Seeking Alpha

As a newbie investor I didn't know what to invest in and needed advice. Seeking alpha was the first place I found that gave"professional" advice. After 1 year from taking their advice I'm still down on all the stocks they highly recommended. Ideleted their app and stopped listening. Turns out I make better gut decisions than those professionals ever could. Oh they also freaked me out so much because they follow trends worse than anyone. If a stock is going down a little, no matter its potential the seeking alpha site is flooded with doomsday type stocks telling you how you're gonna lose everything. This results in you selling at a loss almost Everytime. Awful awful site. Stay away at all costs.

I manage my own retirement portfolio and take several publications to assist my research int what business (stocks) to purchase. I find that Seeking Alpha (SA) is the most valuable research tool that I subscribe too. The information available keeps me from the mistakes of "following the crowd. Here is what I really appreciate: 1. SA has the best financial information available in a format that is easy to research and understand. 2. I am a value investor and really appreciate the information on dividends to be concise, current, and easy to research. 3. I really like the organization and ease of access of commentary on companies that I own or follow for possible future investment and the notifications that related to the portfolios / equities I have on SA. 4. Spencer Osborne's bio tech picks make a disaster look like an uptick. Nothing but 60 70 80 pct losses and more. Then when you call him out on it the weirdo slanders you prints your name address and accuses you of trying to contact his wife and minor children.If thats not all the creep emails me and threatens me with a harassment if I do not stop commenting on his disasters of stock picks. Seeking Alpha posts his comments on me for a time then takes them down never putting up my response I will continue to voice my opinion on this joke of a blogger(1 star on tipranks)and I am thinking about getting a lawyer and going after this sicko for slander

SeekingAlpha is my most used single information source on individual stocks. I learn as much from the comments as I do from the contributors. They are often people with deep experience of the sectors, industries and companies whose stocks they comment on.

They said nvda was overvalued when it was under $200, look what happen now. Now they removed all related articles. This joker still keep sending hundreds emails to me.

Seeking Alpha Premium has been the best subscription based trading information site I have used to date. The system is excellent, the news is always informative and it has helped me tremendously with my trading. I highly recommend it

I started subscribing to Seeking Alpha to gain access to the transcript of presentations that many companies provide for their quarterly results. I then started using it to read articles about various companies that I invest in or consider investing in. It gives me another perspective.

Excellent tools to research, keep updated and get valious highlights related to latest news as Wall Street Breakfast. Great briefs of earnings news and tools to qualify and compare stocks before taking an investment decision, among other great and complete information

Comments are constantly deleted if it doesn't agree with the viewpoint of the author. Specifically comments towards Elliot wave trader Avi Gilburt. Even when being critiqued in comments on others articles by differents authors. I'm not referring to my own comments, but those of other users respectfully pointing out discrepancies in his work.

This definitely diminishes the value of seeking alpha as some of the best insights are discussed in the comments.

Definitely won't support this agenda when time comes to renew my subscription.

A few months ago I took out a 14 day free trial subscription. I cancelled it on the 9th day. I have been billed for the last two months. When I attempted to call I was on hold for 30 minutes before giving up and leaving a message. I have not heard back from them. I have not had this sort of problem with any other investment subscription.

Any income investor would benefit from the High Dividend Opportunities service, the level of research and recommendations are unmatched in my opinion. Rida Morwa and his team are top notch and provide continuous market commentary as well as income based recommendations. The Model Portfolio Spreadsheet provides all the details needed to get started on a path to becoming an income investor.

I have been using seeking alpha for the past couple years or so and using it properly it has become a functional tool for stock picks and macro perspectives. I would recommend this for beginners and professionals alike.

The information is wonderful. I find that if I get information from outside sources, I can combine it with my own goals and situation. So I need that flow of suggestions, then there are good opportunities. I am a scientist, not an accountant, so Seeking Alpha gives me the focus on finance and accounting. Then the discussions give more food for thought.

I like the presentation of many authors who may not agree, and comments that give more points of view. I value the plentiful information on ETFs and closed-end funds. Some CEFs combine security + income, or even security + growth + income. Seeking Alpha has raised my knowledge about these indirect investments and I'm increasing my positions in a couple favorites..

I used to publish articles regularly on Seeking Alpha. I became very dissatisfied when I saw that they would allow people to post illegal and deceptive research in response to my articles. When I responded and told readers that the posts were illegal, Seeking Alpha put me on moderation. Then I looked and saw that my positive articles were not being put on third party sites such as Yahoo! While SA was putting all the short articles about this stock on these third party sites. When I complained to SA, they just stonewalled me. I believe the editors or owners of the site take positions in the stocks and then favor those authors who express a viewpoint consistent with SA's position in the stock.

Seeking Alpha Premium allows me to stay on top of my investments. Whether I'm doing the research myself, or I'm receiving emails, I am able to stay on top of all the news concerning my portfolio. It has been an excellent addition to assist in my investments.
