“Good customer service”

Heather H.
12/27/21

So Ive had 2 watches from Samsung in the past 2.5 years or so. My first one stopped working properly in about 8 or 9 months so it was still under warranty. They were really good about trying to fix it and with keeping communication with me however I don't feel like the smart watches are really good. They replaced my first with a check and I purchased another one, next generation. So far not bad but I feel like Samsung's watches and phones tend to "die" rather quickly. Customer service is A+ though.

“Be aware that Samsung UK charges a 20% fee on returned devices—essentially a "handling fee"”

K B.
10/29/24

Important Notice: Samsung UK's Unfair Return Policy! Attention, everyone: Be aware that Samsung UK charges a 20% fee on returned devices—essentially a "handling fee" that, in many cases, costs hundreds of pounds. In my experience, they charged me a shocking £160 just for unboxing and returning a device. This is not only outrageous but could also be in violation of consumer rights in the UK. Samsung seems unwilling to comply with fair return practices, which is why I'm sharing this to warn others. Consider this carefully before purchasing from them. Let's hold companies accountable for their treatment of customers!

I use to be a big fan of Samsung electronics. Now it all seems to be garbage. I bought a tv from Walmart and it crapped out after 8 days. I paid 8000 for a fridge and the ice maker has given me nothing but grief since day 1. I will never purchase or recommend a Samsung product to anyone and will discourage the purchase to anyone I can. This is now a company that seems solely focused on profits rather then product quality or customer service from what I have read and experienced.

Tip for consumers:
DO NOT BUY SAMSUNG

I shopped for a bright room TV. Online experts said to get newest Samsung QLED TV. It was over $1000 for 43". It was delivered. It would not boot when plugged in. Hours on phone with Samsung, had to re-box, lug to FedEx store to return. Customer Service didn't care., totally up to me to deal with this piece of crap. DON'T BUY from Samsung online. They really don't care after sale.

Do not buy Samsung, period. We purchased this refrigerator less than 5 years ago and the top ice maker stopped working. Contacted Samsung after reading so many other reviews about defective ice makers in their refrigerators to ask for help with repair, as this is a $3,000 refrigerator that should not need repair after so short a time. I was told there was nothing they could do and to call a service tech or buy a guide to try to repair myself. Told Samsung they should take a look at the astounding number of complaints with their refrigerators and stand behind the quality of their products and the consumers who keep them in business. They don't seem interested in doing either, only interested in ripping consumers off with a poor product and poor customer service. This will be the last Samsung appliance I will ever purchase and encourage others to stay away from this brand as well.

Samsung appliance warranty for service is terrible. If you need a part you may have to wait a month before your appliance would be repaired. This is after waiting for two weeks for a tech to show up. Called a number of appliance repair shops and they do not work with Samsung due to the impossible requirements that they must meet. Wished I had checked the reviews on Samsung before purchasing their products.

I set up an account with Samsung to purchase a streaming service. I never completed the transaction, and subsequently closed the account. It was open for 2 days. Then Samsung charged my debit card $. 15. Yes, 15 cents. So, for $00.15 dollars Samsung has lost a customer. I don't care if I live to be 100 I will never purchase another Samsung product. Do business with disorganized mess if you choose, but remember that if you ever have a problem with any of their products you are better off writing off the money paid than attempting to resolve the problem with Samsung! They are the most hopeless company I have ever encountered.

Stove top purchased on 3 months ago. Top is peeling off and THEY refuse to do anything about it! An hour plus speaking with 3 different people and they all give you language deep in some website somewhere why they won't back up their products! Do NOT purchase their products. Buy KitchenAid, better to spend a little more and have it backed up.

We purchased a Samsung top of the line top loading washing machine and dryer and in less than 5 years, had two repairman out to try and figure out why debris was being left on my clothes. Finally was told that there was tons of rush on the spin basket and that it could not be repaired. It was apparently a defect and should not be rusting. I reached out to Samsung as did the repairman only to find out that they would not warranty the washing machine. As much as we paid for the washer, it should not have had this rust issue in less than 5 years. There are only 2 of us so it didn't get a ton of use. Very disappointed. I won't purchase another Samsung, that's for sure.

Dear Samsung,
You can shove this piece of $#*! TV up your $#*!! Spend all this money on a TV for it to not work after some many years. This TV is in perfect working condition. But yet you $#*! $#*! company feels the need to make it to where a person can't update their apps after so long. I will never buy another samsung tv from this point on.

P.S. I truly hope you choke on a $#*!ing remote battery after seeing this you ignorant $#*!s.

I called Samsung yesterday. Dec 25th, 2022 on Christmas day. I was not expecting anyone to answer the phone but I thought I could find out when they would reopen. I bought their 75" 8K TV and I could not figure out how to adjust the picture quality. To my surprise someone did answer. After the support person was given permission by me and entered a special code the support person had direct access to my TV. In a few minutes everything was fixed. I cannot believe Samsung has such incredible service.

Samsung is Garbage and their customer service is a joke - I bought a washer and dryer and have had to have them repaired a number of times in less than 2 year, the most recent issue being a huge safety concern. The Dryer will not turn off unless you open the door or flip the breaker off. We put the dryer on and went out only to find it still running 6 hours later, The unit runs it's cycle and the Keypad goes off but the dryer keeps running. I called Samsung and they basically blew me off. Now I have decide it it's worth throwing good money after bad or push the piece of crap to the curb and by a new one ---- last piece of advice run don't walk away from any samsung product

Bought this tv 4 years ago. At year 2 I had to replace the screen 2x for faulty pixels. And now a random verticals shadow goes across the tv and it's conveniently out of warranty. Not sure why a tv with this many known problems is now all of a sudden my problem just because it's out of warranty. Make it right Samsung. Petty service.

I have a Samsung Smart TV that is under warranty and the remote was not working.I took it into Best But the first time and the associate gave me a charger to charge the solar remote. Did not work.Went back and after an hour of talking to your rep on the phone who was of no help at all, said they could not authorize a new remote, the manager of the dept. was totally frustrated with her and hung up. It was so ridiculous that it took over an hour with no solution. Finally after talking to his supervisor, the associate told me to come back with the remote and they would swap it out. What a ridiculous waste of time this was. I will never buy another Samsung product!

We own MANY Samsung products and have just been wickedly ripped off by this company! Never ever buy Samsung electronics, they don't stand behind them. We own a curve hd tv, washer dryer, tablets etc. They don't even stand behind their 30 day warranties, instead make a lot of excuses! Stay away from them.

I purchased an A71 16 months ago and it has already broken. It's unacceptable to me that a $600 phone should only last 16 months. I'm not opposed to paying for repairs, but I don't think I should have to pay for them to diagnose why their 16 month old phone does not work. My next phone will be from another manufacturer and I plan on avoiding Samsung for all other purchases.

I am trying to get a screen repaired on a Note 5 for trade in. I have been given the runaround, cancelled tickets, miss information, wrong transfers, wrong information and still can't get my phone that I paid for fixed with proof of activation and proof of purchase. If I had any idea this was so awful I would never bought a Samsung and will probably never buy another one in the future unfortunately.

I had used Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and I was really happy with my phone. Two years later it shut down suddenly and never turned on! Guess Samsung makes phones with an expiration date just like foods! Don't buy Samsung phones. Save your money!

Buy at risk. When the company upgrades they no longer support the original sale. It's your fault and then you get to talk to the company in another country who does not care what you spent you can pay for tech or not. No thanks! There's no care. I can't even find a creditable phone number that won't numb my concern like in the country I paid money for. Samsung never even paid attention to. Oooh maybe!! Don't contact me and make me feel little or delete my post. Thanks Samsung. I used to like you.

Quality Issues:
I purchased a Samsung smartphone, and within a few weeks, the screen started showing discolouration and dead pixels.
The build quality of my Samsung TV is quite poor. The plastic feels cheap and fragile.
Customer Service:
I contacted Samsung's customer support about a technical issue, and their response was slow and unhelpful.
The representatives on the call were rude and didn't seem knowledgeable about the products.
Software Problems:
The software updates for my Samsung tablet have caused numerous glitches and crashes.
My Samsung smart home devices often disconnect from the app, and the troubleshooting information is insufficient.

Samsung Customer Service is horrid! I ordered a Galaxy watch as a Christmas gift and, taking Samsung's suggestion, ordered the charger to go with it. Christmas day, it was opened and we discovered the charger was included! 13 days after that, I contacted Samsung to return the charger and was told that they would not accept it as it was delivered to me earlier than the 15 day return window. They will make NO exceptions for Christmas presents! While they are polite, they are immutable! They say "we value our customers" but prove themselves liars through their actions. We are building a new home and had planned on using Samsung appliances and products but, given their service and attitudes, we will NOT buy Samsung products in the future. Thank heavens I'm only out the cost of an unneeded charger rather than major purchases!

Samsung Care+ can be handy if you are planning to use it a few times. Unfortunately, I did not get a chance to use it. The phone was bought on April 6,2021. Low stock. It was shipped on June 4. About 6 months ago (December 2022) the screen got broken. I forgot that there was a coverage. On May 23 I called Samsung Care+ and asked if they can check if it's still covered. They said it's from the day it's purchased. So for future idiots like me please call Samsung Care+ the day when you receive your device in mail and tell them to honor what they suppose to cover (i.e. 2 years). I get it if the issue was a 3rd party company. But Samsung delayed shipment, Samsung sold me coverage. Both the same company. So they delay shipment and they waste your insurance. Probably deliberately.

OK, paid up for this device. Amazingly, it comes with everything you need, EXCEPT, the wall plug to charge it with. Tried all of my USB compatible wall plugs, nothing worked. Samsung requires you to use THEIR wall plug adapter, which they are out of!
They first referred me to a Samsung adapter that is not even produced yet, then they referred me to one, over 3 weeks ago, that is on back order! They do not respond to service requests at all. How can this company sell a product, you can't use? Then ignore you as well? Avoid at all costs!

Ordered a Samsung washer and dryer, only based on the fact that Home Depot said they were available. They came three weeks later than expected, used the washer once, and now it doesn't work. Appliance repairman said the motherboard is fried, and he needs to order the part which could take a long time. Would definitely not recommend this company, because they have said that only if the motherboard does not work, would they consider sending me a new machine, and that will take months

I bought a brand new refrigerator from Samsung. We left for the weekend and when we got water all over the place, Ruined my flooring. Need to replace 200 sf of flooring that's discontinued. I had it for 13 months. Bought extended warranty and been waiting for parts for a month now. What a joke. I own everything samsung from phone, TV, dishwasher microwave, you name it. Never will I buy a samsung product again.

Tip for consumers:
If you own a Samsung fridge, turn off the water valve if you're going away.
