I've been wanting to order from Sanrio for the longest but was hesitant because of all the negative reviews. I decided to finally give it a go and my order was shipped the same exact day it was placed! It only took a few days for it to be delivered which is a huge plus. Also, I wanted to mention that I had a good experience with their customer service. I emailed them a question regarding my order and got a response within 10 mins. Definitely plan on ordering from them some more in the near future!
I did not receive my cinnamon roll, backpack, the little little cinnamon backpack for my granddaughter. I did not receive a tracking number for this package. I received something by email stating that it was delivered. It was not delivered. I still don't have it I cannot get in contact with the company.
Fast and efficient delivery. And not sure if it was a glitch in their system or them just feeling generous but I got one of my orders for free. And hey, who am I to say know to saving $40!
Feel bad for these older more negative complaints but glad to see they've improved since then!
I cannot even begin to express how happy shopping sanrio online has made me. Before I moved, I would always do my HK & friends shopping at a tangible store, but since the move (8 years ago)there isn't a store within 50 miles of me. This led me to do online shopping at Sanrio.com when I am not back in my hometown visiting. Everything I have ever ordered is perfect, genuine and on time, although I must say that the shipping fee is only worth it if ordering plenty of items.
I ordered the Hello Kitty Polaroid 600 camera from sanrio's site, but I became extremely anxious after seeing the horrible reviews they have. However, my experience was great. They shipped my item within 3 days, and customer service responded very quickly. I contacted them for something on a Sunday, and they responded the next day in the early morning. Lastly, they packaged my product nicely with a lot of bubblewrap. The product itself works amazingly as well. Overall a pleasant experience.
Okay so I bough 4 items from the Sanrio store since I truly love their products and characters. However, after reading some reviews here I was getting really worried as to how the following days would proceed with my order.
So I ended up contacting them, and they returned the email later that day telling me that my package was already handed over to be shipped.
The in the following days I actually got my order, it arrived extremely fast! All the products I paid for where inside and they seem of good quality(although it was too expensive anyways).
But I really don't know if I just got lucky, since my experience was extremely good and I am happy I got what I paid for.
There may be cute stuff on the site but you can find it in brick and mortar stores. I made the mistake of ordering from this site. First, I wanted to amend my order immediately after placing it. I used the site link to email customer service. Two weeks later, still no answer. Second, the package made it from Calif to Penna within 40 miles of my house in 4 days via Fedex. After that, it dropped off the face of the earth. No tracking updates are available. I called customer service- no answer- what a surprise. $60 down the drain. Merry Christmas.
Every time I order from Sanrio online it's the same BS, they lose your order and you have to follow up constantly to get anything shipped (Yet they still charge an arm and leg for shipping).
I ordered some xmas presents in NOVEMBER, it's Dec 16 and still nothing has shipped. I sent them an e-mail and got a response a few days later saying my order will ship in 9 BUSINESS days (so January?). I sent another e-mail and got an auto response saying the Sanrio mailbox is full.
How is this possible? A major company charging insane prices for cheap garbage and they can't even process orders. Don't waste your time on Sanrio.com, they bring shame to all Japanese.
They sent a fake product the first time but I had already ordered a second product and they intercepted it and had it returned to them but still charged my card. I sent an inquiry email they said they would respond within a day still haven't heard. Should have researched better before ordering when there is no phone number the bells should have started ringing. It's hard to believe there are people out there that are blatantly dishonest.
In November I placed an order and it was rough. I was told that they were in transition and I decided to place a large order in January to see how they are doing. Well, my order went through well and no issue! I called customer service and a wonderful woman helped me out. Seriously, I don't know what happened at the end of last year, but man, their customer service and delivery has greatly improved!
I ordered from sanrio.com on Sept 27. On October 6, I still had not receive any email regarding if my ordered was shipped, so I sent email to their customer service, no response for three days. I sent another email to them and finally received a response on October 10 stated that they would check for me. No information for 7 days so I emailed them again and finally they sent my ordered.
Received auto email stated 4 items sent but finally only received 3 items, so I had to email them again to ask on October 20. Received response on October 22 stated that the item was out of stock and would give me refund. Now it's Nov 11 now and I still have not received my refund yet. I just sent them an email again. Hopefully I can get my refund soon.
Moreover, they don't even have a phone number for customer service, it's ridiculous!
Definitely will not order from them again!
Sanrio gave me the absolute worst customer service I have ever received. They did not ship my order, and they did not refund me the cost even though they didn't ship. I would never recommend anybody use them directly to purchase Sanrio products. And I most certainly will never use them in the future. I decided to purchase my products elsewhere.
I stopped ordering anything from Sanrio.com after being a loyal customers for many years. Their service used to be okay but has gone downhill since at least a year ago. It took a long time before the items were shipped and their customer service is terrible. They either did not reply or if they did reply, it took quite some time. They also canceled my some of my items when I was just asking when they are going to send them. It's like they don't care about my business at all. Since they don't care, I deleted all my information on my account, unsubscribed their emails and never purchased a single item from them ever since.
I ordered a book bag for a friend around December 16th 2019. I emailed the company January 4th about the status. They said they were backed up and that it could take an additional 2 to 3 weeks to get the package. They then said if I wanted a refund I could get it then before they shipped it. I told them I might as well wait. Right after I went to the reviews. I saw they were mostly negative. I emailed them just a few minutes later telling them I wanted a refund instead. After that they said my package was delivered December 23rd and for me to check my household. They are so dang crooked and full of crap. So it has been over two months since it was ordered. I never got the package. They lied.
So, customer service told me that I could return the second botched delivery in exchange for a refund to the "original form of payment on file", which would be my debit card or paypal. After a couple weeks of waiting, I received 96 cents, as opposed to the $12.30 that I should have gotten. The rest was given to me in the form of another sanrio gift card, I'm assuming (I can't access my sanrio account anymore). This is because the first time they refunded me, they said that they couldn't give me a cash refund and instead gave me a gift card. Looks like this multibillion dollar company can't afford to give me my $12 back! They must really need it!
I first ordered from them about a year ago at this point. After waiting a few months, my order still hadn't arrived, so I contacted customer service. I described my issue and gave them my order number. They said that they were experiencing shipping delays because they had recently moved warehouses, so it would probably be a few more weeks before my item shipped out. That sucked, it was meant to be a Christmas present and Christmas had already passed. But whatever, that's beyond their control. I wait another couple months before contacting them again, letting them know that my item had yet to arrive. I provided my order number again. They told me that it would be a few weeks before the item would ship because they were dealing with COVID-related restrictions. Fine. I wait a couple more months before contacting them again. A few days pass before I get a response. They tell me that (according to their records) my order arrived in December, a couple weeks after I ordered it. I ‘lol'ed and asked for a refund. They only give store credit. Fine. I order another item (a cushion) from them, a little less than a year after ordering my original item. My order totaled about $13. About a week later, I receive a package worth about $3. Instead of sending me what I ordered, they sent me tape. The shipping slip inside says that the package contains the cushion I ordered. I wish. I emailed customer service, they didn't respond for a week. I emailed them again, they sent a copy/paste message saying that emailing them again would cause my place in the queue to change. Miss Hello Kitty, I am poor and want to give my mom a Christmas present. Please stop scamming me :(

Do not use this site, it seems like it’s up to a flip of a coin whether you will actually receive the product you ordered. Check sites like depop or poshmark for second hand Sanrio stuff instead, I wish I’d done that in the first place.

I had exactly the same experience as another user -- I placed a Black Friday order to get the free HK blanket with the promotional code. No blanket, no response to two emails, one voicemail, and a separate message via Sanrio's online form. Feels like a scam.
Reading all the reviews I was on the fence for months whether to hit the pay button. I decided to process half the order and see what to expect. I was not sure this was a trusted site.
Order was processed and shipped the next day. I received it within 4 days.
Thank goodness I didn't have a bad experience. I will purchase the rest.
The delivery itself came in less than a week and I was pretty surprised. However one of the item boxes I ordered came damaged. I also ordered a longuefly purse and it's obviously used, they couldn't even restuff it or make it appear new. It also has a dirty spot that I can't remove and some of the paint of the product is coming off. It's very obvious someone opened this and returned it. Really disappointed since I spent $60 dollars on a damaged item. At that price I expect it to be in perfect condition.

I buy my item on January 20th and then 4 days later they sent me another email regarding my item that has been shipped. I recieved it on the mail today ( January 28). Very fast and location of the delivery is Atlanta, Georgia. I did 5-7business days shipping and recieved it a couple days later. Thank you!
Ordered three different orders back in Nov and Dec of 2019 and still only received one package. They say they would credit my account for all the orders and send the orders to me ASAP but still no credit on my credit card and the other two orders never arrived. I have emailed and the last time I emailed I sensed anger so I will never order from them again. I live in Oklahoma and ordered Sanrio items from Japan and received all my orders from different people in less than a month and I got thank you notes and a extra gift and or Sanrio candy for ordering items from these individual sellers. I bought items from them before Sanrio ever placed these items on their site. From now on I will order from Japan and not Sanrio in USA.
My boyfriend ordered from Sanrio.com on Nov 22,2019 which never came---but the free pin managed to show up, in Jan 2020. He contacted customer service several times via email (because also in 2019, they have no customer service phone number... Surprise!) In December and was told it was shipped but no tracking or order updates were available or provided. So, since they took his money, he is currently disputing the charge with the bank, and I highly recommend to all who haven't received your money back or your orders to do the same. Another reviewer pointed out that this is fraud, and I agree. Also, file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, it looks like customer service is actually responding to people there. I have been a huge Sanrio fan my whole life and am extremely disappointed in the way their website is handling paying customers with such disregard especially during the holiday season, and I have told them so via email to customer service today and referenced the reviews here. Get your money back people!
