I placed an order through skip the dishes. Minutes later, while I was on a call, someone called me from an unknown number. I did not answer because 1, I was on another call and 2, a lot of spam calls use unknown numbers. When I was done with my initial call (which was less than a minute from when the unknown caller called) I called the unknown number and it turned out to be skip the dishes. They answered and I replied someone tried to call me. They checked and confirmed that they ran out of 1 item and since they couldn't get a hold of me, they decided to cancel the item and refund me for the item. I then asked them if they could replace the item with another item since the estimated time of delivery was not for another half hour. They said they couldn't replace the item since the refund was already issued. I asked them if I were to place a new order for a new item (for my guest) if they could refund me the delivery fee. They said they couldn't and ended the conversation. Very unprofessional and rude. This is how they make their money. Knowing people will not answer unknown calls, they take the opportunity to cancel the partial order so customers can place a new order for the missing item and get charged the delivery fee AGAIN!. I've been a loyal customer to skip and this is how they treat them. Well guess what, they just lost a loyal customer.
I ordered Tim's in the morning and received it to my address, about two hours later I ordered again did not receive my order the help me team ( bull $#*!) said I moved in the last hour to next door address. F. CK SkipTheDishes
Delivery driver was late, food came cold and soggy, customer service did the bare minimum. I highly recommened using a different delivery service.
Skip the dishes is complete $#*! there is no one ever there to help you its always an answer bot.
The people that deliver the food not so great either
I've been using skip for about 2 years and never have a good experience with them. They also need to hire customer service reps.
I ordered dinner when I recieved it the contents of my dinner were at the bottom of the bag. I told customer service. They refunded me in skip credits which I did not want. I ended up using the skip credits to order something else for dinner and 2 coffees one for me and one for my co worker. Both coffees were tipped over and filled the papers bag they were in. I told customer service who said they were going to refund me in skip credits. I said no because this happened twice in a row. Not happy and wont use them again
Skip is dedicated to getting the food to you, but they really don't care if it arrives hot, or not.
Over the last year, Skip could have more drivers on the road, but choose not to.
Instead, they've opted for ostracising a large number of their former couriers from completing deliveries, by updating their delivery software on Android beyond the accessibility of couriers with older operating systems.
However, the ordering software is still accessible to all platforms.
This indicates to me, they're all about getting your money, but don't care whether your delivery arrives in a timely manner.
I've received at least 3 cold food orders, in the last year. Skip's only compensation is $5 refund for each $40+ meal, but that doesn't make the cheese less coagulated, it doesn't make the fresh, hot bread less stale, it doesn't make the food I ordered the food I was craving.
It also doesn't restore that restaurant's Skip Score to 10, when the restaurant gets dinged for cold food.
They don't get it, they really don't.
This service does not give refunds if the food is not delivered and you try and communicate to get refund, they say they tried to call you. But in fact didn't, and just stung me out of 60$. They have lost a customer. This has has happened too many times now to excuse!
Deleted skip goodbye
If you have a problem, and they don't agree... they just hang up on you. Skip canceled my order, and gave me credit. I asked for a refund since they were the ones that canceled... instant disconnect. Terrible service, terrible company, deleted the app and will never use them again. Too many honest companies out there.
Order Mcdonald's to a hotel. Never arrived, and when I requested a refund, they gave me useless "Skip Credits". And not even the entire amount!
For the second time I order food for my kids in the same month and the drivers put it in different house. I lost trust in this company as they are using a very bad drivers. Not well respected and they can't recognize address.

Complete incompetence
I have had so many issues with Skip the Dishes since I started ordering. Drivers do whatever they want, and there is "nothing anyone can do". Tonight just put me over the edge with this company to where I will never order from them again. I ordered from a restaurant less than 15 minutes away. The driver picked up the order, and I waited over 20 minutes watching his car not move. I chatted with Joel from Skip and told him what was happening, and while I talked to him my driver marked my order delivered. I went outside and checked all around my house and nothing. I said this to Joel and he left the chat. I then called and they said the driver claimed I was outside of his zone... I was able to order to my address, you were able to pick it up so please tell me how it is outside the zone? He had my order for about 25-30 minutes before fraudulently marking it delivered and he kept the order for himself. Well now everything else is closed and I am stuck with no food and I spent the last 1.5 hours dealing with these imbeciles. The customer service is non existent. A refund, while I did receive it, is not what I wanted. I wanted my food! I am hungry! I will never as long as I live support this business again.
They charge seperate prices compared to what the business itself is charging. I think it's a better idea to just order from the company itself at this rate.
SOMEONE NEEDS TO PUT THEM OUT OF BUSINESS. THEY SHUT DOWN ORDERING FOR ANY PLACE THAT HAS NUTRICIOUS FOOD AT 9 PM EVEN THOUGH MANY ARE OPENED TIL MIDNIGHT. THEN IF YOU CANCEL YOUR ORDER THEY TRY TO STEAL YOUR MONEY.
I placed and order, was charged $22 for a salad. I had ordered two salads, but only one was delivered. When I complained, the representative I spoke to told me he was refunding the order and I can use the refund to reorder. THIS IS NOT A REFUND! IT IS STILL ME PAYING FOR THE ITEM! A proper refund would be the company refunding the missing item, then skip ordering the missing item at their cost. I should NOT have to use my refund to reorder. That is not a refund. As someone who has worked in customer service most of my life as well as taken a customer service training course. This is NOT good service. It is a money hungry company making you think they are helping but really they are just worried about the money coming in, and not about their service to their customers. I order from skip lots, I will no longer order through them. I have deleted my app and will either drive myself to order, or order through another company.
I ordered breakfast for my bed ridden mother and kids while at work. The courier dropped of the drinks and syrup, that's it, no food. I got on with STD customer service and they messaged me that they could not reimburse me because I made too many complaints and been reimbursed too many times so they can not reimburse me now. I wanted the courier to take the missing items back to the house, they couldn't do that either. So they could take my money and not fulfill their service by delivering my order and take my money in the process. They basically stole my money. I called *******547 and got the same spiel for the guy I spoke to, he says he will get someone to call me, which I know that is a lie.
So, basically if you order with STD and they take your money and do not bring your food you should not send in a complain just give them your money. They are thieves and I will escalate this with the BBB.
Was a reg customer for a while then last thursday overcharged me. I didnt know toll i checked bank that they charged me twice. Restraunt called skip for me whete mad too i delred my account right away told them i wanted money on card put it on as credits i give up skip guy on phone was fude am done with skip lost my business i use uber eats now never again will i use them..
Answer: Not at all easy. And they are disrespectful, rude and downright terrible at providing service. The worst company I have ever dealt with.
