In literally 2 minutes, had a $19.99 replacement for my $120/mo cable. I don't like TV anymore, but Sling satisfies my wife's habit while she continues to quit too. Looked into 'long-range' digital antennas, but they're better suited for flatland folks.
I spent a lot of time on their site. I signed up to get locals as I am rural and antenna doesn't work well. After enrolling in service I find that I am required to buy an antenna to get local service. I had to go through a bunch of red tape to talk to a representative who informed me that I would have to get an airtv antenna for the local service. When I said I just signed up less than an hour ago and would like to cancel as I was basing my decision on local channels. I was told I would have to pay for the whole month regardless. I will be informing everyone of this so that others are not ripped off by a disreputable company.
I switched from hulu to switch right back. There sports is crap. No local stations. No fox ABC NBC CBS. Price was initially 54 dollars.l, next payment 96. I so not recommend sling. I missed world series haven't watched my football team play. Haven't been able to keep up with my shows because they don't have the channels. They say buy an antenna for local stations.gtfoh spend more money to watch TV you should be having available DO NOT USE SLING!
We can deal with the lack of local TV except NBC. We can deal with not being able to see the devices that are signed into the account. We can even deal with the woeful customer service and worse application. What is hard to deal with is the failure to market honestly. We purchased the Orange plus Blue package plus a number of add-ons. The Orange package allows 1 streaming device. The Blue package allows 3 devices. Their marketing says you get everything on Orange in the Blue package and then some. It DOES NOT tell you that you have to know what channels are in the Orange package and what channels are in the Blue Package. It turns out that, even if you have the bundle, you can still only stream on 1 device those channels in the Orange Package. You do not get 3 for the complete bundle (or 4 if you were to take them at the "plus" language). This is very misleading and quite unfair. Customer Service told me "that's the way it is". We will be evaluating our needs and services provided.

I purchased a "football" package shortly before the season started and I was very excited. I'm not so excited anymore. The programming inexplicably cuts out and after several seconds comes back on. This really interrupts your mood while watching a show. Furthermore, Sling intentionally cuts off at least ten seconds of their programming at every commercial break. Now that may not sound like much but a lot happens in the last ten seconds of a show, all so they can hit you with even more commercials. When I signed up nothing was mentioned about only receiving partial shows. In my book that's fraudulent. And to add insult to injury they will play a Sling commercial with no content for thirty seconds before they didn't sell enough time for actual commercials. For me, when it's time to renew, I will leave and never look back even if they fix everything.

Sling took my money. I paid for both packages. Sling stopped providing me fox 5 Atl. And they wouldn't give me my money back. Sling stated that it was and IP problem (lying). No other channel is being affected.
This is exactly why I'm canceling my subscription.
Sling in general has awful customer support. In addition, stopping the service was a nightmare. After canceling the service, if you click on the icon from ANY of your devices for ANY period of time, it automatically renews the service without letting you know. If you have kids on devices, you can imagine the problem. When I called again to get it cancelled again, they told me there is nothing they can do. Bad company, bad customer services, you are better off going with another streaming service.
We signed up for the trial and were charged before it ended. We called, while still in our trial, canceled and were told it's against their policy to issue refunds. It's been 4 months and we are still calling every month to make sure they cancel and they are still refusing refunds. They assured us a week ago there would be no more charges last week and another payment posted today! The customer service number wait is usually 30 min or more every time we call. We have decided to dispute the charges with a bank to get all of our money back and to block them ourselves. Theives!
Worst streaming service ever! Borderline scam. Customer service literally told me " sorry, nothing more we can do...we will start a ticket & you will be contacted via email".crickets... I have screaming fast & stable fiber internet.
This streaming service deserves zero stars channels that we paid extra for either doesn't work or has horrible glitches we cant enjoy our favorite shows without freezing. I requested a partial refund and denied and It hasn't been two weeks.
I wish I would have read reviews before signing up for a 5 month "deal". I assumed I would be able to see my team (Ohio State) since the advertisement was for college football. Ohio State is a well recognized brand but almost none of their games are available. 1 on big ten network. The local channels also cannot be streamed in my zip code for some other inexplicable reason. The process should include a way to indicate what you want to watch and you should be able to see if it is a match.

I can't cancel services on the website. I tried on Chrome, Edge and Firefox. No browser worked. Everytime I clicked "Review" to see the changes the page says "Oops there was an error, refresh page" Never works. This has been broken for a very long time and I'm sure they know about it. Sucks to pay for services you don't use.
I signed up for the 7 day free trial and cancelled after one day because it was not what we needed. I was charged $40 despite cancellation. I spent over an hour talking to customer service, who unapologetically explained they have a "no refunds" policy, with no exceptions.
This clearly is not a successful business model and I'd be extremely wary of ever signing up for a service who has a policy like this. It's also incredibly difficult reaching customer service.
Sling tv free is the absolute WORST free movie site! Yes you can watch free movies. However you get 2-3 minutes of the movie, not even a whole scene before another "sling" break that lasts 3-4 minutes. Most definitely uninstalled the crappy app. I hope people see this and not waste their time on this channel.
Crappy platform you can't even fast forward and unwind without watching ads. We found every 5 minutes we have to watch 2.5 minutes of ads it's repetitive. We actually have marked the company advertiser on our do not buy list. It's annoying how many ads we will never ever subscribe to sling again EVER. We are going to dispute the credit card charge because it cost us more money and time just to sit through their ads. Terrible. Never again

Most of the programing you are paying for are re runs for tv shows, that were on the air 40 or more years ago. Most shows I had seen originally and have seen the re-runs numberous times for free. Now these people want you to pay them to see them again? Bad programing. You are basically paying for what you saw for free years ago. They have a few shows, like CNN and FOX. But those shows aren't worth paying 40.00 just to watch them. I cancelled, but kept the free down load, but every time I turn on Sling, I have to go through a screen asking if I want to re prescribe. Tired of that. Going to unload the program all together.

Their DVR feature stopped seriously short this evening when it decided to stop recording 30 min before the event actually concluded. The ONLY response the low-functioning single digit I.Q.; clock-puncher chat agent could muster was, "there is nothing we can do...that is our Policy and Procedure'. This was repeated several times as if the so-called chat support agent assumed I was deaf and dumb. While I am definitely not a rocket scientist, it wasn't a reach to figure out that "troubleshooting My Account" wasn't what caused the SLING DVR to stop recording a show because a specified hour was up. The DVR isn't located on any of my devices or my Settings account. I clicked on a specific sports event and the App responded with a confirmation it was going to record that event. What does my account have to do with that? With no help offered I simply asked the bot-like creature on the other end of the chat, 'why I should remain a SLING customer if that is what i can expect when I ask for support?, and no answer was forthcoming, only a 'friendly' invitation to cancel my account. I never mentioned or asked to cancel my account...I merely wanted a reason to STAY a customer. Shame on you SLING!
I endured this service for a year and a half. The BIGGEST issue was the constant buffering and signal loss. I jumped through all the troubleshooting hoops to make sure none of my other devices were stealing bandwidth away to no avail. The antenna that I receive my internet signal from is about two miles away and I have a direct clear line of site from my house. I can actually see it.
I had the same routine everyday. Come home, unplug the tv (before turning on) so it will reset itself (Because it would never be ready to use without the hard reset). Proceed to watch tv and then have to do the hard reset at least 4-6 more times a night. This is not an exaggeration people. This service will drive you insane.
They don't carry cbs either which means I miss a few bears games every year unless I make other arrangements.
In conclusion, I switched over to YouTube tv one day and I don't have the signal loss/buffering at all. Completely gone. It's like back-to-normal tv now. What a huge relief! You have been warned.
We saved and purchased a sling orange plus blue in order to watch the FIFA women's World Cup. Being that we live in the USA, the USA games are important to us. As well as the finals. Upon purchasing, we were told that we would get every World Cup game. Pay attention to the * because that tiny dot is how you were supposed to know that some areas don't carry fox on sling. Sucks for my family. This was something we wanted to do together and now we have wasted money we dont have and cannot even enjoy the games. Unfair and sneaky.
I signed up for a 1st month $20 promotion and was charged $44. I immediately cancelled bc they didn't live up to $20 promotion or a refund. Just spoke with a rep after waiting a few days for an email response and they agreed with my issue but did nothing since it in the fine print. Sling Blade is a better name for this business. Buyer beware!
I noticed $15 extra charge on my last cc statement I contacted them it was over free trial that I cancelled but it didn't go thru so 2 months later after 2 calls and chats they say it's cancelled but will not credit. I'm thinking about changing companies. Have been with them for 5 years. I guess that doesn't mean anything. No loyalty there!

You pay for a package then Channels don't show up on the guide. You go to their chat site and get asked the same questions within 3 chat boxes only to be disconnected from chat by someone. Why are the allowed to hide a phone number? Why doesn't the FCC/Congress do their job. Oh wait government due their job is like asking sling to do theirs, useless! Maybe some lawyer should generate a class action against all those companies, maybe then it'll get solved.
For some reason sling no longer shows certain local channels, yet the reason they raised the rates, according to them, was because I would have access to local channels which have since been removed! Don't bother trying to contact Sling because all you'll get is the run around and their website is completely useless. I don't know who is in charge of the guide, but that person should be fired there is so much jibberish tabs it takes longer to find what you're looking for than to watch it. SLING is beyond a joke it shows just how criminal these streaming apps have become!
I despise commercials. We all do. When my favorite show starts a commercial, I switch channels, but Sling makes you watch all the commercials before you can actually switch to the next program. They show the commercial in a smaller window and keep playing the sound even if it is 5 to 7 minutes of continuous commercials. They lock you out of progressing. I hate this and thus I now hate the products that are being force fed to me.
I ordered sling on 9-12-23, online when I signed up the computer said I would be charged 27.50 immediately and 55.00 on 10-11-23. Instead they took $55 out of my card on 9-12. I called and told them their error, of course it's another country I'm calling, talked to two people they only would read a script, saying no refund and I would have service a month. They claim I was existing customer because I used 7 day trial a year and a half ago. Not I tried it one day. I deleted their app immediately and am now disputing through my bank.

I have to close out of sling and go back in 6 to as much as 10 times. Just to watch 1 hour of TV on Sling. Constantly freezing up or caught in a loop and it's not my WiFi. Sling is the only service I have to do this with. So pissed I payed for 5 months in advance and they will not allow me to cancel and get a refund for the worlds worst streaming service.
If I could give ZERO star, I would! I only tried their "free" trial period for 24 hours, could not find my favorite channels, cancelled subscription, but they still charged me for the full first month! Frequent glitches with those annoying "we'll be right back" blackouts. Stay away from Sling!
I've been with Sling for 5 weeks so I could watch ESPN. Very frustrating! Lots of drops outs. Weird sound. Internet plug-in failures. Watching tennis finals I had to re-boot every 15 minutes or less. When it crashes it often freezes the O/S on my Mac. I'm dropping them.
