“Good customer service”

Heather H.
12/27/21

So Ive had 2 watches from Samsung in the past 2.5 years or so. My first one stopped working properly in about 8 or 9 months so it was still under warranty. They were really good about trying to fix it and with keeping communication with me however I don't feel like the smart watches are really good. They replaced my first with a check and I purchased another one, next generation. So far not bad but I feel like Samsung's watches and phones tend to "die" rather quickly. Customer service is A+ though.

“Be aware that Samsung UK charges a 20% fee on returned devices—essentially a "handling fee"”

K B.
10/29/24

Important Notice: Samsung UK's Unfair Return Policy! Attention, everyone: Be aware that Samsung UK charges a 20% fee on returned devices—essentially a "handling fee" that, in many cases, costs hundreds of pounds. In my experience, they charged me a shocking £160 just for unboxing and returning a device. This is not only outrageous but could also be in violation of consumer rights in the UK. Samsung seems unwilling to comply with fair return practices, which is why I'm sharing this to warn others. Consider this carefully before purchasing from them. Let's hold companies accountable for their treatment of customers!

About 3 weeks ago my Samsung Galaxy A51 started to have 3 problems all related to sound. Unable to hear callers unless speaker phone is activated, no sound for streaming videos, and no google voice. I have been bounced around like a ping pong ball between Spectrum Mobile, Samsung Customer Service, Samsung Tech Support and the repair shop I was sent to by Samsung Tech Support. It is now 3 weeks later and the problem is unresolved. The phone is under warranty and is only 3 months old. They are doing everything possible to avoid replacing or repairing the phone. Do not buy anything from Samsung. They do not stand behind their products! I left Spectrum Mobile (no help at all!), went back to Verizon and am using my old MOTO Z phone. Otherwise I would still be without a phone. Samsung still has not repaired my phone and doesn't seem to care. Again, based on my own personal experience I highly recommend DO NOT BUY ANY SAMSUNG PRODUCTS! Do your research. 1.8 stars? That's terrible! I have paid for this phone with my own hard earned money and once again been ripped of by a big irresponsible unscrupulous corporation.

Tip for consumers:
Samsung has not provided a solution for my A51 cell phone even though it is under warranty.

We've bought the SAMSUNG CURVE TV worth rupees 1 Lakh on 29th April 2015 which had a warranty of 1 year. And exactly after one year that is on 2nd May 2016 it stopped working. We made a complaint to the Samsung service centre and they took 15 days to know the problem. They've first told the back panel has to be replaced and checked. And on 18th day he came back for checking the product and came to know that it was totally fine but the front panel has to be replaced which is worth around 35 thousand rupees.

Trying to return a stupid phone and nobody gives a damn about it. Either transferring the call, ghosting you, disconnecting and most importantly all the agents are giving different answers, not generating the shipping label, make you drive back and forth to Samsung store to get the same answer WE CAN'T GENERATE RETURN SHIPPING LABEL, RETURN THE PHONE IN STORE and the store says they don't do that. Have been waiting for the return label and no luck! Escalated the issue and been told to contact in 24 hours. This company is a total scam.

My Samsung Galaxy S4 is way better than the iPhone 5. If you don't believe it, try it. The screen is bigger/better, and it's thinner and faster. Apple is in trouble.

I bought a new Samsung Galaxy 9+ a couple of months ago, over $900. I paid. I have been buying Samsung products for many years, including the galaxy since it was created. The phone I upgraded to, was mailed to me. It did not work properly from day one. I finally spoke to someone from my phone company that explained it was the phone and it was on Samsung, Samsung does not have a center close by so I would have to mail my phone in and have no phone, while they explore their error. I do not have time for that inconvenience. I can as always use my insurance and pay the $250 deductible but why would I do that when a company like apple would like to have my thousands of dollars for their products instead. I will never deal with a company that expects me to go out of my way like this for their mistakes. So I basically donated my money to you this time but I promise this, this is small compared to the money I have spent over the years and the money I would have been spending. Thank you for the lesson learned.

Imagine, life is well, your phone is working. Then all the sudden your phone deleted EVERYTHING on it. A factory reset, that I didn't autherize... Even better when I tryed to figure it out from calling customer support they told me that if all 3 side buttons are hit at the same time for 10 seconds, it factory resets! ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! THATS A FEATURE?!

I bought a bundle with Washer, Dryer and Jetbot Mop and received discount on each item.

The washer and dryer had a 15 day return policy. But the Jetbot mop didn't arrive until 20 days later. I didn't like the mop. So, I wanted to return it. But I was told I needed to return all three items or else I would only be refunded the amount less the discounts on washer, dryer and jetbot. The home appliance team indicated I couldn't return the items because they were past 15 days. So, basically, the only way to return the Jetbot mop was get refunded $105 for an item I paid $233 for.

After talking to over 5 Customer service (home appliance and small electronics/e-commerce) reps on the phone for over an hour trying to explain this, a supervisor indicated they would be able to refund me the whole amount. So, I returned the mop. But I ended up getting only $105 back.

Since then, I have spent literally hours on the phone and chatting with customer service reps and being passed around back and forth between department and still no resolution has been met.

Samsung needs to get this issue resolved. This seems like a bad return policy. If two items are ordered and one arrives very late, then the first item cannot be returned. It should be that the return date window should start after the delivery of the last item that is delivered, not the first item.

Note: The issue with dryer delivery, installation and repair is another story. Having been a Samsung loyal customer for over 20 years, I am starting to rethink the quality and customer service of Samsung.

Samsung is the most dubious, fraudulent business organization I ever had to deal with. I do not write reviews on products however it may be but this is the height of it. They are so selfish, insincere, no empathy but just want to ripe you off with their fake products. I bought a Samsung Tv 65 inches 8series with warranty ' got spoilt within the 1yr warranty which is of no physical fault of mine but samsung vehemently refused repairing it saying that its not on warranty. Now tell me what is included in warranty? All they go about is just dumping their fake products to unsuspecting customers. Pls FORGET SAMSUNG PRODUCTS. RUN!. CUSTOMER PROTECTIVE AGENCY PLS TAKE NOTE AND REVIEW ALL THEIR PRODUCTS BEFORE IT GETS TO THE STORES. THE ARE NO GOOD! There is no zero. I'm rating them minus zero.

Probably the worst customer service experience I have ever had. I have been a Samsung customer for over 10 years and while I generally like their products their customer service is terrible. Their representatives lie to get you off the phone. I ordered their top of the line Z3 in Thomas Payne addition and had trouble getting the order to go through so called customer service. They told me the order did not go through so I would have to re-order. I checked my credit card company and it showed a pending charge for the first order so I called them back they assured me that the charge would not go through and that the original order had not been placed. I was also told that the charges would not be processed until the phone shipped so I had mothing to worry about. Today I got charged for $3074 added to two credit cards. When I called Samsung they basically told me it was my fault because I ordered two phones and I couldn't cancel the order even though it had not been shipped and would have to refuse delivery in order to cancel. I then asked for a supervisor and have now been on the phone on hold for an hour and two minutes. Samsung does not value their customers and I guess the good news is that they treat the customers who are willing to spend $3000 with them the same crappy way that they do those that buy their low end phones. Time to change my brand loyalty to someone else.

I bought a smart tv less than a year ago. The remote control on button began working intermittently. Sometimes having to press no exaggeration 20 times to get the tv to turn on. Called Samsung. They took information, saw the product was registered and told me to expect the remote in 507 business days. After 10 days, he tv on the entire time in case the on button stopped working entirely, I call and was told they needed additional information. I had to call the seller to get it. Sent it to Samsung and got a call-they have all the need, expect the replacement remote 5-7 business days. You guessed, no remote. About 10 days later I get a call from Canada with the message they can not fulfill my request until... I CALLED THE SELLER (abt.com in business since 1936/they gave me a great price on the tv and as you can see their customer service is top notch) WHO immediately agreed to send the remote AND DID. SAMSUNG couldn't replace the remote in 8 weeks----recall tv has to be on continuously shortening its lifespan and using electricity --- All for a $5 cost to them for the remote and postage they wasted several hours of my time and their employees time and lost a customer for life. It is the reason the microwave I purchased recently was not a Samsung. Samsung = pitiful the corp
Should be ashamed of itself, bad business decision and judging from the other reviews the company's modus operandi!

When I purchased a Samsung Galaxy Note 10 in November I purchased Samsung Care too - it cost $249.

From the website:
Samsung Care+ is a device swap program that you can purchase for your new eligible Samsung device. With a two year subscription, you can swap your eligible device twice within the 2 year period. Just pay the swap fee ($129) for each swap request and we'll swap it.

As my phone broke I needed to use this service, but when they swapped it, they swapped it for a dud.

They say the only thing I can do is take it into a service centre which means I will not have a phone for three days. That's three days I won't have access to my public transport passes, my banking, or contact with my family - I will also not be contactable by my employer (particularly relevant as we're not able to go into the office due to COVID19) or my daughter's daycare if she is ill or injured.

I feel like they're making me jump through hoops in hopes they won't have to fix the problem. I'm particularly upset that I'm being penalised for their screw up.

Realistically I'm going to have to put up with this problem because I cannot go without a phone for three days as annoying as the problems with the phone are. They win, but as a loyal Samsung user for nine years I will not be purchasing another one of their phones.

XE500c13-K02US Chromebook right out of the box is slower than my fiver year old Acer Chromebook. It made it 45 days and went black screen. Samsung's customer support site is a joke, and trying to talk to someone besides a computer is a PTA. This will be the last Samsung product I ever buy, and I have used their TV's, and cell phones in the past, but the last cell phone is a joke also.

I have had several phones in the past none of them have been from Samsung I will never go back to Samsung after I purchase to Samsung Galaxy S20FE I literally had it for 3 months in an Otterbox case The defender seriesI placed it on the ground nearly 6" away it landed flat on its back and it got a spider Web crack on the front of the phone I called them up to complain I spoke to higher management He raised his voice And was being discriminatory towards me as a white man I explained I just want you to tell me why you cannot compensate the damage he explained several times the same nonsense that the warranty doesn't cover physical Damages as if I have the time to read the extremely detailed warranty to learn this no damage covered bs. I proceeded to request why they would not cover damage and He refused to give me a reason he also explained nothing about what is covered when I asked Hi don't suggest anybody buys their phone unless you like getting cracks on your phone super easily

This is my second review. DO NOT PURCHASE A SAMSUNG PHONE ONLINE. IF YOU HAVE ISSUES WITH THE PHONE, THEY WILL BS YOU THE ENTIRE TIME. MY PHONE STOP WORKING OVER A MONTH AGO. I HAD A CHOICE OF GETTING A REFUND OR A REPLACEMENT PHONE. I CHOSE A REFUND. THEY SENT ME A REPLACEMENT PHONE INSTEAD OF THE REFUND. I RETURNED THE REPLACEMENT PHONE AND NOW THEY ARE TELLIMG ME IT COULD TAKE UP TO 18 DAYS TO GET MY REFUND. I REPEAT DO NOT PURCHASE A PHONE ONLINE FROM SAMSUNG. BUY IT LOCALLY SO THAT YOU DON'T GET THE RUN AROUND AND BS FROM BEING TRANSFERED OVER AND OVER AGAIN, WHILE STILL NOT GETTING YOUR ISSUE RESOLVED. SAMSUNG IS THE WORST BUSINESS I'VE HAD TO DEAL WITH ONLINE.

I purchased an tablet for my 5 year old online in November. I received notification that my order was confirmed and and that I should wait for confirmation of shipping. A week later and i had not received anything no phone call, no email, nothing so I emailed them their "Customer Service". The first representative told me that they apologized for the wait but that I should be receiving notification within the next few days. A week later I emailed again this time wanting more information again
I was told that on their end everything looked good and I should a notification of shipment soon. I asked them numerous times will I receive this item before Christmas and all they would say is Yes, Yes, Yes. Well on December 15 I received an email stating due to an error in price on their end my ordered has been canceled and they gave me a $10.00 E certificate for a future purchase. As if this wasn't bad enough my son will not receive his tablet and I will not be refunded before Christmas. This company is a JOKE. I would have had a much better and more professional experience with Target.com.

I read about this and I didn't believe it. Now it happened to me, so I will give you my honest review.
I traded my Samsung S9 phone for 40 dollars. Removed it from the Beetle case it has been from day one, charged it, factory defaulted the phone, made sure it was wrapped nicely and added the case to the box I sent. Received a message that "upon inspection, have adjusted your Trade-in Value to $16.00".
Shame on you Samsung! For the 24 dollars difference that you want, you lost me as a future customer for good.
I bought a 512 GB Samsung Ultra, the top watch, own a Samsung TV and a vacuum among many other devices. This was the last time I have purchased anything that has Samsung name on it, for the 24 dollars that you stealing from my pocket. I will not waste my time to refuse it but will take the time to distribute on social media, and tell everyone I know that Samsung is not what I knew it used to be. Shame on you Samsung! The phone I traded and you took pictures of it, was in like new condition. Florentin Salceanu.

I was so excited to purchase or brand new Samsung washer and dryer combo. The sleek design fit in perfect with our newly built home. I have just owned the products for 2 years when I started having water leaking from my washer. I called Samsung to have the problem looked at and they sent a repair man. The repair man advised that they could not find an issue but would replace the drain as that might help. 2 months later my drain was replaced and still had water leaking. E mailed back again and they sent a repair man. He advised that I am having water leaking from using to much soap. I use tide pods that are pre measured and only one pod per load. They covered the repair man and the parts. No one had ever personally reached out from Samsung only emails or a text if I was satisfied. I had extensive damage to my floors walls and baseboards. They then e mailed and advised that I have no warranty left and they will not correct the problem. I am stuck with an expensive hunk of metal, damage and no solution. Weird they paid for the "repairs" but now I don't have warranty. The amount of money I also spent on laundry service driving to and from town to have clean clothes and all while trying to run a family of 6. You would be better off to buy anything but this product. Buyer beware service is horrible and I now have to get a new washer and could have used the money spent on laundry service to put towards a new machine not to mention the 2500 in repairs to my hardwood and drywall.

Bought a note 10+ for ATT carrier, had a problem. ATT couldn't help, even though I was playing installment plan to them. Was so excited to have my new phone. Samsung doesn't replace, expects you to send it in to repair, past experience means about 3 weeks. I decided to return, took 2 weeks till finally they refunded my funds, but I was told that they whould clear my ATT Account in 72 hours, now its 15 to 21 days and I can't buy my new phone from ATT till Samsung clears my installment plan. This service totally stucks. Never buying from Samsung store again. I lost $50 for Whitestone glass screen protector. Have a new case and fast charger and NO PHONE due to nobody being able to clear my ATT account, and ATT can't do it.
