Working on a class action against SEPHORA.

I've ordered many things from Sephora they always came fairly quickly and in great condition. Until I decided to purchase a Clarisonic from them. The item came in HORRIBLE condition it was USED the box was DIRTY. I sent them an email regarding their situation and their only response was, of course, me wasting my time to go return the item in store or mail it to them. You order online for convenience not to deal with all this hassle and bs.

Sephora is pretty much the best place to get department store makeup - they have a TON of reviews, so you can really get a feel for what's good and what's not, and a fantastic return policy, so you can test out whatever you want.

First time ordering Sephora online... I made an order on Dec 9,2015. It said it was processing. When i got an email asking my to review my product (Dec15), I realized I didn't even receive tracking information yet. When i looked at my order status, it said it was not completed, and nobody bothered to inform me. When i phoned customer service, the lady was quite rude, and just said the orders been cancelled, and it's not her problem and she would not help me.
It used my VIB points and i didn't even get credit back for the cancelled order.
And i even missing out on some promotions.
Note: I've been in the service and hospitality industry for over ten years, and i've never had a problem with online shopping.

While I do love some of the brands that are available on Sephora's website and little freebies, I hate having to deal with their customer service. I placed an order during festival period and my transaction sat pending in my account for almost a week. I had only received one e-mail letting me know they'd received my order. When I called a week later, I was told due to the holidays that it was going to take longer than usual to push my order through. I was told I couldn't pick my order up from the store and that I could not cancel my request either. I would have easily just canceled it and went to the store to purchase everything instead. The CSR I spoke to was dry and flatly said there was nothing that could be done about my order. Sephora's customer service sucks.

I have more like the beautician work. It is really a complected work. The workers are very talented to make a person beauty. The Sephora is one of the beautician product company. It have provide the some of the product for the customers. The product are made with out side effects. The products are Highly qualifies for the customers.

I placed an order online and forgot I had an old address on my account. It didn't ask if it was where I wanted to send it or change it. When I got my email I noticed the old address for the delivery destination. I immediately contacted their customer service to see what my options were. The order had not been processed yet but he still said he couldn't change the address he could only cancel the order. I asked how it would work on the refund seeing as I used a $100 redemption code and he said it would be credited to my account withing 24hrs. 2 days later I call to see why it hasn't been credited to my account. This rep tells me that I've lost the promotion by cancelling the order and there is nothing he can do. Moral of the story don't trust Sephora apparently they're perfectly fine lying and stealing from you.

Customer service are not professional, nice or have good presentation anymore. I encourage to buy online rather than go to the store.

Ridiculously poor customer service via phone. "Ashley" put me on hold for a supervisor who answered, provided his name all too quickly, and then hung up. As my order has not been processed in near a week, I called to cancel, to which I was told there is no guarantee an order can be cancelled. That being saod, I'm putting a stop on the payment and contacting the BBB. Apparently Sephora thinks it's okay to take your money very prompetly, but to not send product or return your funds. I was going to accept the cancelation and purchase my local store, however I won't even do that now. I'll be sticking with Ultra or the direct manufacturer from now on. Worthless, cheating company... Sephora.
Tip for consumers:
Stay FAR away.

Ordered perfume as a Christmas gift. Paid $3 for "gift wrapping". Items showed up in a plain brown box. Nothing else! Sephora Customer Service (?) said they could NOT refund the cost.

I enjoy Sephora's products. But was a full size box necessary to ship ONE eyebrow pencil? A padded envelope would have been a more reasonable and inexpensive choice.

I went into a store and I was greeted. I was looking for something for my grandma because it was her birthday, however I was on the phone and I wasn't paying attention to my surroundings. One of the associates kept coming over to me as if she thought I was going to steal something. I picked up an item and put it back before I reminded myself I was there to buy someone a gift. After she seen me without the item I guess she thought I was trying to steal it because she kept coming over to asking did I still want it. I couldn't find the gift my grandma wanted so I ended up buying the product I wanted and once I left she stared me down and didn't even say goodbye or anything like that. I just felt like she was being biased and racist

Sephora has great products and I love shopping in the store but I was a little disappointed when I placed an order online. Actually, I placed six separate orders totaling to approximately $500 on November 10th and 11th. I was hoping to receive my stuff by the 17th since I bought a birthday gift for a friend but even though it said that I was going to receive my stuff within 2 to 3 business days it still says pending and it hasnt shipped out yet. I tried calling customer service yesterday and today but there is nothing they can do for me. Also, you are allowed to have three samples with each order. I always look forward to that but since they are out of stock on many samples Im only receiving one per order. :(

I ordered a bunch of stuff as there was a promotion that you could get a sample bag with a $45 purchase. I increased my order to $45 to get the sample bag. There were four bags to choose from, one was marked "Out of stock". I choose another bag which was NOT marked out of stock. I also choose carefully my three samples that come with each order. Sephora also indicated they have 3 day standard shipping. I ordered on December 1. My order was pending for about 5 days. On about the 3rd day the promotional sample was marked out of stock. The next day it was deleted from my order. On December 8th, I received my order - with no sample bag and 3 samples which were NOT the samples that I chose and were items that I will never use. I will never order from Sephora online again.

I kind of love Sephora, even though I shouldn't. I love even just reading the reviews for products and can get sucked into them so quickly. I was convinced to buy a Shu Uemura eyelash curler through Sephora and couldn't be more satisfied with the experience and the curler!

I had delivery issues and sent a message via the companies contact us site. Got nothing.
Tried the live chat and still no help just templated email links on articles sent to me and advised there is no complaints team, no grievance policy or procedure and no way of escalating concerns. Just keep getting told my concern would be passed to an internal team.
What international company does not have a complaints department, policy, or procedure!
The products might be good, but the customer service is appalling.

Everytime I visit Sephora I have not had the best experiance. For one the only location near me is in the mall. Im not upset with that fact but alot of people walk in to the same location. I dress casual and I have had the most awful looks given by employees. I have asked for help on one occasion and this lady was not happy to help. She let out a very loud scoff and rolled her eyes. She handed me a foundation that clearly was too dark for my skin tone. Did i mention this lady had too dark of foundation on herself and could clearly see a line of foundation on her jaw line. I told hee that because of an upcoming event I would lile to look my best but not break the bank she looked me up and down and said that should work. Then proceeded to walk away. That was the very last time I walked into Sephora. I have called the manager and let them know but he said it would be resolved right away.

I am just sensitive for sunscreen. Their top sunscreen is expensive, but great.
Try some samples, they work well. It has ultra high SPF, and does not feel like you are wearing sunscreen at all.

Good quality, great service, amazing shopping, highly recommended for beauty purchases. You can also join their membership and receive free samples for your birthday as a gift.

My daughter turned me onto sephora. They have brands that I use and love and you get points for shopping. Cosmetics can be expensive but the quality makes a difference. Recommend this site and store.

Their items are too pricey and low quality. Too much hyped products. Moreover they do not care about the customers, despite writing to them several times.

I'm 58 and this is the worst shopping experience I've ever had. Only one kind person there. Most standing in front doing nothing. One extremely rude redhead. Trust me don't go there.
Tip for consumers:
Never go there. Ulta down the street

Have loved Sephora since its first store opened in NYC. It's like a makeup playground--you can try and sample pretty much anything they sell. They ask if you need help, but don't typically hover over you--they let you shop in peace.
That said, these days I strongly prefer the website.
I know that items are being picked and packed--no one's opened them.
Free shipping if you spend $50, which is pretty easy to do. Or, combine an order with a friend to hit that and you're golden.
The site has sales, deals and specials that you can't or won't find in the store.
Plus, you get free sample (3 per order that you pick from about 9 that you're offered and you have a chance to buy a particular item they feature at a significant discount.
The in-store killer is the approach to samples. If you get someone helpful, they can sample anything for you - including perfume and they're generously sized. Otherwise, forget it. They seem stingy and out of sorts when asked for samples, even when you're obviously buying something. Sorry, but I don't buy $30 lip glosses without sampling.
Not perfect, but fairly close. And, recommended.

Sephora is the makeup lovers dream. However when they decided to launch their subscription boxes called Play they failed. It was first tested in a few select cities. It invited everyone else interested in subscribing to sign up. Many received the message that no open spots were available but we would be put on a waiting list. Well many received emails saying that a spot was open we could now sign up. I added a notification thru my email provider that sent my phone and alert as soon as any Sephora emails arrived. The email arrived at 12:53 I followed the link and reached the sign up page and entered my email as instructed I hit the enter key at 12:54. Immediately received the same message I had months ago when I tried to sign up. All the spots were full however I would be notified when one was available. Now if I go back to the email there is a count down timer with the days/hours/minutes/seconds that the invite is valid. Sephora sent no other emails telling us that the spots were full. From day 1 this whole campaign and their intro into the world of subscription boxes failed miserably.
Im shocked that upper management does not feel the need to do any type of damage control. Instead they are using this to create exclusivity. There thinking is that this how to create and keep the Play box at the top of the most wanted must have list. In fact it's the complete opposite customers don't like gimmicks. Either run the subscription box the fair way or get out of the game. They should ask Birchbox or even ipsy how to properly operate a subscription boxes service.
