I started photographing Blues players in 2011. Although I received a little bit of love from some local players and major professionals, for the most part I was treated like an amateur. 6 albums, 2 short films and a VSP EYEWEAR commercial later I was again treated like an amateur. They have no foresight and I was treated like $#*! in Sacramento, a cess pool now, not any smarter than they were back in 2011. My work was published free without any thoughts of payment. Couldn't conceptualize that photos of performers could be made in to merchandise as per my example included here. Now a hack in Sacramento will steal the concept producing inferior work. Unbelievably short sighted and behind the times. Can't stand to be told they're wrong and refuse to accept they are lacking in respect for the hard work and innovation I brought to photography and music in Sacramento. Here I am pictured with John Mayall when I was homeless in July 2015. Homeless I was still producing cutting edge work. Wouldn't have a clue what serious photography and design work takes. Repeatedly passed by by a community I supported for years. Unbelievable stupid and lacking courage. I supported these people for years, but when we were violated they had nothing to say. Bet you never get my work again. Grow a pair and admit your wrongs?
