First time using a freight forwarder to ship a package from US to Australia. The website was relatively easy to use, I could track my package and make payment with no fuss as the website was user friendly. They were very quick to ship out my package after I made payment for shipping on the same day it arrived. Was a bit hesitant at first due to reviews I read online but in my experience, they have been excellent and am glad to go with them over the other competitors. Rates were also good as I expected double of what I had to pay in the end.

I've used many international shipping companies in my time and this has to be the worst I have dealt with. The website is terrible and confusing to use and the hidden costs are ridiculous they will force your parcel storage time to laps and keep your parcel

My 2 packages were lost, one in newyork one in cairo, for more than TWO months. I had to re-order my items so ended up paying twice and wasting my time for more than 2 months not receiving any proper feedback from them. Eventually my items arrived after 3 months of delay and costing me DOUBLE.
They did not compensate me a penny, the worst online service ever!

there is no compensation if they lose or delay your packages, DONT SHIP WITH THEM

Shipping an accessory, a holster, is not against the law. Shipping a part for a weapon it is. Paid a lot to get it shipped back to the Merchant and Shipito just dint care whatsoever. Every-time I use Shipito services nowadays, either they increase their shipping rates by over 147%, double their admin fees or lose my packages. This time, they blocked me a parcel from being shipped. A total disrespect for their customer, which are abroad and relying on them to get those little packages sent out through a reliable and trustworthy company. When I first signed up with Shipito for some years now, they were not like that. You´d feel welcome and cared. Administration has changed since, so as the people and the service quality

I have used this service since 2013 and while it started fine it has steadily declined to the point where I just cancelled my subscription. Customer service tickets are not answered. Every action is a new charge, and it all adds up when you pay twice for things. I'm guessing they get a cut of every freight charge because the boxes are always bigger than they need to be - at my expense.
Look for a better alternative.

Please trust me, and not the 5* reviews. When its going good its not too bad. I have been dealing with this company for a number of years with not too much hassle, never fantastic but acceptable. They tend to lock you in by making the registration process rather long. Then suddenly they make a mistake on a package and will not respond to support tickets or emails to management. Its like they have so many problems that they cannot deal with all the complaints. It seems they have staff issues and theft issues. And you feel at their mercy because they holding your valuable package. PLEASE Trust me stay away and look for another company to offer the same service, their flashy website is a front to shoddy expensive service.

Invest your money in a company who will advise you correctly. Not to go into detail. If you must use them, be clear and ask heaps of questions about when will items be delivered to you, the details about insurance. Be sure to keep a record of these conversation and take screen shots. At the end of the day, I didn't get the impression that my interests as a customer was valued. The best they could do was offer me a free month... because dealing with them has been a dream?

I get why so many people hate Shipito, but I guess you get what you pay for. My experience was always flawless with them. Every time I needed customer support, they replied in under a minute and always had a solution to my issues.

The shipping itself can get quite expensive, specially if you live on a country that is famous for overcharging. But that's not their fault.

Absolutely amazing service. You will not find anything like this anywhere else. So much information provided, such good pictures and such an amazing price. It's actually as close to receiving the parcels to your house as you will ever get without having to use your actual address. I have used their service for over $30,000 worth of goods over 6 months and it has been nothing but amazing.

Tip for consumers:
Buy for a year and save big!
The more you ship the bigger the rewards. I currently get 5 Free consolidations and 5% off DHL shipping just for being a loyal customer.

Guys, what are you talking about? I ve been using this company for nearly 3 years with no problem at all. I can use their chat line whenever and they are always there with answers. I have consolidated more than 80 packages in total with no trouble and my instructions to them never fall through- they stick to them completely. 100% recommended

"You will fist need to get rid of that package in the account to get refund" - thats what the customer support told me. But they refuse to ship my letter.

Stay away from Shipito.com - shipito is a scam website.

I have been using shipito for a very long time. I'm in Australia so there's a big time difference! Whenever a package use to arrive it would be sent out the same day, once only it was sent next day as i filled out form late. This last time it has been sitting in warehouse for 5 days, they don't respond to messages & on phone calls they just lie. I can tell it's changed owners, i will never use again. Don't use this company, there are plenty others!

You have to provide all sorts of ID for verification which is a super big pain especially if you don't live where you want your parcel sent to. Maybe once I've finished jumping through all these hoops it might be good service. I think that paypal payments don't have these issues.

I think from reading all of the below reviews a lot of people do not follow the process steps required by Shipito to have your package received and delivered.

For me I followed their process, my package arrived and within 1 day it was sent out - now I should add that I made a mistake of paying for my shipping via a paypal account that had been originally registered by my father, so the payee was not my name and Shipito placed my account on security hold - this is completely understandable as they have a business and clients to protect.

I spoke to a really informative and friendly customer service representative who stepped me through the process to fix my mistake and within 12 hours it was complete and my package sent.

Personally I have nothing but positive things to say about them and am not certain why everyone else has so many issues - which again, I suspect is because they do not follow the outlined process.

Be Aware! This company steals your stuff!
I am in Canada. I shipped my online shopping, a brand name cashmere sweater to their Austria branch. They marked my item as shipped on Nov 2nd, gave me a tracking number of Austria post, which is not traceable from first day till now, after I paid around $80 USD shipping cost.
I reported many times, opened a lot tickets to report the tracking number they provided is not traceable on Austria post site. Always one guy named Martin replied me to wait and then ignored me, once Martin even lied to me said my parcel was in USA now, I asked him how did he know, he ignored me again. No photos, no evidence provided.
Now 50 days passed and nobody knows where my item is. It disappeared forever. The Martin guy and Austria branch guys stole my stuff and then charged me shipping cost. I bet you guys don't have the lucky to spend that dirty money you stole, that is a curse.

Perfect from start to finish. Multiple special requests made, all completed timely and accurately. One of them was the consolidation of three packages which was done very very efficiently. Consolidation request was submitted on Sunday and I had my package in Switzerland by Wednesday. Couldnt be happier.

I used Shipito once - never again! My package was lost and they have the most unhelpful customer support team I've had the misfortune to come across. It took them forever to reply to my complaint and even then it was just a copy-pasted excuse.

Nowadays I use Viabox instead. Their customer service team actually manage to be friendly & helpful & will get back to you within 12 hours.

Much to my disbelief, Shipitto managed to completely destroy a shipment of commercial/industrial greenhouse supplies, with absolutely terrible customer service and insane high fees

Definitely do not use this company or this service

I highly doubt all positive reviews for Shipito are real.
Seems like their own workers are giving positive reviews.
This company has bunch of thieves working. They will keep your valuable things, PERIOD!

I have 3 packages requested to ship out on 5 June (domestic package), and every time I check back to the website it always shows "Mailout has been shipped from our warehouse and is en route to you". When I paid for the shipping fees, they stated it takes 2-4 days to arrives, and now I have waited for a week. I can suspect they are actually planning to steal my packages as they know there are valuable items inside and I did not purchase the insurance.

As others have said, this used to be a great company with good customer service. Someone else bought it and now customer service is non existent. They lost 4 of my packages in 4 weeks and don't seem to care. I no longer trust them and will stop using them,

They regularly blindside you with extra fees after package consolidations, and you'll end up paying way more than what was agreed upon. There is a promise that after consolidating they'll let you know if the cost is over 10%, but they'll decide they needed a few extra hours and forced me to pay much more, for a few medium boxes and simple items. One one shipment they could end up charging you 3-4 forms of service fees ranging from 12$-$100s.

Tip for consumers:
I regret using them and losing the $100s more I've had to pay. wish I'd stuck to my previous go-to (whom I'll be going back to for future shipments).

I've been using Shipito for about 3 years to send various packages to Australia and have never had a problem. Have always had a good experience, and always recommend them to friends. Most times I have used the consolidation option and they have always done a good job at putting it all together and taking photos.

I don't know what this verification process is people are complaining about... I have never needed to verify anything on that website and I can still get full functionality (the only catch is I have a $1187. 52 monthly spending limit) Who needs more than that anyway?

The warehouse I use is Hawthorne, California.

Trying to send a package for almost 2 weeks with a repeating problem that continue to appear after several representatives said it has been fixed. Tried to contact a customer service manager and the replay was generic and inaccurate, I've answered right away and I'm still waiting for a replay. (right now 2 days)
Suggested several solutions without any replay.
I'm purchasing online since 2007 and this is the worst experience I had so far

After a long ongoing issue (see previous review), Shipito decided to accept responsibility for throwing my outer box away and reimbursed the amount. So credit where credit is due. It took awhile and persistence but Shipito did come good, Still, thank you Shipito but you need to put in place a quick process to resolve disputes.

Similar to many others here who have commented on the number of documents to pass their test in order for them to ship your shopping to you. I also agree with some who suggest they deliberately make sure you do not pass their test hence they auction your goods. This is really cruel and heartless of them.

Documents to prove your identity that have passed many government departments of the world have failed Shipito's test.

Drivers License, Passport, Identity Cards with photos are not deemed as suitable identities of 2 types? I wonder what is to them?
