I shipped a car from England to Germany. The transport company Transportpackages owned by a Mr Thomas Davies took a deposit of 250 gbp. A day before pickup got a message that the he had problems with his driver. After that no response to meesages emails or phone calls. He claims on the feedback on Shiply to. Have refunded me after my bad review.

As far as I can see this fraudster is still trading, and Shiply take no responsibility. The derails that they forwarded me were false. It appears they do little to no vetting.

In short there are some good transport companies on Shiply but when they connect you up with a fraudster they wash there hands.

Very easy process I always use this website for moving anything. I chose to use Simply the Best for moving a double bed and I couldn't fault them. Great communication, speedy and efficient delivery and great comms. I have used Shiply many times now and have never been disappointed.

I was very nervous using a new removal service, Very happy. The driver was friendly, helpful & professional. It was a bit of a struggle, considering the space he had to maneuver, but we made it in the end. I will definitely consider using them again.

Brothers 80 couldn't be bothered to contact me within 9 days. I lost my item as a result. In my opinion if this happens the courier should be given negative feedback but if i then ask for my deposit back this cancels the request to deliver and doesn't allow you to give feedback as to why the request has been canceled. This needs changing so that if a courier lets people down and you have to refund their deposit feedback can be left as to why this has happened.

I used Shiply to find a courier to move a dining table which the courier then destroyed in transit.

When trying to raise this for compensation the courier company then stopped responding.

THE REASON FOR THE 1 STAR:

Shiply then did not check the company details they have on record, so when trying to raise this further the address and name, shiply has on file was incorrect, phone number disconnected plus even the name of the company was out of date. Making chasing for compensation impossible.

Not only is this illegal, but apparently is a common issue on Shiply. Customer services have been useless avoid at all costs!

The Shipley service worked for me. I got a delivery arranged with someone who was professional and reliable. That said the process was time consuming because of the secrecy that surrounds it. Depsite Shipley insisting service users verify the providers themselves, they make it almost impossible to do this before a financial committment is made (to Shipley). There is no scope for a telephone converstaion, service providers appear to have faked or different business names for Shipley work and arrangments before the financial committment is made have to be made on the basis of email exchange, which can take hours (days) instead of minutes.
A potentially great service, spoiled only because of the Shipley protectionism surrounding their fee. That said, if you are happy to pay out money and chance it, or have a simple job then it can work well. The Shipley telephone support service is v. poor and basically tells you they are an on-line business.

I used Shipley to have my Audi delivered to my door, from Macclesfield to Hailsham, East Sussex. Reasonable price and excellent service provided by DanMorgan. Would definitely recommend and use them again.

Easy to use system and it is down to the individual which contractor you use. Couldn't beat the service. The contractor we chose was not the cheapest but we had constant communication and the product arrived in great condition.

When you post a quote on Shiply, they don't pass all the information on to the courier. I had a problem where I accepted a quote and then the courier couldn't accommodate the required transport date. It wasn't his fault - Shiply hadn't passed the information on

By this point I had already paid Shiply a "deposit" which isn't actually a deposit, it's their commission. They're trying to avoid refunding it instead fobbing me off with a credit

Anyway. Be careful. Lots of stories of couriers not collecting items and Shiply refusing to get involved. Shiply do NO vetting of couriers - many of whom are probably uninsured.

Depends on who is doing the job the 2 people that went 4o the pick up place would not use then again, but the 2 people that delivered would use then any time with no problems very careful and professional.

Very quick and easy to use online. Within a couple of minutes I had quotes from two transporters. I accepted the quote I was sent and the company couldn't have been more helpful. Communication was brilliant and pick up and delivery went really smoothly. The delivery driver was brilliant and really helpful.

After scheduling the shipment someone called me to advise that FedEx will pick up the boxes.
I contact Shipley for trucking shipment to my clients, i do not need a middlemann for FedEx!

I have found the Shiply process excellent. I used their services twice and was xtremely satisfied with the whole process. However, the third time I used one of their firms I was disappointed as there was a lack of communication and an inability to provide a time slot so I had to cancel delivery.
I think the firm was new and had taken on too much work.

My item was deluvered earlier than arranged which was great. Very competitive prices. My item which was a washing machine was handled with care. I would definitely recommend this company and would use them again.
