I stop at Rural King any time I am within 50 miles of one of their stores. We were recently at Rural King in another state that we were visiting. We purchased a couple of the summer sausages. They are amazing. When we returned home one of them had some mold on the inside. The vacuum packaging had not sealed correctly. I contacted Rural King through their website and asked what we could do about it. Less than an hour later Rural King called me and pleasantly asked for a little more information. When they found out the entire story, they apologized for the inconvenience and asked for my address since there is not a store anywhere close to me. They then rush shipped me a new one and another surprise was in the package for the inconvenience it caused me. If all retail stores were like Rural King the world of shopping would be a much better place. Thank you Rural King for being amazing at what you do.

I had a disappointing experience at a local store recently that I feel compelled to share. While shopping at Royal King in Bluefield, WV, a situation arose that left me feeling disrespected and unheard. Despite trying to address the issue calmly, I was met with rudeness and confrontational behavior from the staff. It was surprising to learn that the individuals involved were the HR and operation managers of the store. As a CEO myself, I believe in upholding high standards of customer service and professionalism. It is disheartening to encounter such behavior in a retail setting, especially from those in leadership roles. I firmly believe that respect and courtesy should be fundamental values in any business. I have taken steps to address this matter through legal channels, as I believe such conduct should not be tolerated. I urge those who value ethical and respectful treatment to consider shopping elsewhere. It is essential for companies to uphold values of respect and professionalism at all levels. As leaders, we must set an example for our employees and ensure that customer service remains a top priority. I hope that this incident can serve as a reminder of the importance of treating others with dignity and respect in all interactions.

The manager at state college store treats her employees bad. One manager Brandon has been accused of
Sexual harassment three or for times and nothing has been done. I would not let any female family members work for a company that puts up with that!

Terrible customer service they are super slow at processing purchases at the gun counter even when not busy. Poor set up has purchaser standing in the way of shoppers. Even when you order a firearm to be delivered to the store online a pay online they go off the date you complete the State forms. The waiting period is 3 days per State and they count 4 days to pick up firearm if it is a handgun without a concealed permit for Florida. I can't say enough about my poor experience twice and will not do business here again

They have poor care for their rabbits, cramming them into tiny cages with mesh wire bottoms. Not all have good access to enough food and water. I'm not sure how these stores get away with selling domestic pets as "meat," but it's inhumane and disgusting. At bare minimum, they should have proper housing and food requirements for any live animals they carry.

Horrible customer service. I ordered three firearms on June 5. I tried patience when my status kept showing "processing" with no other information. After more than 10 days I sent two emails that were never answered and when I called I had to wait 45 minutes to speak with someone. I finally spoke with a representative last Wednesday and was told one of my items was not in stock even though when I ordered it was shown as in stock. I asked if I could get a partial shipment and was told the person who could do that was out of the office but was assured that an email and a note were left on the person's desk. Now I have to order the two firearms that were in stock again and wait another 4 to 5 weeks to get a response. Absolutely incredibly bad service. This was my first experience with RK guns and it will be my last. Customer service is what separates good companies from bad companies and sadly Rural King is bad.

I had purchased one of these lift arms last year from RuralKing. Part was exact replacement and shipping was great. This year I ordered another for the other side of my rotary cutter. Part was exact replacement again. FedEx was only shipping offered. FedEx texted and emailed me daily, stating item was on truck out for delivery, then stating delivery delayed to next day. This went on for six days. RuralKing would not throughly investigate with FedEx. Only repeat texts and emails that I had received. Finally after 6 days of this, my wife and I drove 50 miles to FedEx to pick up item in person. Good bye RuralKing. Never again!

Tip for consumers:
Don’t do business with Rural King. Order direct from King Kutter.

Ordered a sprayer + weed control. They cancelled the order because sprayer not available and immediately shipped weed control for $38 shipping cost. When I told them to cancel the order because shipping is nonsense they said they cannot cancel the order as it is shipped. So it cost me $38 for shipping one bottle of weed control! They said they will see if they can do something with the cost and reimburse me but never came back. On top when i wrote them a review they replied it do not meet their website guidelines so they removed that. Stay aware and do not buy from them.

Do not buy or you will be scammed by this company.

After being a wrangler jean wearer for many years I switched to rural king jeans because they supposedly had a warranty...
Well like they say if it sounds good to be true it probably is...

As is the case with rural king. I took 2 pairs back to them today and they said there was no warranty on them... so they lied and ultimately lost me as a customer... my advise is buyer beware with this company

Stay away from shopping here. There new rule is you've got to push a shopping cart to shop, even if you want a small item. They're endangering the public's health by forcing them to put their hands on something that is already contaminated. Stay away from these stores or get sick.

I went to Rural King to pick up a hunting tree stand for my son. The one he wanted wasn't available, so being he was out of state, we were checking for another one. He comes home every November to go deer hunting. Thanks to Josh, Deb and Tim for allowing us to purchase one they had in store for the online price (which was not ringing up the sale price). Appreciate your patience and helpfulness!

Please see the attached photo. Rural King will not allow me to post this review, as it did not meet their guidelines. It seems as though you can only post good reviews! It also notes that they reviewed the attached and still no call to try to make it better.

Ordered some traps almost a month ago, said they shipped two weeks ago but tracking number says no movement. I called to complain & the gal said it will take a month to process my refund. So. I am out $112.00
For over two months? Will never shop there again.

Wrong item sent by RK -- instead of the item ordered, received an obsolete substitute made in China. E-mailed customer service to request return ship label. No response. Told on chat that it will be 10 - 12 days from my initial e-mail to receive reply to my request for return label to correct RK error. RK denied that I sent e-mail even though I have copy. I ordered the item from another company and received correct item while still waiting for reply from RK customer service to fix the mess. Will give business to a reputable company next time.

It took three months to fix my ride mower. The mower was under warranty and the only thing out of pocket was a belt. I was surprised that the acting manager was still trying to charge me for their service after 3 long months! They should have offered me something for free! What was the saddest part of this whole ordeal was that the acting manager lied by stating, " she tried to call me, but my mailbox was full." Total lies!

I realize I had the best customer service on Sunday than I ever had before. I think his name is Larick. I hope I spelled his name right. He has an extremely unique name, and personality. All I have to say about him is he's phenomenal and helping me discover things around the store. He even went out of his way to help my husband get something outside in the cold weather. And then he got me checked out by the lovely cashiers he also mentioned surveys, but I had to write a review about this young man.

Rural king asked me to give a review about product I bought online. I gave a bad review because multiple times they messed up my order and have horrible customer service. So they took my review down. So just know that when you go to their own review section. You can't believe it because they take down poor reviews about their horrible customer service!

I purchased a product online. It took a month to ship. When I finally was able to place eyes on it, the item was not at all as pictured. Missing pieces. I asked for a return and replacement. They refused and are making me pay for shipping. Still trying to get my refund. At one point they tried to take my name of an item I paid for to resell it. Yet they still want me to pay to ship it back?! Every time I called or went to store to try and fix it took 30 minutes to and hour to get any help, which was never much help, just another employee giving me the run around. Buyers beware, this company makes its own rules and admittedly follows its own laws. DON'T SHOP HERE!

Went to the store in Beckley, WV and poorest customer service ever. Did not apply agriculture tax exemption and then made us fill out new paper for the fourth time. Lazy cashiers. Laughing and talking with coworkers instead of doing their job. Hopefully I can find a better place to buy feed before I need it again. Would not really even give it a one star rating if it was possible to give less. Store is always nasty too!

Have on several occasions gone to by an item in their sales ad only to find out at the store they are ‘out of stock'. They do not give rain checks. They are worse than Best Buy who would only send 1 or 2 sale items to each store with the *, only while supplies last, hoping once in the store you would buy other stuff. I always just walk out the store pissed off that they have wasted my time. If they would have had the item I sought I would have purchased other stuff. Done with them!

I purchased a $500 gift card which I had emailed to the recipient. Imagine my surprise when the gift card was emailed to the recipient followed by four emails rescinding the gift. Attempts to try to straighten this out with the customer service representative via email were less than stellar. I am greatly disappointed. The explanation was their fraud policy. I still don't understand exactly what that means since I gave written permission to process the transaction. In the meantime, I am frustrated because what was meant to be a suprise to someone has turned into an embarrassing moment.

Logansport Indiana store is he best store around. Manager is on the floor helping customers find items. They have face masks available for customers. Employees and management almost always wearing face masks. Store is usually organized. Some of the employees need to be better at assisting customers but that is everywhere I shop. Rural King has just about everything needed and most of the time it is cheaper than Wally world better known as walmart. So if a customer has bad thoughts about shopping at RK, try Logansport store. They are the best. Spread the word.

I'm an ffl dealer. And I ordered two in stock handguns. They assured me that the order was going good everything is fine well on the 22nd day.! After an hour on. Hold! To get an operator they say oh sorry we had an inventory issue we cancelled your order. Stay far away from these pos. Totally in professional liars.

I purchased a ladder online from them but they shipped me a cat tree. I understand accidents happen, we are all human but I have attempted to contact them 4 different times through email and still no reply. It's been 2 weeks!
They aren't accepting calls because of the Covid 19, which I understand. But if they are shipping products out the door then they should staff the customer service with adequate people to handle things like this.
Seems to me they aren't worried about the customer, just taking your money!

I came in today to purchase my first firearm. I forgot my card so sent the money to my buddy who drove me there. I was unaware that that was illegal an honest mistake as this was my first time buying a firearm The man explained that to us very rudely. We were just standing there listening to him doing nothing wrong and he calls the manager for a "walk out" for us when We had done nothing but stand there. Very "professional" never shopping here or coming back. Thanks for wasting my time.

I ordered 5 four packs of Miracle Grow all purpose liquid fertilizer. They only had one in stock so they sent that, but charged me the total FedEx shipping which was four times the value of the four pack. I asked for a partial refund. No reponse. Stay away from these people.
