In literally 2 minutes, had a $19.99 replacement for my $120/mo cable. I don't like TV anymore, but Sling satisfies my wife's habit while she continues to quit too. Looked into 'long-range' digital antennas, but they're better suited for flatland folks.
I spent a lot of time on their site. I signed up to get locals as I am rural and antenna doesn't work well. After enrolling in service I find that I am required to buy an antenna to get local service. I had to go through a bunch of red tape to talk to a representative who informed me that I would have to get an airtv antenna for the local service. When I said I just signed up less than an hour ago and would like to cancel as I was basing my decision on local channels. I was told I would have to pay for the whole month regardless. I will be informing everyone of this so that others are not ripped off by a disreputable company.
So they had this ad - see Fifa World Cup matches live for $40, signed up, tried it and it doesn't work. Started researching why and this offer is not available for my location. So they showed me the ad knowing my exact location by IP, they charged my cc knowing my billing address - sold me something is not available for me fully aware where I'm located. They have no refund policy, because they know exactly what are they doing. False advertising and no refunds = sketchy business.

This is by far the best of the cord-cutters, I have mine set up, paid 2 months in advance, and got a professional Roku device delivered to my house free. I have Sling apps on my computer plus the 3 TCL TV's in my house which have a built in Roku app. I also have a TV antenna set up in my house for FREE local channels, so for a mere $20. A month I get everything I can watch. Try Sling, I guarantee you can not beat it!
Signed up for $274 sports deal, found extra charges on my card. Had the extra charges removed, then service wouldn't work. Told me they had to add more charges to my card to fix it. I said no, cancel please, the same day as signup. Kept getting the service anyway, then the refund came 3 weeks later and had a full month's (undiscounted) rate subtracted from it, and I was then to be charged full monthly rate. Was told they couldn't fix it and I could no longer get the $274 deal. Cancelled immediately (2nd time). What a mess! And don't believe that you can get live local stations, you cannot!
Sports package is a RIP OFF for college football fans except PAC12 - 6 PAC12 channels, 2 BIG10 channels. 95% of Commercials on every channel target minorities. I get it- we're all supposed to be 'woke' now - don't beat me over the head with it when I have to pay for it too!
Started up for second time. They mention monthly amount, but got charged yearly amount on credit card. They also write CANCEL ANYTIME. This is where the deceit comes in. One can cancel, but they will not refund your yearly payment so you are stuck making that yearly payment. I WAS TOLD THAT YOU CANCEL AFTER ONE YEAR OF PAYMENT. Customers beware.

After moving to Houston during hurricane Harvey we had no way of getting cable tv hookup. Joined sling, what a mistake! We could not watch tv without it freezing up. They WILL NOT REFUND ANYTHING NO MATTER WHAT! Awful company policies, rude and ignorant customer service... stsy away from this app!
Was unaware sling couldn't be cancelled with Roku. Surprise, another draft hit and no refund available. No more sling from this household. Hoping they go by the way of Netflix! POS!
I signed up for a 1 month trial of Sling TV ($20) on 4/24/23 specifically to watch the NHL playoffs. I took a screenshot of my enrollment confirmation and save my email confirmation. I needed to cancel on 5/24/23 or I would be charged $40 monthly until cancelling. I cancelled my subscription on 5/24/23, deleted the app from my TV and my phone and considered it done. I received an email confirming that my subscription was cancelled. Tonight while reviewing my credit card statement, I noted a charge of $40 on 5/25/23. I contacted Sling and was advised that I was approximately 1 hour and 22 minutes late on the cancellation and that there was nothing they could do. They do not issue refunds. Period. End of discussion. My conversation was disconnected. I was refused a discussion with management. I want others to be aware of the poor customer service of this company. I expect they are suffering financially and will go out of business in the near future due to their lack of customer service. Sharing my experience is one recourse that I have, and I will do so to the best of my ability.

Sling is not bad for simple channels but not with good channels. I have tried sling tv orange/,blue package.it said I got the channels listed and I didn't get all of them that they said I did within my package, the lo al channels depends on area and availability I was located in the availability area and still couldn't get the local channels I wanted. I called customer service I got run around and I know the don't give refunds the could have offered me a couple months free service for inconvenience. I asked how come I didn't get all the channels that it said I'd get in the package including the locals. They put the blane on me said I must not have not had availability in my area. I checked it said I was in the availability area. Pros and cons to sling. But for the price u pay u can get the same channels free on tubi, freevee or pluto tv. Nothing against the product, BUT BE CAREFUL. I am reviewing all streaming services. Last May I must have used a free 7-day trial. This past weekend I went back to check changes and enhancements. When I saw the billing statement I agreed to process through Amazon thinking it would start AFTER the trial as is typical with other similar services. BUT NO. They billed immediately. Nowhere during the sign-up process was there a warning that the trial (on the email account provided) was used and it allowed me to move forward. Calls to customer service and a supervisor resulted in their saying THEY WOULD DO NOTHING, and the charge stands. My bad, but their refusal to correct smacks as HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.
BTW, I just received a boilerplate email saying, "Your business is important..." Sorry, I don't agree.

STAY AWAY... SLING is AWFUL! I tried sling tv on the recommendation of a friend as a way to watch live sports. I tried multiple different sports and days and could NEVER actually find what I had hoped. There were ONLY two live NCAA on a Saturday... really... there are over 100 games being played. So I called and got a very nice woman who was helpful but when she couldn't fix my issue I asked for my account to be cancelled and asked for a manager to get a refund. I was unlucky enough to get Antwon who is not only a condescending $#*! but apparently he is the only manager ever available at sling tv. When I asked for his supervisor he stayed his name was Tommy but that Tommy doesn't take calls! That's convenient! So not only are their supervisors asshats but they don't allow customers to complain above the floor supervisors! They clearly don't give a crap about how they are screwing over their customers!

COMPLAINT: Sling TV did not refund my $25.00 within the seven-day trial period.
FACTS: I order the Sling Blue package on 11/23/17. I called to cancel on 11/27/17. The representative, Liz, refused to provide me a refund.
PRO: The representative Liz was very polite. She was very careful to avoid directly challenging me or saying no to my request for a refund. Instead she evaded my questions and repeatedly stated I was on a prepaid plan instead of the trial period.
CON: Sling TV refused to issue me a refund as a courtesy or because I was in the trial period. Even after asking to speak with the manager, Liz placed me on hold for over 45 minutes. The manager never answered. The phone line eventually disconnected.
SUMMARY: Be aware their promotion may be designed to make it difficult to cancel or receive a refund if you are unhappy with Sling TV service.

I am extremely disappointed with this streaming service. Not at all what I signed up for. Most of the "Live" shows are at least done a day before. Could not find any live sports available at all!

I was an hour late cancelling the "free trial" and they charged me $99. Saying that had I not used the free trial they would have been able to refund me... what BS
I activated the subscription to watch FIFA 2022 and cancelled the next day when I realized not all matches are available live in my area. They charged me for the whole month.
They have tons of bugs but the main ones, especially for watching sports:
1. Many games are missing the end or beginning. I understand that some games get longer than expected, but can; t they assign someone to readjust the actual play time? There are only few games a day at the most, and there is one recording for everyone (you cannot choose to add 30min like you can do with a normal DVR, only Sling can). A lot of games stop few minutes before the end at the cliff hanger.
2. On replayed games, Sling replaces the commercial with their own, and sometimes big chunks of the game are missing. Not only the commercial run over, they stitch it back missing entire drives and scoring plays in football. After the commercials are done, the scores are completely different.
3. On some channels, like comedy central, the Sling commercial start in the middle of the scene. And to make it worse, it resumes not at the same point, making it impossible to watch.
4. Some recordings will just not play. As a sports fan, I had to pay other subscriptions in order to see the same content that appears on my sling dvr, but won't play.
My husband and I chose sling over three years ago and were very satisfied with the service and pricing. Although, each year they increased the pricing by $10.00 we continued with the service because at the time they were still the best option. However, for the past 6 months or so we have been experiencing major buffering and other errors that sling refuses to take accountability for. Not to mention we are currently pay twice as much as we were paying when we first chose the service. We are at our wits end with having to restart a show/movie every three to five minutes. When restarting many times yo do not have the option to continue where you left off but have to start from the beginning. If you are privileged to see 30 to 40 minutes of the episode behold there comes the buffering and you have to restart from the beginning. HORRIBLE! Sling if you fail to resolve these errors and we have to continue paying over $67 monthly under these stressful conditions we will be forced to go with another provider. There is another provider out there and they offer channels that you all refuse to offer. PHILO will be getting our business.
I canceled my sling account and lift the US for three months, when I came back I found out that I was still being charged on my credit card. When I contacted them they refused to refund me the money and told me that they never received any cancellation even though I emailed them the cancelation email. DO NOT subscribe with them.
This company does not provide Competitive Priorities in Operations Strategy: Cost, Quality, Time and Flexibility. They also have poor customer service I will not ever use this service again. Buyer beware of the free-trial IT WILL COST YOU BIG TIME!
I called their customer service center only a few minutes after being notified that my card was charged, Rep said their policy is that they cannot refund or reverse charges. Customer rep would not let me talk with a supervisor and simply quoted it was company policy. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!
SlingTV is garbage! I called several times that when watching a program it would freeze and requested a refund. Corine N. (supervisor) ranted the whole phone call not asking how she can resolve the issue. DO NOT GET SLINGTV. THEY ARE A SCAM.
They say you can have one stream with the orange package, 3 with the blue package and 4 when you get both. But I can not stream even 2 with both packages. The first customer service rep told me because of Disneys contract with them you couldn't watch espn on more than 1 tv. The second rep told me it was because of the orange package. So in short you can not strean 2 at all so I gave up and canceled sling tv and learned a 40.00 lesson. I will never go back to sling tv, once I say I will never return, bet on it. Just ask Verizon if I ever went back. These nodern snake oil sales men need to go.
Sling itself is just ok. We liked it at first but when they got rid of Bally's sports and we could not see baseball live all the time it became obsolete to us. My wife canceled online and that should have been the end of the story. However, four months later I got an email from my bank account that I was charged basically $70 from them. After I looked into it Sling never canceled our account and continued to charge us. My wife used their chat service to talk to a rep and a supervisor. They said they were sorry that there was nothing that they could do to fully refund our account saying that because it was a prepaid service that they could only credit back the latest charge. They would not investigate it, didn't care that we were not using Sling for four months, and didn't care about us as customers. Sling never canceled and we are busy with 6 kids and just thought it was done. We didn't know but Sling should have pumped out an email to confirm cancelation but we never got one and didn't know we were supposed to get one. So buyer beware that if you decide to cancel make darn sure it's canceled because you will get no where while their reps and managers are towing the business line that there is nothing more that they can do for you. That is what their answer will always be. We are currently looking into other options as we are not going to give them 210 for free. Extremely dissatisfied.

Beware when you want to cancel...make sure that it is indeed canceled and then after that check you bank account and make sure they don't charge you anyway.
