I stop at Rural King any time I am within 50 miles of one of their stores. We were recently at Rural King in another state that we were visiting. We purchased a couple of the summer sausages. They are amazing. When we returned home one of them had some mold on the inside. The vacuum packaging had not sealed correctly. I contacted Rural King through their website and asked what we could do about it. Less than an hour later Rural King called me and pleasantly asked for a little more information. When they found out the entire story, they apologized for the inconvenience and asked for my address since there is not a store anywhere close to me. They then rush shipped me a new one and another surprise was in the package for the inconvenience it caused me. If all retail stores were like Rural King the world of shopping would be a much better place. Thank you Rural King for being amazing at what you do.

I had a disappointing experience at a local store recently that I feel compelled to share. While shopping at Royal King in Bluefield, WV, a situation arose that left me feeling disrespected and unheard. Despite trying to address the issue calmly, I was met with rudeness and confrontational behavior from the staff. It was surprising to learn that the individuals involved were the HR and operation managers of the store. As a CEO myself, I believe in upholding high standards of customer service and professionalism. It is disheartening to encounter such behavior in a retail setting, especially from those in leadership roles. I firmly believe that respect and courtesy should be fundamental values in any business. I have taken steps to address this matter through legal channels, as I believe such conduct should not be tolerated. I urge those who value ethical and respectful treatment to consider shopping elsewhere. It is essential for companies to uphold values of respect and professionalism at all levels. As leaders, we must set an example for our employees and ensure that customer service remains a top priority. I hope that this incident can serve as a reminder of the importance of treating others with dignity and respect in all interactions.

This store is dirty,, dead mice on glue traps. Filthy gross floors. Noone employees wears a mask, no shields between customers and employees. No 1 employee cleaned a cart I believe that also is a cdc requirement. Dontt worry about the bars. Go to this place there are breaking every rule. This place is a cvid 19 petri dish.

Got a side by side at Rural King (E-town) had issues with it. Took it to Glasgow Rural King. They worked hard to fix the issue. As they fixed the issue they found another issue with it. I returned it right there. The staff were outstanding and very understanding. The Company paid off the loan and sent me e a check for the payment I had made, all was completed within one week. I never had to call to see what was the problem. They took care of me. If all companies would take care of their customers as Rural King did, we all would be better off. Thank you Rural King and my hats off the staff at the Glasgow Rural King. I will shop there as long as I can, once again thank you all

I ordered online from the site and they took no time at all taking my money. After weeks of waiting for them to ship I sent an email asking for an update. I didn't even get a response back and just got an email saying they're canceling my order. I still needed to fight to get my money back from them. Definitely pay via PayPal or you will get scammed and this company will steal your money. This is hands down one of the most pathetic companies I've even dealt with.

I ordered a pool and three LEGO bins. The pool arrived, the bins did not. Their site still said the item was available, so I figured there was some delay from Covid or something. Nope. After a month, I reached out, and they said it wasn't in stock. It's almost two months now and still no refund for the bins, either. I won't shop with them again. Total incompetence.

I wanted to return a product that only cost $5. I had my receipt and purchased it within the month. I had to provide my name address and phone number. I have never been given such a third-degree on a legitimate return when I provided a receipt.

I ordered a Husqvarna mower online, they said it was in stock. After a week, I went online to get a status update but the site said my order didn't exist. I contacted customer service via email to address the issue and find out what the problem was. Now they are telling me they are out of them and are on backorder with no ETA. They said 10 business days before I can get a refund so I can purchase another one. In the meantime, I am paying someone to mow both my yard and my daughters yard. My opinion, I should have been refunded immediately when they discovered they were out of stock, I shouldn't have to chase them down for an answer. My money left my account immediately but they can't refund immediately for their error. I won't be doing any more business with this company, online or at the local store.

I am very disappointed in their policy of orders online. We placed the order onlin due to the "stay at home" issues. They charged our credit card the full amount. Then without any reason, they canceled the order. I called customer service, I was on hold for 1hr 25 minutes. They can only say "sorry about that" we must have run out of stock. Now when we try to purchase it elsewhere, it will not be received in time for Christmas. Other suppliers have to item, but shipping is the issue. I will not be ordering from Rural King in the future. This is not the only time they have really screwed us over. And they don't offer anything for all the inconvenience. A very poor customer service from the company. The actual customer service agent was very understanding and professional.

Called Sweetwater rural king needing a pallet of 24d. Girl in customer service said they had it and I told her it would take me an hour to drive there and I would get it. She said ok. When I arrived she said she could only sell me 2 jugs
Wasted drive and time -Will never be back
Very bad customer service

Worst customer service ever! Ordered my first firearm, was pretty excited about it until I had to start dealing with this company. Put my order in February, never heard anything or got an email so I called and was told they didn't know why my order hasn't been shipped. Said they had to email a supervisor and would email me the reason it was still there. Never heard from them so I called back, was told it would be shipped March 13th. I called March 14th to make sure, still hasn't been shipped. I asked if I could be compensated in some form like a box of free ammo or a discount for all these delays and was told there was nothing they could do. I asked if they could overnight the shipment and was told no, has to come by truck. So buying my first gun has been a complete disaster because of this extremely horrible company.

I recently went to the Rural King in $tate College with my daughter to buy some potting soil. We went to the yard to see what they had. I decided on some organic potting soil. Went inside to pay. The cashier kept calling it garden soil. I kept reminding her that I wanted potting soil...not garden soil. Not once did she call it potting soil! I paid and she handed me the ticket and said "Here is the ticket for your garden soil" I glared at her and said "potting soil, not garden soil!"I looked at the ticket to make sure it said potting soil. It did. Gave the boy outside my ticket and he loaded up my 2 bags. Went home and guess what? I had 2 bags of GARDEN SOIL!(!. I don't have a garden. Only containers. I have no use for garden soil. It is not the same as potting soil. Idiots.

Store number 100 in Ocala, FL. Price in store was very different than price online. $4.00 different. Trying to get price straightened out, customer service was a disaster. Worst I have ever encountered. Gave up on customer service & went to a checkout & the "lady" there was very rude. BYE rural king, never again.

Tip for consumers:
Beware of rural king's pricing & customer service.

I was at Rural King in Zanesville Ohio Friday 29th. 2022. I was needing assistance with a purchase and help loading purchase. Ally was so sweet and helped me with everything I needed; Ally and another associate Stephanie loaded my purchase into my truck. Both of these young ladies were professional and very helpful. And I wanted them to be recognized as exceptional employees.

On May 4 2020. I ordered a few items wrote them 11 days later to see where items are n why not shipped? Received a reply that they were processing it. Waited another couple days items still not shipped. Wrote again to cancel order they said I couldn't and no refund. Really? They took my money on May 4. Still disappointed and no response. I wouldn't recommend this business to anyone. What terrible experience.

I needed a PTO for a John Deere brush mower. The description was what I need. When I received the PTO, it was 8 inches too short. The invoice stated a shorter length than the online length. I emailed Ruralking immediately. Their answer was they do not take phone calls and they are over a MONTH behind, they will email me when they get to me. If you cannot believe their description, how do you ever expect to get the right parts. I should have researched before I bought. The bad ratings were there.

I see lots of negative reviews on Rural King but myself I have to give them 5 Stars. I have bought from Owensboro, Greenville and Glascow stores and nothing less than personal satisfaction from all 3. I've purchased in house and ordered online to pickup in store and some delivered to my home. In fact as I write this I just received my 1,000 rounds of 5.56 ammo. I will continue to buy Rural King if possible. They ordered me a gun that local Cabelas and Gander could not or would not order for me. I picked it up at Glascow store and process went smooth.

All I can say is they have my business when possible.

They doubled the price of shipping on me after I put in my creditcard info and hit submit. I contacted them and they agreed this was a mistake but never refunded me the money (it was a heavy package so the shipping was heavy too... so imaging paying double). They also never sent me a confirmation email with my order number or the summary of my purchase.

Tip for consumers:
I just wouldn't if you can get it somewhere else. I couldn't find the product that I needed anywhere for the price they were offering, so I went with Rural King. Since they double charged shipping, it ironically ended up costing me the same amount had I gone with Amazon instead.

I made a purchase on line.It had to go through a 3rd party to receive FFL. Not only did they not respond to my emails when they finally did it was to inform me that the 3rd party did not respond false they never contacted the 3rd party which I had called they said they never received request.
I personally will never do business again with this company Rural King.
Phone number listed says to better serve you write email folks that is what I dealt with.

Drove to 2 rural kings
Glasgow Ky and Clarksville TN to get a item that was listed on Rural King website stating it was in stock at both stores. Neither store had the item. I came home to Bowling Green without the product and spent a lot on gas traveling for no reason.

I have been a customer of Rural King for more than a decade. This is partly by preference and partly by virtue of no other supplier in the area for my needs. Most of the time the items I need for my 2 horses are available. I order by website bc I cannot lift the items I need. The website is TERRIBLE. It looks like it was designed in 1995 and has had no updates since that time. It takes at least 5 minutes to order one item and get it, correctly, in the cart. I have had the site not put the correct number of items in my cart, tell me there is no inventory of what I'm trying to order- when a trip to the store demonstrates 2 pallets on the floor -and give me numerous error codes for my credit card. PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF gOD, upgrade this site! It needs to reflect that this is a website in the 21st century!

Tip for consumers:
Be prepared to spend 3 times what you should do to lack of any upgrades since the 20th century

I attempted to make a purchase online but the price of the item changed when I selected it from the email ad. I emailed back and forth with customer service and even sent pictures of the email ad price and the price it changed to when you hit the item to add it to a cart. I was eventually told to call and I could get the correct price that way. I did and was told the person I'd been emailing with was gone and no one else could place my order with the price on the email ad. It was a de-icer that showed 14.98 on the ad but went up to 19.98 when selected. This has been extremely frustrating and so unprofessional it needs to be documented and I'll definitely be writing reviews about this

After waiting a month and a half for my gun to get somewhere, I was told it was sent to someplace. They didn't have a license to sell guns then sent back to their warehouse where they sold to somebody else. I was putting on a wait list. Thanks to Destiny and Jenifer. Nothing happened the worst. Worst customer service I have ever encountered in any sale or on doing please if you are to buy a gun, do not buy it from rural kings. They are horrible. They are liars, and they are deceitful.

I have always enjoyed shopping at rural king, but recently during the lockdown, they had a sale where you could get a 14ft trampoline for $199. My local store didnt have any, and said they didnt have any coming, so i tried to see if i could order one. Oh yeah you could order one, but the shipping cost was unbelievable! The whole trampoline was 199$, but the shipping was $244 for shipping, plus other taxes. I couldnt believe that. It was like 500$ all together. My daughter is turning 11 next week, in lockdown, and I had hoped to have her something fun to play on. Unfortunately I will not be able to do that now. There should be a way to have it delivered to the local store for an in store pick up, for free, or a small fee. 244$ was just too much!

I loved going to rural king until, I'd put a savage 6.5 on layaway and month and half later went to get it out. I filled my back ground papers out and everything submitted. It came back as delayed, ok that's fine things happen. They told me 3 to 5 days. 5 days went by I went to get my gun. Wouldn't let me have my gun, said it was still delayed. I told them that according to the BRADY LAW after 5 days the gun is supposed to handed over to me, if my background check came back that I couldn't buy then cops would come get it. So rural king proceed to tell me that it's against store policy to follow this laws. Which I don't understand that a store could over ride federal government. Anyway I got my money back at which the kept a 10 dollar restock fee. I went to another store and bought the same gun and walked out the door with it the same night I bought it. I wouldn't recommend buying a gun from here

I ordered a swing cushion set and it showed in stock when I ordered it. They took my money immediately. I received an email 5 days later that my order had been cancelled and I would receive a refund, no explaination given. I emailed to find out why my order was cancelled and was told it was out of stock. They should have known this before they took my payment, shipping was almost as much as the item I ordered. I emailed again this morning to find out when I could expect a refund and havent heard back. I will give them a week and if I dont get refund, I will report to BBB.

Several times now in the morristown TN store I have gotten a sales paper for a certain day and saw something I was interested in. Made the trip to the store within an hour after it opened and then told the item was sold out. If you don't have enough of the product to serve enough of your customers you shouldn't put it in the paper. I feel like you are using it as bait and like you would an animal. The manager of this store should be fired immediately because I wasn't the only one there looking for this product and we were all not happy with it. Some said that they didn't even have the product to begin with. I will take my business elsewhere.
