Senior Helpers of Stafford

Working with senior helpers was the worst experience of my life. The aid assigned didn't show up the first day or the 4 days afterwards. For the 8 weeks needs we went thur 5 aids. I found feces on my toilet, urine on the floor., dirty sheets placed back on the bed, sink full of dishes and trash climbing the wall. Eliminate the stress from your life they told me NOT true and I bought it hook line and sinker. Quoted one price but 2 days later charged double. I lost 5 days of work to come home to wet/dirty pants. To top it off I was cleaning while the aid watched me. You can't make this stuff up. It was just horrible.

I still haven't gotten paid since June 2 2024.I kept track of my hours.Havent got reimbursed for using my car for clients appointments which is 18 miles. Complaint made to John the hiring manager and I called cooperate and complained. They reported that the checks would be late. Isn't that against the law.?It I don't hear from Seniors Helpers by tomorrow I going down to the Labor Board.

My mother used this company for over a year. On June 6,2022, mom had a bad fall with a Senior Helper who could not prevent falls because she had a medical port in her chest. Five weeks later on July 18, mom fell a second time with the same Helper who was subsequently removed from the case. A geriatric nurse manager told me I was "taking over" mom's care, so I had to leave. My mom begged me to stay. She was in horrific pain and cried. My mom died alone within five hours after I left. If you are forced to use SH, ask the Helpers to leave their phones at home, turn off the tv, and stay awake when they are being paid. No idea how to run a business for aged care and help the elderly, only out for money to spend on luxury items for themselves.

Had to click a star. ZERO STARS! We had scheduled round the clock care. One person showed up the first day, the person who took over was shown around by the first caregiver then went to her car "to get something" then never came back. (Possibly casing the house?) The next shift did not come at all and when we called they made up an excuse and guess what, still no coverage. Do not use them! Unreliable and no communication.

Working for them is no walk in the park. They don't care for their employees. They seem to only care what the employees can do for them. Employees are poorly paid and just thrown to the fire with no or very little direction. Do not be fooled, office personnel (most not all) are just not nice people and hard to communicate with. They act more like your parent then they do a colleague, unprofessional.

Only the Northland office is what I'm speaking of.the owner operator is rude hangs up on clients and does not go by state guidelines when it comes to managing. That office honestly does not care as long as the owner can make money I'd all that matter they do help their caregivers but only to their benefits. The owner/operator is not truthful and is bullish to clients and caregivers the office is no help if you want to complain about anything and they take on clients that need 24 hr care that they can't provide the caregivers because they do not pay enough the highest they pay is 15$ hr and barely any of them make that. They cover up situation that should be addressed

I had a good experience working with a Senior Helpers caregiver for my uncle. He has dementia and they were good with him. Senior Helpers wasn't cheap but all in all, it was better than other home care agencies. The company is a franchise though so I'm not sure if the quality of care at other locations is as good.

I think this company should send the right assistance to the client. I feel just as the client to be comfortable with the caregiver the caregiver need to be comfortable with the client. These caregivers are being sent out to do a job they accept before being informed of what condition the client is in. Lots of cases with them client not receiving care they need because caregiver have no training for the skills needed.

Helpers provided were very competent, on time and knowledgable. Officed personal were available to take care of all details of my needs. Supervisors checked progress.regularly while I was receiving care.

On 10/06/20 Senior Helpers worker, *, showed up without mask on. Told seniors he forgot it. Seniors had to give * a disposable mask. Contacted Senior Helpers caseworker *. * stated worker removed mask due to "physical exertion." Complete lies. * did not bring a mask to scheduled visit. Contacted owner * couldn't care less. All * wants is your money. * could not provide this writer with Elder Abuse Hotline phone number when asked. Hopefully my parents don't have Covid-19 now. DO NOT USE this company!

I had a very bad experience with Senior Helpers. I would not recommend them to anyone. They are the worst! Then they charged me for services I never received and they refused to refund my money. They are a scam! STAY AWAY FROM SENIOR HELPERS!
