Walmart.com has everything they have and more and way better customer service. I would go directly to the manufacturer and google any item you see on this site and buy it somewhere aside from Ruelala they are evil.
