I stop at Rural King any time I am within 50 miles of one of their stores. We were recently at Rural King in another state that we were visiting. We purchased a couple of the summer sausages. They are amazing. When we returned home one of them had some mold on the inside. The vacuum packaging had not sealed correctly. I contacted Rural King through their website and asked what we could do about it. Less than an hour later Rural King called me and pleasantly asked for a little more information. When they found out the entire story, they apologized for the inconvenience and asked for my address since there is not a store anywhere close to me. They then rush shipped me a new one and another surprise was in the package for the inconvenience it caused me. If all retail stores were like Rural King the world of shopping would be a much better place. Thank you Rural King for being amazing at what you do.

I had a disappointing experience at a local store recently that I feel compelled to share. While shopping at Royal King in Bluefield, WV, a situation arose that left me feeling disrespected and unheard. Despite trying to address the issue calmly, I was met with rudeness and confrontational behavior from the staff. It was surprising to learn that the individuals involved were the HR and operation managers of the store. As a CEO myself, I believe in upholding high standards of customer service and professionalism. It is disheartening to encounter such behavior in a retail setting, especially from those in leadership roles. I firmly believe that respect and courtesy should be fundamental values in any business. I have taken steps to address this matter through legal channels, as I believe such conduct should not be tolerated. I urge those who value ethical and respectful treatment to consider shopping elsewhere. It is essential for companies to uphold values of respect and professionalism at all levels. As leaders, we must set an example for our employees and ensure that customer service remains a top priority. I hope that this incident can serve as a reminder of the importance of treating others with dignity and respect in all interactions.

I contacted the company about poor customer service and asked to receive a return phone call or email. After a week with no contact, I called them and was told someone would contact me in a day or two. Another week goes by and still no contact. They obviously could care less about their customers.

I ordered an atv sprayer and there was a snafu with the manufacturer, and it didn't arrive. I contacted customer service and they promised someone would call me back. They did, and it was Jennifer Tucker. It was obvious that she had real concern that my experience so far was less than satisfactory. Miss Tucker went to work, and contacted me every step of the way. Jennifer didn't make things right, she made them better than right. Because of this young lady, The Rural King site icon will be on my Homes screen. Great Job Jen!

Do not waste your time buying online from this company. It is the worst experience I have ever had buying online. Customer service is terrible and will do nothing to help you. Ordered a item 10 days ago and still has not shipped out nor will they cancel the order to refund me so I can buy it somewhere else. Do not waste your time here, you will be sorry.

Bought an item online and they sent me the wrong item. Customer service said it was a mistake with skew numbers, so why send me something totally different and never notifying me of the error. Horrible customer service and horrible business practices. Would have given a 0 rating if available. I should have read the reviews before ever doing business with such a bad business.

Tip for consumers:
Go to Home Depot, better service, products and cheaper prices.

Nothing ever from this store again. Bought an item online and sent me something totally different, but was sure quick to charge me for the item.

The clothing manager is very rude to her employees. She uses really bad language even around customers. I watched her one day tell one employee to step it up and that employee was one of the best ones there. She is a bully and I along with others thinks that she should not be in a management position

I bought two shop lights at Rural King online and 1 was defective. I contacted Rural Kings return department about the bad light the day I received it. It has been 2 weeks and I have not received a return authorization. When I call about it all I get is a run around. RK says on their website that they have easy returns. This is not the case. They have the worst return department I have ever seen. Never had a problem with Walmart or Amazon. Rural King is a rip off and I will never buy from them again. A company that rips off working people of their money is not someone that deserves my business.

Bad customer service at gun sales man didn't explain all the details of registration we went to help my husband that can not type he never said anything till we were informed later that it was void because we were there I truly understand there are rules to go by but shouldn't we have been informed before we were told it was against the law to help him? As they said you can go jail could have been so easy if you had a good customer service that explained it before this happened he was on his way lunch maybe he was hungry no personality what so ever

I have ordered a firearm on August 5th. There 7 to 10 day ship to store is a big joke. This is a firearm and I have no way to track my order. You would think a company selling firearms would have more control of their tracking system. I have a sign in and can't check because now their web site user not found. I will contact to sources to see if there have been other problems with them. { the BBB and Ohio Attorney Generals office} dealing with a firearm is serious business but not to Rural King.

I have been in there store a few times and there is no one in there that can help, so i ordered online and... really bad! No customer service! No anything! Do not shop at rural king! Stay away! Will just be a hugh head ache for you! Honestly a really bad company!

Ordered a fireplace insert from Rural King. Said it was in stock and would ship in 1-2 weeks. 16 days later the order status still showed Logistics and Not Shipped Yet. So I contacted them to find out that they placed an order with their supplier who had already cancelled it and they failed to let me know. So in short I wasted a couple weeks waiting because they advertised having merchandise in stock that did not actually exist and they didnt feel the need to let me know.

I did not because they advertised having product in stock and didn't. Then failed to cancel order until after I contected them. Which was after product should have arrived.

I ordered an inflatable pool from Rural King and was sent an email with a tracking number. I tracked it for 10 business days as requested and then sent an email requesting the status of my order. I was then sent an email stating that they canceled my order with no explanation. I'm furious! I would have bought the pool from somewhere else when the prices were reasonable. Prices are now double and triple. Terrible customer service!

I was trying to purchase birdseed online...first of all, it won't show which items are out of stock until AFTER you try to check out and have been through PAYPAL ( 4 times!), and it keeps asking for a shipping address, even though I have entered one multiple times. Get your act together Rural King!

Please don't even apply for a job where this man is any type of manager. Especially with Rural King. He lies on paperwork, allows support management to steal products as if they'd been marked off for trash. He slept with Megan Hudson in the Gallipolis Ohio location, both him and Megan were married. Now she's manager of another store within a few months. Guess if you're blowing the boss you get those privileges huh Megan? Both of you will get your karma with a quickness. John approves of baby animals being tossed in trash bags to suffocate and die. He has said multiple times that he hates animals and children. I sent videos and pictures to their corporate office and to animal rights activist LadyFreethinker to investigate his stores. He's ex Walmart if that tells you anything you need to know about him.

If I could give Rural King of Crossville Tn zero stars, I would. Each time I've been here, there's been some kind of problem, overcharged, price being different after being rang up than what the sticker on the product actually was, rudeness, disrespectful employees, and so on. I have asked customer service a question before, and was treated as stupid. Today, Wednesday April 21st 2021@ 11:30 am, specified date and time because I have no idea what the older man name is, but he was on a forklift working in the parking lot putting soil up.

Ordered shop lights on line charged my card and then cancelled my order because they said they didn't have any in stock but I could still order online for regular price. They said I could see if a store would sell at sale price but they wouldn't because they were not on sale anymore. Seams very fishy.

Store was clean, felt very welcomed. I have to say the floor associate or cashier I have seen the girl do both I believe she said her name was Susan she made my little girls night. Susan let her pet a bunny and a chicken while she was on one of her breaks on the evening of January 20th.

Ordered a pellet stove through this company and it was missing a part.Its been over a week and the part Still hasn't been shipped. Customer Service says this is all they can do. Absolutely Horrible, First and Last time ordering from this Company.

Bought 5 guineas from them. One died hour after purchase. They said come back and get one for free. Closest one in 55 miles n I drove all the way up there because they said they had some, they lied! I always get lied to! HATE IT! Pretty dumb. I go there and see dead chickens in there all the time n they leave there. They don't have clean water or the right food. WOrst place to buy aniamls. Overpriced and the workers don't even know how to handle animals. Would rate 0. THEY SUCK BALLS!

Order a product on June 22,2020 canceled it the next morning via email and phone conversation with Rural King representative (took 1.5 hours on hold to talk to someone). On July 19,2020 receive a message that the order I canceled had just shipped. Again I sent an email and tried to call but was put on hold for over an hour and I gave up. I know that that I will not be doing anymore business with this company.

Visited in Ocala Florida store today 11/30. First time there and not impressed with lack of merchandise in hunting and fishing department. With regard to CDC rules, despite loud speaker announcements re wearing of masks, numerous patrons NOT wearing them. Worse yet no enforcement by store management! Left and not returning.

Worst customer service ever. I purchased from Rural King and they never delivered my order. On hold for 50 minutes, then they said they couldn't help me. Toy was supposed to be here in time for Christmas, from Santa, and was ordered on Black Friday. They didn't care they were ruining a kid's Christmas, and said they couldn't ship it to me quicker than 7 days, even though it was their error. They treated me like I was ridiculous for asking for this. Don't buy from them if you want to get what you ordered. This is the first and last time I will ever order from Rural King.

In Indiana, masks are mandated by the Governor. I went today to the store in Terre Haute, Indiana. Over half the people did not have masks. When I asked the clerk she said that they were not to turn people away without mask, Capitalism at its best.

I went online to see if they had a gate and corral panel in stock at the Jeffersonville, Indiana store. It said it was in stock. I checked again right before I left my house because I had to drive the farm truck up there to get it. It was about 99 degrees outside and my daughter and her dog went with me. After the clerk rang it up and took my money, I went outside to pick it up. Of course I had to wait for about half an hour for some kid to come out and look around and tell me they did not have that in stock. I asked why the website said it was and he just said "Don't know, oh well". Very poorly run business. Don't believe anything they tell you! Not worth driving up there for anything!

Staff is rude and have no clue about items that are for sale. Shelves aren't properly stocked. Entire store is cluttered. Prices are higher and never have they honored price matching. Don't waste your time applying for credit they deny you even with perfect score after requesting copies of your bills. Will never shop there again

Save yourself a wasted trip and shop locally owned feed stores that take pride in their products and customers

Every product I went in search of for my livestock was out of stock. No rain check or offer to help order for delivery. Over priced on other comparable items with no offer of price match.

Worst service ever.
I bought a gun from Rural King website in March 2020. After 3 weeks their website showed it's sold out and my order was not fulfilled. Then I called them more than 10 times to cancel the order and get refund but no one answered calls. I also sent emails to them to cancel it.

Then I bought the gun from another store which was delivered to me in 2 weeks.

After another 4 weeks Rural King suddenly charged me again for this gun without my permission and mailed it to me. They refused to answer my calls or reply my emails anymore. They refused to take the gun back and refund me.
