Many vendors provided stale food and when Skip was advised they did not care to address the issue or refund the money. There are limits to their refund, despite the driver or the restaurant being at fault. Why should the customer lose? Buyer beware.
I had a promo for $20 off one order. When I tried to place an order, the promo code would not show up. After placing the order, customer service said they'd only give me $20 CREDIT rather than $20 REFUND, and said I'd have to place another order to use said credit. Such a slimy, dishonest way to make people place TWO orders in order to get the $20 instead of just allowing them to use it on the first order, as the promo advertised. Deleting the app and never using this crap company again, too shady for my liking.
Every time we order thru Skip, we always have a issue.
Whether, it's doesn't arrive, or the food is completely COLD.
And, the customer support is a Friggen Joke.

An incredibly disappointing experience that I have decided to share with as many people I know or have the opportunity to speak with. While the overall technical infrastructure appears sound, it is how Skip the Dishes treats it customers.
The other evening my wife and I ordered two hamburgers, an order of fries and two milkshakes through Skip the Dishes.
When our order was delivered the milkshakes were missing, now we accept the fact that errors can and will be made so when I contacted Skip the Dishes I assumed that they would have the delivery driver return to the restaurant to retrieve the milkshakes and deliver them. Make sense? Yes. Is that what occurred? No. I was informed that I would have to settle for what was delivered and I would be refunded for the milkshakes. I suppose I was to be appreciative of getting what they (Skip the Dishes) deemed was good enough. I was not appreciative and in fact, was very angry. Angry to the point that I suggested they could return to my home retrieve the remainder of the order and then refund me for everything.
The young lady on the customer care line said that she could not do that. This incident was sufficiently upsetting that neither of us was interesting in eating and the remainder of the order was disposed of in the trash.
I will be reaching out to the restaurant involved to advise them that I (and anyone else I can convince) will not be frequenting their establishment as long as they remain associated with Skip the Dishes.
Suggestion for a name change would be "SKIP some of the DISHES in your Order" and "we don't care".
I will never use skip the dishes again. Yesterday I placed an order and I put order instructions for them to buzz my apt once they arrived. After about waiting for longer than the time I was told it would have arrived, I went downstairs and asked everyone who had been walking their dogs outside whether any courier came by and they said they never saw anyone. Upon reaching out on the app the customer service representative Naina who was very rude told me that she understands my frustration but they came and I wasn't reachable by phone and that they wont refund me. Why would you call my phone and not buzz as you were instructed to do. They also said that they call to confirm before they send someone out for delivery. I have a screenshot of my conversations with Naina and I will be spreading this everywhere possible.
These guys eat dinner and lunch from orders placed by people and blame the customer. This is how they are getting away with making money. This company is a fraud. Dominos, pizza hut, any other delivery company would never put you through what skip the dishes does. They never take responsibility and their customer service team is incompetent. I emailed and its been almost 12 hrs still no response. Their number never goes through. I am leaving as many reviews as I can everywhere. They need to be out of business. We need to get them out of this business. They are thieves.

I ordered 3 large pizzas to be delivered to my daughters school (she's a teacher) for her birthday. Skip the dishes driver was overheard saying "I don't wanna drive to Norwood" and guess what? They didn' t deliver them to the right address and won't tell me where they were delivered to. How can you miss the only highschool in a small town? Tried to call but no phone # to talk to anyone all you can do is on-line chat. I was chatting with 2 guys with East Indian names. They were rude-dismissive and even caught in a lie to me. Oh ya they offered $20.99 as a refund but when I pay $53.73 that's not good enough and they actually hung up the chat with me. Pretty sure this is a theft!
Don't give them your business because you'll only be paying crooks
My daughter experienced them driving by her house (she was following them on GPS) the driver then turned off their GPS and never delivered the pizzas.

I ORDERED KFC BUT THEY GAVE ME WENDYS. THEY REFUSED TO REFUND MY MONEY AND THIS HAS HAPPENED 3 TIMES. LAST TIME THEY DIDNT GIVE ME ANY FOOD AT ALL, THE DELIVERY MAN DIDNT EVEN SHOW UP AND THEY STILL REFUSED TO REFUND ME!
On June 30, which was my 15th wedding anniversary, I placed an order #*******. The amount of my order was $60.99 plus courier tip, fees, etc for a total of $70.21.
Shortly after the STD driver picked up my order from the restaurant, the restaurant called me to let me know that the driver picked up the wrong order and let me know that I would be receiving the wrong order at my door. The restaurant told me to accept the order, but then to reorder what I had initially wanted, and that my initial order #******* would be refunded. So I placed the exact same order on order #*******. I had to, because my wife requires gluten free items, and there were no gluten free items in the mistake order.
Today, I noticed there was no refund issued, so I chatted with a CSR by the name of Jaya. Jaya apologized for the inconvenience, and told me that my order would be refunded in full.
I just looked at my credit card online, and it shows an amount of $60.00 being charged to my card, not credited. So now, I have two charges of $70.21, and now an additional charge of $60.99.
This is BRUTAL customer service. This is not the first time something like this has happened to me. I will not be using SkipTheDishes again.
Bad service and horrible treatment of employees! DO NOT... Ordered from skip the dish. Place my order on sunday, the restaurant called said they did not have what I wanted, they wanted to substitute my order for something els, i do not eat pork or beef. So I canceled my order within a few minutes, SKIP THE DISH took my $56.00 and will not REFUND my money. I was trying to SUPPORT our local business. Well SKIP THE DISH CAN GO "FUK OFF". They just can't seem to fund my house.its not hard just fooled map it and it's eight there. How hard is it to deliver to the right adress. Last time using it,lost my business.

They no longer have a phone for you to call and there online help doesnt respond half the time. The other half they have no answers. Seems like they are just getting cheap with the service.
They are absolutely horrible! I tried ordering from their online service only to have a message indicating there was something wrong with the order; I was instructed to revisit the order for fixing the order. I kept getting messages at checkout indicating some things have changed in my order and that I should examine it (I'm not sure what this possibly could be). The only option was to 'dismiss'; I couldn't review the order.
I tried at several pizzerias and received the same message. I finally gave up and successfully ordered via Doordash.
I subsequently emailed their support team to indicate what had happened and they responded by asking me for the order number. I emailed them that an order was NEVER registered because the system would not allow me to put through the order. For whatever reason, their brains couldn't register this simple explanation and kept coming back with the same response i. E. provide them with an order number. I repeated my self several times about why I couldn't provide an order number, however, it was to no avail.
I'm going to continue ordering with DoorDash due to the ineptness of Skip The Dishes.
We did do our dilligence when ordering but something went astray. Our placed order was not what we got. Rather than complain we ate what we received... will no order from them again.
Today we ordered food for all our employees & the driver simply left the food on the step! WTF? No notice at all! It was cold by the time a customer brought the food in!
Terrible. Never get all of what you order and its a hastle to get them to correct their errors. Tired of ordering coffees and donuts and only getting some of the coffees.

We ordered McDonald's at 11:04 and at 11:10 our driver went to the other side of the city, and at 11:30 they just stopped. We reached out to support and they said they couldn't help us.
I went on Skipthedishes to order some 7 eleven my order went through but later it said it got canceled so I decided to order McDonald's instead since my order was canceled little did I know that I was being charged twice for 7 Eleven so both couriers came with my McDonald's's and 7 Eleven at my door I get confused. So I messaged Customer Service they only issued me a refund for the duplicate but not for the second 7-Eleven order even though I didn't want it and thought it hadn't gone through. They say they can't issue me a refund because it was delivered even though it was on them and their website told me it was canceled, the Customer Service representative was really $#*!ed it's like communicating with a $#*!ty AI... I've been using SkipTheDishes for 3 years and spent over 6k on the website I'm no longer going to be using SkipTheDishes because they're $#*!ing stupid as hell. Stay away from SkipTheDishes!
Someone from management must check. Ordered food, piece of cake missed. Refund completed right away. But why? Too often happened that item missed.

Worse app ever bad experience had a restaurant mess my order up 2 times and I even send price they never gave my money back
Pick up time for food was 7:15. It's only a 10 minute drive to our place from the restaurant. Food gets dropped off at 8 and it was cold.
Placed an order, and ended up receiving someone else's order instead. The delivery guy messed up and grabbed the wrong bag. It happens. I get it.
However, there was no quick solution on their website. The "chat" option was grayed out, and there isn't phone number to call. I had to send an email, which meant I wasn't getting my problem fixed quickly. It's insane that's how they're set up.
In the meantime, I re-ordered the same order. I figured I'd still get my food, just a little late. And the refund for the first order would catch up.
Nope. The 2nd order just never arrived. It's actually still listed as "active" on my orders page 12+ hours later. And because it's still active, I can't list it as undelivered. But they still charged me for it.
I managed to later get into chat (no longer grayed out) and get both orders refunded. I had to explain I didn't want credit with their service, just my money back. To be fair, the chat support was helpful and responsive. It just wasn't available when I actually needed it at the beginning.
Bottom line, if you want your food on the first try with quality customer support, these aren't the guys. The only thing they get right every time in a timely manner is charging your credit card.
4-6 co workers and I have ordered from skip at least once a week. Usually on Fridays as a treat to ourselves. However this Friday our order kept processing and then cancelling. We called the restuarant and they claimed it wasnt an issue on their end. So we reached out to Skip the dishes and I was told I'm no longer allowed to use their services because of multi refund requests. NOT ONCE have I ever requested a refund that wasnt valid. We have had our orders dropped at wrong reception desks and we have had to re order. We have had missing items or peoples full lunches missing from the order. So instead of disciplining the restaurant, my account gets cancelled. I tried to get my account reactivated through talking to their customer service and was denied. So apparently Skip the Dishes would rather cut off a weekly customer tham deal with bad drivers or lasy restaurants that miss items. On top of all this I still am recieving weekly emails about their promotions. Ive unsubscribed yet continue to get them.
