In literally 2 minutes, had a $19.99 replacement for my $120/mo cable. I don't like TV anymore, but Sling satisfies my wife's habit while she continues to quit too. Looked into 'long-range' digital antennas, but they're better suited for flatland folks.
I spent a lot of time on their site. I signed up to get locals as I am rural and antenna doesn't work well. After enrolling in service I find that I am required to buy an antenna to get local service. I had to go through a bunch of red tape to talk to a representative who informed me that I would have to get an airtv antenna for the local service. When I said I just signed up less than an hour ago and would like to cancel as I was basing my decision on local channels. I was told I would have to pay for the whole month regardless. I will be informing everyone of this so that others are not ripped off by a disreputable company.
I fell on hard times and had to pause my service. With even better luck, I got sick and was bedridden for a week, during this time the subscription processed prior to me realizing. Without using the service, I contacted customer support shortly after to request a refund and they out right told me no, they can't. I can't believe they wouldn't have some type of understand during a customer's hardship. I've never experienced lack of empathy or care for their customers with situations like this. They are cancelled and I 100% will never use them again nor will I be recommending them to another soul.
The service operates about 30% of the time over a 2 month period. I spent 2.5 hours with customer service and it wasn't fixed. It ended with them sending a report to the developers. They offered no credit. My account is set up to cancel on 4 days, which they acknowledged. So they know it hasn't worked and won't work and still don't offer a refund. They're a horrible company with spotty service who will rip you off.

I subscribed to Sling Tv for a long time. I recently decided to restart my account. Everything I saw indicated that Fox & ABC were available in my area. After signing up I could not find Fox or ABC. I have gone through the channel line up several times and they are just not there.if those channels were there, I would have been happy I returned to Sling. I feel really cheated. Obviously I canceled my account and will never even consider using Sling again. I am happier with my current, yet more expensive service.
Love what Sling TV advertises itself as, but in reality, every 30 minutes or so you get disconnected, have to sign back in and if the program or sports event you were watching was in the last few minutes of play; Sling will not allow you to reconnect. Crazy stupid customer service access and they seem as though they are operating with infrastructure 1/20 the capacity of their audience. I was a very big advocate of Sling when they started out and now that they are 'live' and pay per month with streaming; the service has tanked.
I accidentally double ordered Sling using different emails when it wasn't working, and thought it had expired. When I realized this, I called customer service to explain my error, correct the problem, and ask for a refund for my mistake. It took me several calls, a long time waiting, and eventually a supervisor who refused to give me credit, because "we had used it". I explained that I thought we were renewing the same account to the same house. He still refused. Courtesy is not in their lexicon, so they have one less customer now. I closed the account.
I'm receiving Sling tv as a free trial offer and I'm STILL outraged by its poor quality! Tried to watch one episode of Big Bang Theory and it kicked me off (went black) no less than 6 times. This has been an on/off again pattern throughout the few weeks I've had it. It's NOT the TV or other apps... they all work great.
Will I subscribe after the trial ends? Yes, when I'm crowned Queen of England.
Right now I am trying to watch MSNBC. When I click on the icon I get the PGA tournament. No idea why and no way to reach Sling. Their customer service is the worst. The app often has glitches and I don't see any course correction on their part. I am now searching for another streaming app. This might force me back to Spectrum, god forbid.
I tolerated the frequent price increases because, in addition to the good programming, I could stop a show anytime, go to another show, and come back to the first one without missing a beat. The format changed and the continue watching space is about a 3. Also, searching for on demand programming is cumbersome. The update isn't working for us,,,,, will probably drop service.
Service frequently buffers or cuts out. App is slow to load. Often freezes trying to pull up the guide. And we had an unauthorized purchase of a PPV fight made on our account somehow, and despite the fact that we contacted them twice prior to the event, they refused to offer a refund. So if you want a fairly cheap service, you'll get what you pay for, and every now and then you'll pay for stuff you never bought.
Sling TV added a $45 dollar charge for a WWE pay per view event. I did not request the event and did not want it. I contacted them and told them there must be some mistake. The event had not yet occurred, so I asked them to cancel the order. They refused. They just kept repeating "Pay per view events are non-refundable." Be aware - these people are crooks and liars. I will be canceling my subscription and reporting them to the Better Business Bureau.
Sadly Sling and its online DVR are seriously flawed, I will highlight just 2 of the problems to keep this succinct, for one the preview you are given if you hover over the play bar is wrong, it will show a previous program and when you click to go forward or backward there is no linearity to the tool, one centimeter can be 2 hours going back but 2 minutes going forward. Trying to watch a sporting event on Fox Sports is hideous, you will miss the beginning of any game you record because the games are packed too tightly together with no room for overlap. Instead of being able to sit down and watch a game, you have to search for the earliest part not overlapped by overtime. When I get a service to specifically watch a game and most of that game is not broadcast I have a hard time justifying $70 a month.
You $#*!ers got me with your false advertisement saying I'd be able to get the Stanley Cup finals. Then I cancelled an hour late because I didn't know these Jews automatically renew on the morning on the date... Bottom line $#*!ers Suck go elsewhere

Don't bother calling. It's the typical run around, the person who answers can't help, the supervisor won't help and - I love this part - the supervisor has no supervisor! There is no higher authority in all of Sling TV than the one supervisor on duty the day of your call. They won't give you another number for someone higher up, they won't give you an email to contact, they won't give you anything. "Lily" who does not have a last name, was the ultimate and final say in all things Sling TV on the day I called. "Lily" told me I would just have to eat those charges.
She did suggest I look go searching for Sling's TOS and someone in there I can file a complaint. Don't bother. The hoops you have to jump through just to get to it is ridiculous.
Way too many options these days to put up with this bs.
Just be careful. I canceled my free trial 2 days before it ended. They charged my account the very next day. I tried to get my money back but they have a no return policy. Even though they broke their end of the deal. Very poor customer service ice. Talked to 3 agents. All 3 were complete lost. But they are still sticking to the no refund policy. Now I see why they have only a 1 star. Save your money. The guide is just awful. I absolutely hated it. That's why I canceled early. This is definitely another "scam you out of your hard earned money" company. This company needs to be stopped!

I have been misled to believe that I would have access to football however without my local channels I cannot access even the most basic footballs games available. The customer service is nonexistent. The website states that free OTA are available but are not actually available. This is misleading and clearly an attempt to mislead the consumer. Because I paid in advance for a package to provide me with a season worth of football I cannot get any money back and Sling has succeeded in stealing from me.
Mostly sling tv works. Occasionally, it goes off the rails and just tells you it can't connect (this is not a wifi issue). The recording feature is awful. I record Struggle Meals and it routinely cuts out half way through the show and starts when at the end of another episode. The biggest bonus of I get NBC. If it weren't for that, I would go to Philo.
If it wasn't for the long, every 5 minute commercials, I would love sling. At least half of what they show maybe three quarters of what they show you can find on free apps so if you're going to watch commercials why would you pay for it. I have over a thousand channels from free apps and sling over laps most of those. If I really want to watch a special or particular Network I'll pay the little bit of extra money and get it for commercial free, Sling it's just not worth it anymore
First of all they have too many commercials! I counted 14 commercials the first ad break, the second one and the rest of the breaks throughout one show had 13 commercials each!. Come on! The remote is awful! You can't pause while watching tv; it pauses for a second then continues playing. Trying to rewind is annoying because you can't rewind during commercials, and if you fast-forward it suddenly goes to the end of the show. The remote has a mind of it's own. Right now I'm watching a tv show and the commercials are playing and the show is somehow rewinding at the same time, but yet I can't rewind past a commercial... Sling needs to hire more experienced programmers. I plan on canceling Sling.
Sling TV is horrible! The app itself is horrible and you lose where you're streaming on it. I stream through ChromeCast and it doesn't work. If it doesn't work they don't give you your money back. I do not recommend using Sling at all. I have signed up for one month and I will never ever go back to this program! Look at Hulu TV!
Awful service, avoid at all cost! We tried them out and after not being happy we decided to suspend the account while we tried a couple of others. It was unsuspended (I missed the email they sent) and was charged for a full month. I called and of course no refunds. I can deal with not getting the 25 bucks back but with such a limited channel selection, it's not worth using it. YouTube TV is a much better value, even at 50 bucks a month, Sling is trash...
Stay Away... yes it has improved over the years but the streaming service still freezes and gives you the circle of death or pixelated images. If you complain to them about the service, they will ALWAYS tell you its not them its your internet provider... really... I have top of the line fiber internet and it still gives me the circle of death or pixelated images (see attached image of my internet speed test at the time of error. I am so fed up, I needed to write a review and tell people. Stay away

The sling app is a piece of crap. Can't watch whole episodes. Live TV restarts from the beginning when the app is re-opened. Skipping forward freezes the app. Randomly disconnects from Chromecast. Spoke with "Customer Service" (lol). Asked to speak with manager, and still couldn't get a refund or solutions. I'm now paying for a month subscription to a service that offers no services.
You have 0 contact support you advertise offering big sports games on your channels yet play something completely different. Always on a channel you don't have, always another "package" you need to add on. This is a joke and I do not know how you have not been sued or burnt down. You are terrible service and will probably scam 1,000 more people as I type this so congrats on being a scum company and smile atleast you got this payment.

Ordered the Polish channel package. Each channel comes in at a different size - portion of my actual screen. Sling tried to tell me that I should adjust my screen size to each channel and they will not refund my money. Be very careful paying these people for anything. Never received my $300 back and channels are unwatchable, and extremely poor quality - not to mention a quarter of my screen! I spoke with several people. No one attempted to make this right. Thieves.
