Sephora (for an in store visit) is good in general but don't bother with online. It's such a joke. Numerous problems with checking out online, customer service is non existent or basically a bunch of idiots they hired on a dare or something. Just do yourselves a favor and go in person or if you do not live near a Sephora, try your hand at Ulta or wait until you visit the big city and just do a run in the actual free standing store... seriously. Online is pretty much a nightmare with this and we cannot expound as to how many people we know were met w/ missed orders, out of stock items, order fulfillment miss haps and lackluster customer service. Do yourselves a favor and shop in store. Seriously.

So i ordered Fenty foundation at White Oak Sephora. Only to have the cashier put the wrong address in the order! I am beyond livid! Mind you i placed the order in Va and it was supposed to be shipped to Florida where i reside now! I got the run arounds and was told to call around 4 numbers and no one could help me. So my order went to someone else. Maybe the makeup that was caked on her face made her make that huge mistake. You gals need to stop focusing on trying to be so cute and focus more on correctly doing your job! So i guess happy birthday to whom ever recieved my order. Never will i order anything from that location again! $#*! heads!

I am always shopping online from it. The Beauty product which are recommended by this are highly standard and suit for any type of skin. They gives the product on discounted price and shipping is fast. Safe shipping and Not ever broken material i got from it. Trustable and valuable brand.

$50 free shipping is always nice! Shipping time is average. Most of their Makeup is good quality and they have a decent variety. A little more affordable than some of the other nice makeup places. I wish they had a little more color variety, but that's just me!

I purchase so much stuff from them because they have great products and super fast shipping. Every time I place an order I always receive it within 1-2 days. Also, who doesn't love FREE SAMPLES?! I sure do. There have been quite a few products that I got free samples on and have since purchased because they are so amazing.

Their customer service is HORRIBLE! I returned items Oct 2009. It is now April 2010 and I still have not received my refund! Every time I call I'm passed around and then told that they don't know what I'm talking about. I'm out products and my money!

I have purchased directly from the store, and from the website. I always receive my items in a reasonable time, and they are always exactly as I ordered. I feel like the few times I have needed help while in the store, there was always somebody able to help with my questions. I absolutely love this store.

The product and staff are both limited. I went in looking for a creme blush and the staff had no idea what I was talking about. The variety seems to be for the teen to about 30 age group. Prices are ridiculously high.

Tried to order something in time for a birthday to be delivered to my work.
Buried in their terms and conditions somewhere is information that they don't deliver to business addresses.
That'd be fine if there was some kind of notification they sent you indicating a problem or didn't let you enter the address in the first place. But no! No notification, no indication of this problem in the order status. No help or compensation from the support team.
Absolultely hopeless.

Really nothing bad to say. Tons of promo codes, deals, incentives, and great product range. Their return policy is great and I have yet to have a bad experience! This is one of my favorite stores so I really wanted to review them and give them credit.

I've always been extremely pleased every time I've ordered from Sephora! They carry fantastic products, & offer very nice samples with purchase, with a pretty good variety of samples to choose from. I'm a VIB member as well, which is lovely to earn points towards a free product with each purchase you make. I like Sephora so much that I signed up for the monthly Play! Box you can have sent to you for $10/month. I've really enjoyed it every month & am impressed with the samples & sizes of products I get for only $10! WELL WORTH IT!

The worst experience I ever had online.
I received only part of my order. (fulfillment made a mistake)
So, I called & they promised to ship the rest, but then they cancelled the shipment without contacting me & didn't refund the money.
If I didn't call again, they would simply kept my money!
But thats not all. After I talked to the customer service to get my money or my order - they deactivated my account!
Still waiting for partial refund!

The online shopping is amazing! But shopping at the store inside jc penny is phenomenal! The SIJCP in wichita Falls tx at the Sikes center mall was the best experience I've ever had! The manager lady, Breanne, was so knowledgeable and calm cool and collective when the store was so busy. She lead her team as if she had been doing it for her whole life! The crap she endured from the rude customers was something I've never seen in a leader before. That woman deserves a raise! Not to mention she's sexy as hell!

I love Sephora so much! Expecially that they give you samples each order and if you spent a certain amount you can get a travel size select item! The only thing I don't like is how much shipping is. But otherwise I love Sephora I look at it almost every day, I have a problem

I returned ONE item to Sephora the SAME day I received it.
I was never notified that my returned item had been received.
I was never emailed that my refund was being processed.
After chatting with a rep, I was told my refund would take 4-6 WEEKS to receive.
Nowhere on their website does it state refunds will take a ridiculously long time to process and issue.
I paid promptly and complied with all their merchandise return rules. My refund should be handled in the same way.
That was my first purchase on Sephora.com and it will be my last.
Tip for consumers:
Be aware, they don't sell the freshest cosmetics. They put Items on sale for a reason and that's because they're old or close to expiring. Also, their prices are not all that great so do some research and shop around for best value and price.

I would not recommend ordering online through Sephora. I woke up at 3am on Black Friday to ensure the items I had my heart set on would be in stock. I didn't receive my order and when I researched the tracking information, it said it was delivered to my house. It was not delivered, my family was home all day and even in the front yard during the alleged delivery time. I called to get resolution, and was concerned about my out of stock items. They offered to refund me for the items that were out of stock. Over half of my order was out of stock.
As you can imagine this did not make me feel valued as a customer, since I didn't wake up at 3 o'clock in the morning to merely not be charged for items I didn't receive. Also, they will take up to one week to credit your money back. My beauty insider points immediately reflected the return, however my bank account did not. Sephora needs a lesson from Zappos on over promising and under delivering.

I have only shopped at Sephora inside my local Penney's store. I DEEPLY THANK Sitejabber members for telling me to never shop Sephora online. I always rely on reviews, and I do a lot of online shopping, but I will steer clear of online Sephora. The customer service at the store is great, although sometimes a little pushy, recommending a whole lot more of products you didn't think you needed than when you first came in. However, they have many "testers" you can use so that you can see how the products look on you. This is especially helpful for lipsticks. (They have some really great store brand lipsticks.) Nothing is worse than buying a lipstick that's taped shut or from an online picture, and having it look absolutely HORRIBLE on you! I know, believe me, I KNOW! So, if you stick firm to your shopping list, and if you test the products on yourself first, you should be pretty happy. Nothing is cheap, but they do give samples, and the staff is knowledgable.

I often purchase most of my makeup at Sephora so I would recommend to other people always. However, the one downside is that mostly all products there are wayyyyyy expensive especially compared to drug stores. However, this is all high-end makeup so the prices are (sometimes) understandable

I went online and tried to order a gift card from Canada for a U.S. relative. When I called the woman I spoke to told me I could do this and it would take my card. First of all, it pisses me off that Canadians cannot get gift cards. If you are trying to get our money, don't treat us like second class citizens. Second of all, I asked the woman to stay online with me while I went through the process which she refused to do, and then I went through the process of the order and guess what? Sorry, no Canadian credit cards. I am sick of U.S. companies that do not tell us up front what we can an cannot do. I am sick of U.S. companies that do not give us the same service they give U.S. citizens.

The sephora collection..i dont care for the quality and formula of the makeup..the single eyeshadows falls out..the lipsticks are messy and dont stay put..and the foundations are horrible and blending is impossible
