I've never come across such a racist people that come to pick up product for customers… we the retail people have helped people in the industry, trying to make extra money, but this person was the most racist person as and she completely ignored me and demanding, As she was done with her shopping, she told me that I needed to be fired and that Trump was coming for me. What kind of people are you guys hiring? This is so disrespectful and ignorant if I could give it a zero, I would

Instacart is actually the devil trying to ruin your life. Over and over, after having given them many chances and lots of grace, they have still managed to lose my trust forever and destroy my faith in the humanity of delivery services. That is all. Wish I could give them negative stars.
Tip for consumers:
Just don’t

Never using this service again. 3 times they have shorted my items and not cared about it. You can't report it online because their website goes to the increase the tip page when you click on report a problem. Avoid this site unless you really need them.
Tip for consumers:
Bad service and bad customer service.

The fraud was me trying to log in. There was no fraud. This has been an ongoing problem for 2 years. It is impossible to get decent help with their support center. Their site sucks. I don't understand why Costco is affiliated with Instacart.

I am a full time Instacart shopper and lately with the pandemic it's been crazy. The loads are showing good but when it's time to get the pay it's not what you excepted. The customers are able to change their tips for 3 days and that's not fair. Other delivery services like postmates and grub hub does not allow that. Because the stores are out of stock in a lot of things I believe that's why the customers are gong in changing tip maintain way low. We are risking our lives to service the customers so we should not get punished because stores are out of items they request. I hope Insta sees these because this is getting out of hand and other employees I've spoken with feels the same way.
Made a order to shop rite threw instacart $150.00 and saved 14 cents got nothing using my price plus card better to use shop rite or any other store directly they were of no help and said if i want any discount to use the store directly never again and deleted there app plenty of better and senior friendly ways to have groceries delivered
This time I was shorted bananas and they brought me expired cottage cheese, the order was 4/15/23. They refuse to reimburse for the missing bananas, and every time there is an issue it has to be escalated and proven.
That is the typical service I get.
On most orders the shoppers just grab whatever, no matter how spoiled or expired, and I usually end up with items missing. My last order from Costco I received a case of rotten apples, prior to that a bag of rotten oranges and lemons. They were spoiled!
I leave an honest review and because it's an on going problem with their shoppers, they black balled me for expecting to get what I pay for. I paid a year up front and soon realized what crappy customer service they have, I tried to cancel but they won't refund my service fee. Since I've paid for a year I thought I'd use the service but it's so not worth it. Never again, but I will leave reviews for others so hopefully they won't be scammed like I was.
Tip for consumers:
This is about insta cart service and no, they will not reimburse for missing items
Placed an order which was supposed to be delivered between 11 and 1 heard nothing checked outside nothing at 2 checked again and saw packages on the street by gate contacted instacart and was told that it was my fault because i said it was ok to leave unattended by the door. I explained that a door and a gate 10 feet from the home are not the same. Everything was melted from hours in sun they offered me a credit for less than half of the charged amount that i could use on another purchase. I asked to escalate and never heard from them again even though I called, left emails tried on line chat only to be accidentaly cut off warning do not use
If your shopper doesn't follow your instructions, they'll quickly credit you.
If your shopper buys more bags than they give you, then you're stuck with the bill.
A shopper could buy ten bags for themselves, give one to you, but you're on the hook for all the rest.
I don't care that the bags aren't that expensive. If I got one bag, you charge me for one. It's not my problem if your shoppers use your card to pay for their own purchases.
Bunch of thieves.
I ordered groceries from Kroger for delivery. The two people brought the order on time but when I checked there wasn't anything I receipt. When I checked the app they had put 70$ worth of groceries on my bill and took them with them. After calling Kroger and getting that part straightened out I went out to our front yard and the delivery persons had backed over my lamppost in the yard and not said a thing. It took me 15 calls and about as many emails to get them to agree to pay for the damage. When you try to contact the customer service you just get some call center and they tell you there's no direct contact between them and the main office. I had to get Kroger to contact them. Five weeks later and still waiting. NEVER USE INSTACART.
Tip for consumers:
Don't use this service
I started doing Instacart back in March 2020, and right after I opened up about my disability to them my batches became less and less. I reached a point where I would only get one a day if I was lucky. Also, the day after I told them about my disability, my shopping rate was reduced to the lowest number and I know I have always been a fast shopper. I also discovered that same day some 5 star reviews were removed. Also, they added some batches dropped. I tried going to the chat rooms and so many times they promised to fix my account but LIED. Today on June 23,2020 I discovered my account was deactivated. They DISCRIMINATE! They also mess with your account if you give the customer service a bad rating.
Im a elder placed my order to in with my debit and ebt card all checked out when they came to the door nothing on my food stamp they took out but took 197 off my debit all this time i called for the mistake was on hold with dispatcher she informed me that she would make the mistake up all this time waiting for delivery just for the driver to conferm i recieved it she dispatcher even talked to driver she told me the charge of one hundred and Nitey dollars for a one time mistake and the order will be taken off my debit card well called back talked to dispatcher for the elderly and point blank she told me the girl from there lied to me the girl made me wait to get my order to tell me it was a mistake and they would take it off my debit card they did not now that money came from my rent such lies made me wait for them to deliver order then lie and say oh its ok i just canceled the charge on your debit such a shame!
Tip for consumers:
i thought i got help as there is a senior line the guy walked me through it said ok order told over and over not to put the food on debit card use ebt he said great went through then later more lies saying we are sorry was put on debit but for a one time we will take it off my debit never did called my bank and 197 .oo was charged to debit not ebt card they lied saying it would be taken off my debit that was part of my rent money
Instacart shoppers are dependent on ratings from their customers to continue being able to work. Instacart 'promises' IN WRITING that shoppers will be forgiven for less than 5 star ratings due to app issues or other things which are out of their control BUT they DO NOT follow thru on that ever! They tell you that you have to complete more and more batches (that are ridiculously long distant and low paying) in order for poor ratings to be removed. Basically they use people and dispense of them on a regular basis because they are grotesquesly self serving and couldn't care less about the people who make it possible for them to make money.
First of all, you will have a problem paying for your order on the first attempt. When you finally get to place your order, shoppers shop for your order. They text you when a replacement is required. Most of them don't know how to shop. Most of the time, my order is incomplete or items are not what I ordered. I have actually received someone else's partial order, while not receiving items I ordered. My last order was a disaster. I ordered a meat product that should have cost $15. I got one pack of the meat product for about $4. I wanted jumbo eggs. I got large eggs instead. The bagging of the items was the worst. All the can goods, about 10 were put in one bag. 2 large bottles of soda, put in on bag. Eggs on the bottom of the bag with items on top. I'm done with Instacart. I'm 60 years old and handicap. I could have walked the 7 miles to the store and did a better job than these people do. Here's the problem. When you are doing something for someone other than yourself or family, you do it carelessly. That's what instacart shoppers are. Careless! I've attached 2 photos to show how careless and unprofessional these people are. Can't follow simple instructions. I asked that they ring the doorbell upon delivery. This person didn't ring. Dropped bags infront of door and left quickly.

Be prepared to pay at least $50 in fees, that's even with a membership and not including the tip if you ever need to order anything from a store like BJ's, Sam's club, Costco. In addition, let's say you order a case of water or cat litter.be prepared to pay a heavy lifting fee of at least $5. So that case of water for $4-5 suddenly costs the same as if you would of bought the $8-10 one at your local store.
The shoppers have become careless. The last couple times I ran into one downstairs they looked at me and my obvious 8.5 months pregnant abdomen lol and asked if I could help them carry things upstairs.
Sometimes they 'forget' the heavier items and even when I've asked for any other case of water from the store on the chat as a replacement. They just don't respond, but then when they show up they don't ring the doorbell either. (So you won't ask them why they did that probably).
They have left my order in the lobby by the mailroom instead of taking the elevator up, they have asked me if I don't have 'a man' to help me with my groceries (I thought they could select in store which orders to deliver, lol. And as far as who lives with me is none of their business.)
The replacements are truly awful and sometimes they simply just don't even care to ask if you need a replacement at all. They will easily replace a case of flavored Pellegrino cans and bring you a bottle of plain fizzy water.
They forget basic things like a 25 pack of toilet paper from Costco, but they don't forget to charge you. Then you have to get a 'credit' to your account (not a refund to your card) and need to reorder, tip again and wait again and pay fees again. I'm sure this works for the Instacart company as they make double the fees that day.
Other times they act as if you're bothering them because they have to bring a large order.
It seems they are more concerned with their tips than with providing good service now that the pandemic is over. It's really not worth the hassle anymore. Fixing each order takes time. You never know what you're gonna get. The app sends excessive notifications after you place the order, etc. Hopefully this company collapses for all the stress they have caused their customers. I can't imagine what elderly people must be dealing with, they can't go downstairs to get their groceries etc.
