In literally 2 minutes, had a $19.99 replacement for my $120/mo cable. I don't like TV anymore, but Sling satisfies my wife's habit while she continues to quit too. Looked into 'long-range' digital antennas, but they're better suited for flatland folks.
I spent a lot of time on their site. I signed up to get locals as I am rural and antenna doesn't work well. After enrolling in service I find that I am required to buy an antenna to get local service. I had to go through a bunch of red tape to talk to a representative who informed me that I would have to get an airtv antenna for the local service. When I said I just signed up less than an hour ago and would like to cancel as I was basing my decision on local channels. I was told I would have to pay for the whole month regardless. I will be informing everyone of this so that others are not ripped off by a disreputable company.
False advertised saying that you can stream all live NFL games, however, they are blocked in all local areas. You cannot watch your OWN TEAM'S games because of "blackout restrictions in your area" determined by the viewing channel blocking all streaming. Sling TV refused to refund my money for the 3 days I had the service because I watched 1 channel on it (to test out how the service is) before the football game came on. You also cannot escalate any situation to management because they have "scolded their employees" to not escalate anything. Complete SCAM - DO NOT GET.

I signed up to watch football. They simply do not have any live football accept MAYBE one game a week Monday or Thursday night if your lucky. EXTREMELY rude Employees. THERES A REASON THEY HAVE SO MANY BAD REVIEWS... BE WARE!
The app is very bad. It stops and starts all the time. The customer service is nonexistent. No phone number to contact anyone. Too bad they have many great channels!

More than 10 years ago, my oldest son was given a sling box by his grandparents and may have had the app on his first iPhone. It was kind of a passing fad and after the 1st year I don't believe he ever used it again. No one in my house has used a slingbox or sling tv app in at least 8-9 years, so when I saw a $1.00 charge come through as pending on my credit card for "Sling" I didn't think anything of it and never associated it with this tv box we had. At least not until the full charge came through as $140.30 for Sling TV. Turns out they posted the charge to a very old Amex card number of mine that I haven had (and has been expired) for at least 7 years. My son must have had an account with them, but that information has long since been lost. The only conclusion that I can come to here is that someone at Sling fraudulently charged my card. I disputed the charge and got the money back but that is sleazy. I have since read many stories about people getting charged for random things they didn't order from Sling TV. Maybe an attempt to boost their bottom line?
Horrible quality and even worse service.
Works for about 15-30 seconds at a time, then freezes and spins for 1 minute... sometimes indefinitely. However, that's not even the real problem.
Started service and tried to cancel the same day - basically told too bad, you paid and now you have it for the next month.
I have gone back and forth on the phone, via facebook messages, etc... They literally place that $26 subscription fee over any level of service, despite the fact they will never see another $26 from me (or anybody that I come into contact with in person or via social media). Absolute worst company I have ever dealt with.
And in the event you do have an issue (after paying), it takes forever to get a human where you can actually speak to them... but then it is only to tell you they will not help or take actions to make things right (NOT cannot help, will not help). Each person wants to tell you about "policy policy policy"... which if that is the case, the company needs to rethink their vision - having a refund policy that is more important than customer service? Perhaps if you offered a service that worked, you would not have such a strict policy on refunds - those that offer good service with a quality product rarely have to issue refunds. The fact that the policy is so strict should be a warning.
If I had to venture a guess, this company is literally staying afloat by first time subscribers... which a strict refund policy would make sense in this case if it is your only source of revenue. I cannot imagine people keep this for long.
A big rip-off. Do not ever sign for them. I have a long story. They are a big scammer. Took money without using their services. Trust me big rip off. Stay away please

Whenever you try and contact someone in the chat feature, it states that they are at their max capacity and basically tells you to $#*! Off! This is the $#*!tiest App service I've ever had to deal with and I will never use this piece of $#*! Service ever again and hope they go out of business.
If you think you are going to watch football do not purchased they say you can watch football but no they don't have any station for that and they won't refund your money for miss leading it is Sunday and not one NFL game I can watch

Was looking for local channels to watch football it ran my ZIP code told me I'd be able to get local channels like Fox and NBC after I signed up realized I could not get it called back an hour later they told me because it was a promotional price I cannot have any of my money back this company sucks I would never use them to stream and will be seeking a charge back with my bank under false advertisement
I tried Sling for a whole 2days over a month ago and decided to cancel the service since it was no better than streaming or watching regular tv. Well, Sling thirsty behind had the audacity to reactivate the account (01/15/23) and STEAL $86 from my credit card used when I activated the service. Calling my bank to dispute the theft.
EVERYONE WILL KNOW YOU STOLE FROM ME SLING, I will post on every site until I get my money back.

I don't have issue with customer service... The issue I have is the false advertisment of watching sports. When is Sling.Tv commercials on? During sporting games. What do they advertise? Watching NFL games. That sole purpose of getting sling becuase I have amazon, Netflix, and Hulu and football is the only sport I really watch anyway. Besdes basketball. So I was hoping to be able to watch my football games and cancel my subscription at the end of the season my subscripton won't last that long. If your'e going to advertise football games then make sure you have them for people to watch.
Not even 24hrs later, it suddenly says I need to log in and my credentials are incorrect, yet same credentials on my cell using WiFi works just fine. Tech support gaslit me (I'm in tech) and told me that it's my internet. I told them every other app works, it works from my phone, my work laptop connecting to work VPN no issues and that credential issues have nothing to do w Internet. They still continued to gaslight me and would refuse to help me or even give me a timeline of resolution. Every time you log into it, you have to sign in again. If you reboot your streaming service device, you have to relog in again. It's ridiculous! Cancelling not even 24hrs later.

My router is right beside the tv and sling still lags, buffers and goes to a black screen, stops and anything else you can think of. I DON'T recommend SLING until they fix the problems. I'm almost ready to go back to Xfinity (Which I Hate) because the Sling service is so bad. I have a ROKU and all the other apps work perfectly, so it's gotta be Sling.
Sling is great if you like commercials it's the only app on my TV that buffers and sometimes for no reason at all the screen goes completely blank and I get a little blurb about technical difficulty or this stream not being authorized out of all the apps I have sling is the only one I have problems with
What a joke. This is not a service worth even half of what it costs, especially for someone who only streams on a computer and who is used to getting through commercials easily on say YouTube. I wanted MSNBC shows without commercials. I first had to pick a costlier plan, had to record the shows, and then in order to TRY to delete commercials I had to use a slider which tried to thwart my every move, sometimes with a result of overlapping sound from different places in the video, and combined with a hideous bar of white fuzz over the lower third of the screen. WORST INTERFACE EVER! Don't bother, even at a 50% discount for the first month which can't end soon enough.

I have been a loyal customer of Sling TV for a few years now, yesterday, while making changes to my account I noticed there was an advertisement to get local channels added onto sling service at no additional charge. So I clicked to add that to my services. Today, I checked my account and had a $52 charge from sling. I contacted sling via phone, and the lady was helpful and said they were getting everything fixed, however, she had me on the line for 25 minutes and I had to get back to work as I was on lunch. I eventually had to disconnect the call when she had me on hold, but immediately started a chat upon getting to my desk. The individual that I chatted with stated that it looked like I had accidentally signed up for the air tv antenna that was $49 a month instead of the other one that was offered. At that point I didn't even care, as I told both ladies I spoke to when you say "at no charge to you," that is misleading when a charge appears on my account of $52, and I just wanted it cancelled. After some time of waiting the lady got back on the chat and said they could not accept antennas back and I would stuck with this service as well as paying $49 for something I did not want. My order at this time was still being processed and had not even been shipped out to my home. The lady let me know there was nothing more they could do to assist me in this manner. I will be ending my sling service after I speak to a supervisor this afternoon.
Before downloading sling tv on your smart phone, I'd recommend being totally aware of downloading and uninstalling app. Procedures. I downloaded app to watch a college football game. The next day I decided to uninstalled app. I was aware I'd be charged $20.00, but the second month rolled around and another payment withdrawn from my banking acct. It's not enough to uninstall app and complete any survey. You have to personally contact Sling TV. The second month payment was returned because of the timing of my call to them, but there was time involved. You also have to provide good reason why you uninstalled and didn't contact them personally.
Sling slammed me into their premium package and refused refund when discovered. I usually sign up for them each fall for college football games, and in the past have been fine with their services ($30/mo "guaranteed price"). However this time around they slammed me into a premium package that included starz, showtime, and epix, all of which I didn't want and didn't sign up for. Once I got my bank statement showing double the amount per month, I chatted with them on their site (you can't call them) and talked with a manager and they flat out REFUSED to refund. I canceled and will NEVER use them again! Customers BEWARE!
Being given a 30 day free trial by BEST BUY resulted in an incorrect charge to my credit card by this company and then the audacity to tell me my account had been revewed before it was due and that I could not get a refund because I cancelled 11 seconds late... WHICH I did not even get the full 30 day trial period anyway,. I have emails from SLING that proves they billed me early. Their desire to help customers resolve their issues is extremely poor
