A followup as to what happened locally. Presented the false charges from Skrill to my bank - the Huntington National Bank (Columbus) and were on it like pit bulls. They took care of the ALL the false charges, no problems to my account. One of many reasons, they have had my money for nearly 30 years. Always feel 'Welcome'. They'll be getting atta-boys on here so the 5 starts are not for Skrill.
I've been using Skrill for several months to transfer money to my parents in India and have generally been satisfied with the service—until recently. My last transaction has been stuck in processing for over 7 days, and I've received no clear update from Skrill. After six days, Skrill requested my father's name, further stating "If not provided, the banking partner has the right to discontinue processing my payment". They did not provide any valid reason why this personal information was necessary. When I asked for clarification, their response was dismissive and unhelpful, simply stating that I was obligated to comply due to their terms and conditions. This is not only an invasion of privacy, but also a deeply concerning lack of transparency from Skrill. As a customer, I have the right to know why such sensitive information is requested and how it will be used. All my relevant personal details—my current address, email ID, and phone number—are already recorded in their system, which should be more than sufficient to process the transaction. This kind of request without clear explanation is unacceptable. To make matters worse, when I sought further clarification, I was told that "your case has been escalated and will take several days to review", further delaying my transaction. This has caused unnecessary stress, as the delay directly impacts my parents, who rely on this money for bills and other expenses. Skrill's lack of transparency and slow resolution process is extremely disappointing and unacceptable. This lack of communication and unclear demands for personal information should raise red flags.
Horrible & Hectic system to hold bank the users money. I am unable to transfer the amount INR850 to IQOption.com though I have verified everything. Stating that insufficient balance. This is one of fraud wallet service hacking the public money. In the name security nothing is allowed to transaction from own account.
I recently sent money $315 US which they charged me $8.50 to upload and $8.50 to send also on top of that they jacked up their currency from 1.34 to 1.41 CAD to USD. They are making a killing from morons like me!

I have never had an issue with skrill, and I am equally suprised by all the super negative reviews. I also started using it back in 2010 when it was still Moneybookers to receive my online payments for writing jobs. It sucked when I would have to transfer cash from Skrill to my bank account and I would always lose a lot in hidden charges as others have mentioned. Then they introduced Skrill iT, which to me is simply a God sent. I tend to believe that it is banks that 'steal' the money somehow, because with Skrill iT I always get what I expect.
Do not use it, its a worst service you can see! They waste your money and time.
Customer agent are so rude and they cannot solve any issue, they keep asking you to clean your cache or wait another 48 hours! Do not waste your time with skrill
Worst internet based experience till now. They stole my money and told me to provide my identity proof. Identity proof? Do you really want my identity proof to validate my transactions or are you requesting it to just deter me from accessing my funds? If you really want my ID verification, then why you allowed me to deposit fund in the first place? And if you really want to verify it, then tell me your problem with those documents which I have sent your way? So far, they have failed to give me authentic reason for not accepting any of my ID proofs.
I transferred my money into these people's website to transfer my money from my account to a brokerage account. Once they got my money they gleefully informed me that "Your account has been restricted for:
All transactions" and "to remove restrictions verify your identity".
If I wanted that song and dance I would have used my bank. If they told me upfront please verify identity to open an account, I would have moved on to another service. Now I have no choice but to work with these pikers.

No one should use skill. It should even be banned it hate it how can a young guy like me get the documents they are asking am too young to get those documents. Its my prayer skill get banned that's my prayer because i was sending money to someone and they brought that verification. So my money is still stuck in it. I made my first withdrawal without any problems, but to keep using the service, I needed to verify my identity. I followed their procedure for verification, and a couple of days thereafter I received a message from Skrill that my verification was complete. The same minute, another message followed saying that my verification was not in order, and further action was required. The site shows opposite information, one page says that my account is restricted and I need to verify my identity, whereas the verification page says that verification is complete. All the while, my account is blocked, and I cannot receive money. Customer service is non existent. I wrote to them many times about the problem, and received no response whatsoever, not one. Now, you decide if this is worth your mental health.

Knowing that visa will not be able to chargeback them they worked with various scam forex brokers to get money from clients and never return them after stealing it away. Personally lost 200k usd to them when I should win 1 million.

They have stolen more than 1500 euros in 7 years since 2014 until now my inactive months represent 50€ of account management. Avoid this and just do Revolut, they don't steal your money. I've been using skrill since 2010 till today to trade forex and i have never had any issue of them scamming the only issue i had was when they deducted money i owed without saying my account was -100 and when i deposited 300 there was only 200 in my account but they kindly explained and showed why when i asked so yeah i don't get what everybody else is saying.

I am really surprised by all the negative reviews. I use Skrill.com (back in the days Moneybookers.com) since 2010 with NO issues at all! It is not as popular as PayPal.com, still it is a good service providerfor payments.

However, to my surprise, they charged me an exorbitant NETWORK FEE, in addition to the 2% that was already provided.
Basically, on a withdrawal of 30.42 USD, they have deducted 18.71 USDT as Network Fee. It has no logic.
When I questioned them, it took them more than 1 week to respond, and the response was from someone who didn't even take the time to read my complaint.
I still do not understand the reason for this charge, and I have not yet received a response. But what I do know is that I won't be using Skrill anymore.
