A followup as to what happened locally. Presented the false charges from Skrill to my bank - the Huntington National Bank (Columbus) and were on it like pit bulls. They took care of the ALL the false charges, no problems to my account. One of many reasons, they have had my money for nearly 30 years. Always feel 'Welcome'. They'll be getting atta-boys on here so the 5 starts are not for Skrill.
I've been using Skrill for several months to transfer money to my parents in India and have generally been satisfied with the service—until recently. My last transaction has been stuck in processing for over 7 days, and I've received no clear update from Skrill. After six days, Skrill requested my father's name, further stating "If not provided, the banking partner has the right to discontinue processing my payment". They did not provide any valid reason why this personal information was necessary. When I asked for clarification, their response was dismissive and unhelpful, simply stating that I was obligated to comply due to their terms and conditions. This is not only an invasion of privacy, but also a deeply concerning lack of transparency from Skrill. As a customer, I have the right to know why such sensitive information is requested and how it will be used. All my relevant personal details—my current address, email ID, and phone number—are already recorded in their system, which should be more than sufficient to process the transaction. This kind of request without clear explanation is unacceptable. To make matters worse, when I sought further clarification, I was told that "your case has been escalated and will take several days to review", further delaying my transaction. This has caused unnecessary stress, as the delay directly impacts my parents, who rely on this money for bills and other expenses. Skrill's lack of transparency and slow resolution process is extremely disappointing and unacceptable. This lack of communication and unclear demands for personal information should raise red flags.

They stole my money. They use the verification process in order to scam people. They needed my ID but won't recognize it. Then, I tried contacting the support and all of a sudden, my account was locked and my $200 vanished.
Unfortunately, my experience with this company has been less than satisfactory, and I find it necessary to share this feedback for the benefit of potential customers. Initially, I was hopeful and excited about the prospects of working with this company. However, my excitement quickly turned into disappointment.
My first encounter with trouble was during the verification process. I followed the routine procedure of submitting my identification document for verification, which, in my understanding and experience with other companies, typically takes just a few minutes. To my dismay, this was not the case with this company. The verification process dragged on not for minutes, not for hours, but for days.
Then came the second issue – my funds became inaccessible. I found myself in a precarious situation where I couldn't make any withdrawals or transactions. This was deeply unsettling because it felt like I had lost control over my own money. It was a truly disheartening experience that lasted not just for days, but frustratingly enough, for weeks.
In the face of these challenges, I sought help from the company's help center. I reached out multiple times, hoping that they would address my concerns and rectify the situation. Yet, all my attempts were met with an unsettling silence. I received no emails, no platform responses, and no calls. It was as if my issues fell on deaf ears.
Despite the status of my case being escalated and marked as a high priority, three days passed with no updates or progress toward lifting my account restrictions. This lack of communication and action further amplified my frustration.
In light of these experiences, I feel compelled to advise potential customers to think twice before engaging with this company. The issues I encountered not only caused me significant inconvenience but also raised serious concerns about the safety and accessibility of my funds. It felt as though my money had vanished into thin air.
STAY AWAY FROM SKRILL!
This company charges you so much money to complete a transaction to a 3rd party.
When you feel that you don't want to do business anymore and that you want to get the rest of your money and close your account... they will shut you off without any warning.
Then, after a couple of months, they will send you an email saying that since your account is not closed, you will have to pay them a fee of 5 euros that will be charge every months.
Even if you reset your password to get into your account and do the verification code, nothing will work.
They will cut you off of your account and they will not respond to your emails.
They are a criminal organization... they should be closed and all their clients should be reimbursed.
Tip for consumers:
Don't do business with that site... they are real crooks and they change their FEEs all the time, for no reasons.

When I first created an account, all the verifications I did, my ID expired, so I used a passport from the second country Vietnam, but now I live in the US, I passed address verification, bank account and everything was verified, I deposited cash to Skrill, and the bad thing is that skril kept my money, now not accepting Vietnamese passports My man, it's a scam, I hope any authority will punish Skrill
This payment platform is extremely unsatisfactory. Once you deposit money into your newly created account, it becomes impossible to use or withdraw the funds because they never verify your account. On top of that, you are required to pay a monthly fee of 5 euro for simply having an account, even if you do not use it. To add to the frustration, they continuously send emails every month to remind you about deducting 5 euro from your account. It is disheartening to see your money go to waste. If possible, it is highly recommended to avoid this platform.
When first using it, the website gives you easy access to deposit in money, though withdrawing is an issue, in which they keep your money. Actual scam. Would give this trash site a negative rating if I could.
I am part of a company that does mystery shopping and my payment goes to Skrill (no choice unfortunately.) In the past, I was able to get my money transferred to my bank account without much issues. For my recent payment, I have raised multiple tickets in order to resolve whatever issue they think there is (I'm getting a rejection on withdrawal no matter what I used, whether bank transfer, debit card etc). I also called their support team and followed the instructions to the letter such as registering a new email address, changing my password, sending them an email from the new email address etc. Until now, I am still unable to make a withdrawal. I've tried to send an email to the person who handled my complaint but nothing, no response at all.
NOT worth 1 star!
Shocking and deliberately misleading!
They are s…t, they're happy to accept any amount as a deposit, great, you'd think? But, NO!
What they don't tell you is they restrict your withdrawals to $700 per day!
You only find this out after you deposit and TRY to withdraw!
When I rang the UK office the lady found my call TOO hard to handle and put the phone down in my ear!
Stay away at all costs!
I sent money to Skrill using my Visa card so I could pay another Skrill user. The money briefly appeared on Skrill as a deposit and then vanished. There is no record of it on their site now. When I called customer service and emailed them with proof of a bank statement showing the funds deposited to their site, they did nothing but send me general rules and then marked my complaint as "resolved".
Prior to that, I started the site using my Master Card. I read all their rules, but Mastercard is not permitted despite their rules. They still took $200, and after hours on the phone they finally refunded the money back to MAstercard and asked me to use another source of payment. That;'s why I used Visa. Then when I used Visa, that's when my money just simply disappeared.
Don't use them. They steal your money.
I used the services of skrill for about a year, the turnover was 1000-2000 euros per month, the account was completely re-verified and about a month ago the transfer for 35 euros hung up (the sum was small, but I just didn't want to give it that way). Contacted their extremely inhibited and incompetent customer service. After a few weeks of trying to communicate, they just blocked the account. At the moment, for the third time I am sending documents for verification (although the account was completely verified a year ago). I think this is just SCAM, I do not advise anyone, bypass this payment system if you do not want to lose your money.
I keep receiving emails saying that I have Skrill money no such thing its a scam you will never receive any money using this BS. Don't do it and don't waste your time the people suing it are scammers more than likely.
They are scumbags but after two weeks of the usual crap did the following.
When emailing them via an open ticket start your email with "Please note the all communication hence forth is being recorded for the case I have opened with the financial ombudsman" (*******@financial-ombudsman.org.uk)
When they say your ID isn't clear point out that it's an email attachment and that it's there clear as day as evidence
This got my account unlocked and I shall now close it
Good luck and I will advise of response from the Ombudsman
If I could give 5 stars for the worst service experience of my life, this company deserves them! It is not possible to describe the frustration and the pain that requires dealing with them. Unbelievable - non existent - support, problems, technical issues, latencies and back and forth all the time. After 4 days the account is not working, the login is wrong, we are unable to transfer money and you can't even understand what the support is telling you (heavy accent, lot of noise on the background).
Stay away from this platform. I wish I had read reviews before depositing my funds which have not reflected after 1 week.
After calling several times and explaining the issue, nothing was resolved. Please stay away from this app if you are serious about life.
Skrill is a scary site to use, I would never trust them AGAIN. I withdrew money from a streaming website to their platform, on a legit address, I received the confirmation from their address no reply of the transaction being confirmed, and money never appeared in my account. I waited thinking maybe it takes a few working days but no. It never got there. I contacted support and all their answers were copy paste of templates they were instructed with. My tickets would get instantly closed. 2 Weeks later my money is not there, it is not coming back either. They are careless and scary to use I am not going through good days because of them, spare yourselves, I have no reason to lie. Thanks

I noticed 3 charges all from SkrillUSA for the same amount of 77.18 all on the same day. All were not authorized and now I cant contact them. The number on their "help" page goes to a realty company. No other number is connected. I've written the NY Attorney General but do not expect much as I live in Ohio as is my bank. How did they get this new debit card number and what is with th 3 false charges. What else is there to do? Worse Skrill wants me to open an account before they'll answer any emails!
I bought some units in CGLD at $0.65/unit for a total of $124.52. This is my first time buying this coin. I was totally flabbergasted when I found out, after purchasing, that I start with a $27.62 loss (-18.15%). The counter was a flat-lined with no trade till time of writing. I don't know how this comes to be such. I hope someone is able to explain to me so that I and other unsuspected investors would know to avoid.
Be very careful. This operator has sneaky ways to claim you didn't comply to their admin requirements and then keep your money as an admin fee. They will also not tell you what you did wrong only that they have reason to believe you did something wrong. I don't understand how they are still allowed to be an operator in the UK payments system. They should be investigated and shut down. Do NOT use.

Don't use this company. I should have checked reviews first. I made a big mistake by allowing Skrill to withdraw money by giving them authority to use my routing and account number for $500. They have been holding my money for over a week now. When a person sends money, they expect the receiving person to get that almost instantly. I think a person should use a money transfer entity that requires ID and location, at least the state where it's sent. Thanks for reading.
If you are looking for a LEAST costly method of accessing your funds, I won't hesitate to say that skrill is so far the BEST.
Their charges are entirely reasonable and they do NOT charge you an annual fee or a maintenance fee. If you use a mobile wallet to withdraw funds, you can do it INSTANTLY and they don't charge you for it- it's totally free!
However, as the saying goes 'Nobody is perfect', skrill has its' drawbacks too.
1) Firstly, if you send an e-mail to the customer support, they never reply. So basically, you have no way of contacting them.
2) Secondly, at times(for days at a stretch) the system fails. I have been trying to withdraw money and it doesn't work! If they could fix it, I won't hesitate to recommend Skrill to anyone.
Thank you.

An excellent service!
Was extremely easy to register & set my account up. I found it simple to send an international transfer - I needed to contact customer services to ask them about something and I found it convenient to do so, able to get through quickly.

I'm really surprised about all the bad comments concerning Skrill.
We use it with my family since few years now (we live in 3 different country) and we NEVER had problem with them. I talk about thousands of Euros...
The electronic master card always work, the balance is always correct,...
I was thinking to open an account with Neteller that's why i checked the reviews of both... Neteller got the SAME bad reviews (even worse) thats why i'm going to open an account with them if u see what I mean.
Skrill is bancrupt, do not deposit money! WARNING!
You wont get your money back. I have been SKRILL (Moneybookers) user for 12 years, they stole me 30 euro, in the end. What a joke of a company.
I have my account blocked for no reason, no one is replying to complaints, place is sinking fast.
DO NOT DEPOSIT AT SKRILL.COM!
The truth is that I has a Skrill account for many years, and used it occasionaly mainly during my travels, as a security measure, just not to use my regular cards. However I didn't use my account much, after I got Revolut which is much more convenient and I had never activated the new card Skrill had sent me.
Everything was great until one day I've noticed that my account had negative balance. I asked them how can this be possible as 1) My card had not been activated by me 2) Since I had no money in it, whoever made the charge should be declared and not have negative balance. They reply that the charge was from something I bought A COUPLE of YEARS ago, and the merchant decided to claim the money now. Needless to say that this was totally unacceptable as I was unable to remeber whether or not I had made this transaction after two whole years, plus that even so, a mercant cannot just claim money whenever he/she wants, they have about 10 days I think to do that, and surely enough not two years!
So to summarize Skrill was asking me money for a transaction I had possibly, two years ago, the inactive card (it should not have worked just because it had never been activated) had negative balance (a card that it is supposed to be debit one and not a credit card, the balance should have never been negative) and they wanted me to pay the money!
Well needless to say that I just closed my account!
