What a fabulous service. My furniture was collected on time and delivered in immaculate condition. Slight mix up and delivery day had to change but communicated well. I will definitely be using this service again. Highly recommended.

I was selling items on Gumtree. A potential buyer contacted me and wanted to use Shiply. They explained how it worked. They paid Shiply. Shiply paid me and arranged with me collection of items to delver to my buyer. But link sent for me to be paid my money wanted all my Bank card details including security number. Link then supposedly went to my Bank logging on page wanted me to put all my logging on details! I did not do this. When I queried with them they said they needed to verify who I was but I had no way of verifying who they were. Have reported and will not be putting my phone number on Gumtree again

I was selling items on Gumtree. A potential buyer contacted me and wanted to use Shiply. They explained how it worked. They paid Shiply. Shiply paid me and arranged with me collection of items to delver to my buyer. But link sent for me to be paid my money wanted all my Bank card details including security number. Stolen! The transport 'provider' did steel our material. We did contact Shiply but they take no responsibility and not even any liability. On the website of Shiply I can NOT write my experience... No wonder why all the reviews on Shiply are good...

I wanted to send a parcel and have it collected as I am disabled and unable to leave the house. 5 emails later after I told them it seems they only deliver letters, they asked me for the dimensions of the parcel again. I also asked them to confirm I won't be charged an ongoing subscription which they completely refused to answer. I ended up blocking them and hoping for the best in terms of not being scammed. The rope cost £50 and an honest seller on Ebay agreed to refund me upon return.

Accurate details of the services they offer on their website from the start.

None. I just hope I find a way to get a reputable company to collect my parcel so I can get my £50 back.

I ordered a removal from Gary83 on Shiply's platform. My furniture was stolen and Shiply's have accepted no responsibility for the theft, not even refunding the deposit that the site claims, let alone the value of my stolen property or the full delivery that I had paid in advance. Unlike equivalent marketplace platforms, they offer absolutely NO compensation or support if your property is stolen- they also clearly don't vet their suppliers so it's very easy to be scammed- the address for the supplier that they sent me after I complained was registered to a care home. Gary83 had 100s of apparently successful deliveries so its impossible to tell genuine from fake suppliers, so DO NOT USE SHIPLY- you receive no help from them at all if the companies on their site are scammers.

Tip for consumers:
That there is no compensation from Shiply if you are defrauded by one of the suppliers on their site

Not trustworthy at all, i shipped my car using shiply.com. The company i deal was another agent too unfortunately, they said it needs 10-12 day's it took a month and it was scratched from both sides and from the back. After i reported with shiply for the delay before i got it they just replied back we are just agent we can't do anything try to contact the company again.

This site is full of middle man cockroaches. If the name sounds white but you talk to them and the sound Middle Eastern or with an accent. You about to be taken for. They will quote you a cheap price. Get a driver and then call you back to tell you driver witll not do it for price your agree on but more. They harass you and I had one threatened me. If I wanted to too I would I can trace the number back. Go there and handle business but no I finally settled on one and the price was exactly what they quoted but the driver was so quick to get the $. I didn't get a chance to see the car but my daughter didn't know there was scratches on the bumper. I called and they were like insurance will take care of it. Nope I called u til they blocked me. $#*! these $#*! roaches next time I will just drive the damn car myself. It's not worth using them unless you know them. Don't use this site.

Cant talk to transporter unless you pay 25 percent upfront. Millenial scammers.stay away. Would love 5 minutes alone in a room witb this little prick of am owner!

I ordered a courier to deliver a freezer in December 2023. The courier arrived to collect the freezer and the balance of their fee in cash, but the freezer was never delivered. I tried contacting the courier contractor multiple times to no avail. Shiply also tried unsuccessfully to get in touch with them.

I had taken out Shiply's insurance and launched a process to recover the cost of the stolen item. Shiply said they were looking into it but I have not heard anything from them despite contacting many times by email. Their phone number is always busy and suspect not an active line, as unlike a company of this size it rings straight to an engaged tone rather than having any sort of waiting system. It is a total scam. Would not recommend at all. It is really surprising they seem to have been endorsed by so many national publications.

Given this is now an insurance scam, on top of the theft of my undelivered item, I will be raising official complaints with the relevant authorities.

Really disappointing and a pain to have to deal with this mess.

One of the worst experience as the delivery time and date was first really long and frustrating to establish and much later than what was agreed. They said to give a delivery slot within 3-4 days but I could only get it after 6days. The delivery was for today 21/03, which I asked to change as it is my birthday. They said they can't change the date to Friday or the weekend and I said I will come to the office only for them to receive the item if that's the only slot as I cannot do it next week.

The day before I confirmed with them the given delivery time and date.(see photo attached)

I came to the office to receive the item today only to get a text message at the time when delivery was supposed to be, that the delivery date is now changed to 23march Saturday (note that when I asked this date it wasn't given to me!)

The contact number of the particular company working for shiply (Gary83) is not working, you can never reach them by phone but don't think the shiply customer service contact number is working instead. The shiply customer service number advertised is also put there to mislead people into thinking there is a contact number *******2454) as this is a legal requirement. No, shiply doesn't have a phone service you can contact either. You can only raise a ticket.

There is no communication and everything is very frustrating, and utterly unprofessional

Please avoid unless you have no job or family to attend and have all the time in the world to be ready when they give you a time and date and then casually change it expecting you to be ready to receive the item

If I could give zero stars, I would, liars, theives, bullies, that may or may not be directly connected with them since they use 3rd party. I'm not saying that this is a bad company altogether, but my family's experience was very unprofessional. We wound up having to put things in storage at the last minute. We were not going to be bamboozled by those people. When things go wrong one party wants to blame the other. Whatever! To sum it all up. I say this. RUN RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN LIKE THE GINGERBREAD MAN!

I've offered up three different motorcycle collection and delivery jobs based on a recommendation from a trusted contact within my inner circle.

I've had so many times wasters contact me through this platform who haven't bothered to read the brief and job requirements, which are crystal clear. As a result, my time has been wasted and I've lost money, not to mention damage my professional reputation.

I'll be reporting my findings far and wide, naming and shaming those organisations who've mislead me and my clients.

I haven't even had the service yet, I am so upset, I have contacted shiply to sort it as I have had no proper contact from the courier booked to carry out a house move. Bad enough that you're locked out until a deposit is made but now that's done, nothing. Seem very cowboy ish to me

Do not recommend, maybe for a quick job happening tomorrow

Unbelievable... the response to my request for a quote was aggressive, emotional, unprofessional and offensive. I was investigating shipping options for an inflatable water toy I want to sell on eBay. The first Shiply list included a ship price of $87, the quote came in at $791. When I tried to reply to ask more questions, I had to name a price to reply with so I put $90. The guy was so offended he wrote me a horrible reply and then changed his quote to $54,662. Avoid doing business with these people.

This business charges you to connect you with individuals. All the check is that they have a valid drivers license and their address and phone number. Internet scammers are using them as a way to scam money from people trying to ship goods. If I were Shipley I would at least check that they are a valid company and have insurance. 20 minutes after I did my research I found out that there was a warrant out for their arrest they were not a trucking company everything was made up shiply says it's my responsibility to file charges against them and it Shipley is not responsible for any loss. If someone is moving tens of thousands or hundreds of thousands of dollars of goods this is not a company you want anything to do with. They will not give out the shippers information besides a phone number and address that are disconnected and do not exist. I'm out about $1000 upfront and Shipley says good luck.

Tip for consumers:
Hire local and connections do not hire these Internet companies. They are looking for hits and fees

They don't vet the contractor they refer to you and unfortunately I got one of their crooks. When I discussed those referrals they insisted that the issue was between me and them even though the recommend and ‘Stand Behind' them. They are still referring this crook even though there is a pending class action against him. Don't use Shipley,!

I needed my car transported from Melbourne to Gold Coast. Made a booking more than 1 month ago and paid deposit. Now have been waiting on the 3 dates given for pick up. Never heard back. Have been trying to ring them and also sent email but to date no response. Have not even refunded my deposit yet. Dont know what to do.
Complete idiots.

The concept of the site is excellent. In reality you have very poor business people running the actual deliveries. Shiply also are not straight forward in showing you how to resolve issues and once an issue arises it's very hard to even complain let alone resolve the problem. My items were not on time and also arrived damaged. The seller has sent me pictures of the wheels before they were sent. So I'm assured they were in decent condition. However no care was taken in transit hence my anger. Waited a long time for damaged goods to arrive. End result is... just bend over and take it if something has gone wrong as your willing to take a risk on internet sites you just googled to get a job done

Courier tore my new sofa, scratched the arms... and then damaged my property significantly by denting one wall, taking plaster off the wall and ceiling, scratching one door and breaking another door. Complete cowboys! Shipley will not cover you as they claim to be a matchmaking service only. Courier is only covered whilst in transit - so while items are inside the van. Courier was completely unprofessional, Shiply offer no resolution so I'm stuck paying for damage to my item and property. Avoid at all costs or this will cost you dearly!

AWFUL

Great service from quote to collection to delivery... This is here where everything stops and we enter a downhill slope.

Chairs arrived damaged, driver won't even listen to the receiver, courier won't communicate with me, shiply.com refuse to take any responsibility. Shiply could't care less.
Courier has provided false contact details
Was advised by shiply to contact the police, though it's not a criminal matter. Furthermore the courier is in Eastern Europe. Courier claims to have £120.000 insurance er shipment. If you ask Shiply, they can't verify anything. I suspect shiply do not check any details whatsoever.

I can only advise NOT to use shiply.com

Edited as a response to shiply.com... I can assure you that you haven't vetted the drivers completely. (Or don't do it on a continued basis) Otherwise you would realise that the contact details of the driver are inaccurate. FACT

Tried contacting via phone for 3 days over the week. First I would spend ages on hold and then get cut off after being told customer support was currently unavailable. Then the second two days that was the only message I received. So you have to keep contacting them via email which is really efficient (not) and not very helpful when having problems with a rude and aggressive driver.

Courier changed the agreed days (booked and deposit paid) for the job to days which were entirely unsuitable. No attempt to fit in with my needs and wishes so I asked Shiply to refund my deposit. This was done promptly, but only into my newly created Shiply account to use on their services in the future with a 2 year limit. It is not like I am needing to move furniture as a normal householder very often-so I have lost the money!
I have never had this experience with any other business or shop, so until their attitude to refunds change, I cannot recommend them

Bad start as the first delivery company turned out to be dodgy. However Shipley were communicative and tried to help me sort this once I contacted them. Luckily my delivery was relisted and I soon got a quote from an excellent company for not much more than the dodgy one. I would warn people to do as much research as possible though as the site may be exploited by unscrupulous delivery companies, and there is perhaps not as rigorous vetting as there might be. They said that the dodgy company was under investigation but they appear to still be trading.

The company you contract with is most likely NOT the company doing the actual transport. Be prepared to speak with multiple "middle-men" (in my case 3), as you work through the process. Each contributing to the cost to the process. For example, my original bid was $852, which I accepted. The first $172 of that price I paid immediately to Shiply. The next $80 was paid (by me) to the "logistics" company and ultimately the actual transport company received the remaining $600. So, had I done a little more research up front, I could have saved $252 on the haul by going directly to the transporter. This was my first experience shipping a vehicle from out-of -state so lesson learned. Ultimately my vehicle was delivered relatively quickly so overall I am satisfied with the outcome.

I took a chance on a newly listed van company but they turned out to be fraudulent.
If you're going to book with Shiply, please use a company that has 500+ reviews to make sure they are a genuine company.
I have been very happy with the companies that have come through. It's just the one but it needs to be addressed when someone new joins the site. A simple google search of the driver's name showed he had been jailed for van hire fraud.
