In literally 2 minutes, had a $19.99 replacement for my $120/mo cable. I don't like TV anymore, but Sling satisfies my wife's habit while she continues to quit too. Looked into 'long-range' digital antennas, but they're better suited for flatland folks.
I spent a lot of time on their site. I signed up to get locals as I am rural and antenna doesn't work well. After enrolling in service I find that I am required to buy an antenna to get local service. I had to go through a bunch of red tape to talk to a representative who informed me that I would have to get an airtv antenna for the local service. When I said I just signed up less than an hour ago and would like to cancel as I was basing my decision on local channels. I was told I would have to pay for the whole month regardless. I will be informing everyone of this so that others are not ripped off by a disreputable company.
The internet said I could watch MTV Catfish Season 9 on Sling TV. I signed up but could not find this show or MTV. I checked again and the other site said I had to sign up for the "Comedy Bundle" to get this. I found a "Comedy Dynamics" and signed up for it. Still no MTV or Catfish. The first time I tried to cancell Sling TV, I went through the process, which seemed designed to confuse customers, there was no real cancellation option. The second time I had to sign in and was able to cancell.
They charged me a month even though I was not through my 7 day preview, the app sucks, freezes and they would not refund my money, now I have to contest charges
I subscribed to sling in 2023 for a couple of months and decided it wasn't for me. My husband decided he wanted to try them 9 months later and set it up with his information. The next thing we saw was that both of our cards were being charged! I called and called it is so hard to get through. 3 months they charged both of our cards. Finally I got through early on a Sunday morning. These people said that I did not ask for my card information to be removed is why they still had it but could not explain why both my card and my husbands card has been charged for the same service. I was livid. After being told there was no manager available I told her I'd wait and puff one was available. I asked him what explanation and customer service would he give me for stealing my money. All this mother joker kept saying was he apologized. And no there is not one above him. I said so what services can you provide me for free since you've stolen my money. He said some robotic bs. This company is out of the Philippines! Why do these people bring their business over here to rob us. Sling you will go out of business really quickly conducting business the way you do!

DO NOT TAKE THE FREE TRIAL! We were charge for the free trial even when the service was canceled. Rather than refunding or working with us, the C/S agent was argumentative and would not assist. We were forced to open up a case against Sling TV to have the issue resolved. Due to this problem, I can not recommend this service. Not a safe company to do business with.
This was an all around TERRIBLE experience. The service for $20 didn't have 1/4 the show options as Netflix or Hulu and I have both so it just wasn't for me. Now. The charged me on the 24 of June overdrawing my account I called and customer service said there was nothing they could do. Then I called back and got a customer service agent name Jamal who politely informed me once again they don't give refunds. I asked to speak to a supervisor but after assuring me that he would tell me the exact same thing (although all car's say that who are we kidding here) I got to speak to one of the rudest most condscending supervisors in HISTORY. Jamie spoke to me like I was a complete idiot. And my favorite thing about this customer service team is Everytime u ask a question they let u know why u don't need the answer to.it. So I have now paid $60 for a service I haven't used for 3 months. NEVER AGAIN. I HATE SLING TV! AND JAMIE!
I have had constant issues with sling from the channel not loading to shows set to record not in the DVR. Tried to contact them and got nothing. No way to retain customers. Negative rating.

DONT DONT DONT DONT. Cant stress that enough. Hands down absolutely worst product. Sobis the firestick/box for that matter. Every every day needs to be rebotted. Constantly kicking me off the show i am watching stating i turned on slung on a other device so i cant watch sling on the tv. I never turned on sling on another device. I have the atrongest internet and router available and sling still cant keep up. Shows r always stopping and starting. Dont get this product.

They simply steal money from user on name of Automatic Billing. For some reasons, if you forget to deactivate your account before next billing cycle they will not refund your money.
Terrible Service and Customer Service ( Specially Jimmy)... you buy it to watch world cup and it does not even stream for the whole length. And worst ever customer service possible with the most unhelpful unsympathetic robotic people hired for this job. I had monthly subscription with them. In May there was a promotion going on which was cheaper than the monthly option if I signed up for an year. I availed that option and cancelled my monthly subscription. I received an email confirmation in May stating my connection was disconnected. I was reviewing my credit card account yesterday and saw they have charged me in June, July and August. I called them and asked for a refund, but they would not refund my money. Also the reason they gave for charging me was that one of my devices attempted to connect to Sling because of which they re-activated the connection. I asked them to delete my card information. Also put a block on this merchant. This company is a fraud
1. They kept my credit card on file, even after I disconnected my service. I automatically assume, when any company closes the account they would not keep my payment information
2. Without my authorization, they started charging my card again. If I would not have noticed, they would have kept milking me
3. What is the guarantee that they have actually deleted my card information from their system now, and they wont automatically start charging me after few weeks

Account was hacked as they do not offer MFA on account access. Was advised to enable parental controls to prevent unauthorized purchases when I called about my plan being changed and PPV events being charged to my account. (why would I look at the parental controls if I am not a parent? Call it account security if that is what Sling is using it for. It is an intentionally misleading title. And only prevents unauthorized purchases, account would still be accessible to hacks without MFA on the account) Was told they can only give me back the last month worth of charges from the extra services added when my plan was changed. When looking into the issue, customer support mentioned that they could see my account was hacked and being accessed by 100 devices in other countries. Still would not issue refund for PPV events that I did not order and did not stream on any of my devices. They are profiting off of hacked accounts in this manner. I have been a customer for 6-7 years with no changes to my plan up until it was hacked. I have never disputed any bills until I was hacked. They obviously do not care about their customers security, ostensibly because they are profiting off of their lack of security features and putting their customers at financial risk.

I have been using Sling for 5 years. Do not purchase. Recent updates have rendered service unreliable. Terrible customer service. I am switching service. Do not recommend you purchase.
I dont get the negative reviews. I have had Sling for 5 years and it is AWESOME. I get premium channels, on demand, AND local TV through the internet hookup I have anyway. SSSSOOOOO much cheaper than cable! Very reliable!
I got sling TV but I couldn't get the service. It kept streaming. They charged me anyway. So now I had to pay for a service that I can't use because it's constantly thinking.
The website says 5$ off for the first month. I subscribed to that but I was charged fully. Also, the channels are frequently out of service.
Not worth the money!
I've been a sling customer for years. I started off paying only $40 a month. My bill now? $70. Mind you nothing changed and nothing extra was added. They advertise on demand but don't always expect anything on demand to be updated the next day. I'm on day 3 since my on demand has not been updated. As for watching something from the guide that previously aired so you can fast forward through commercials, no you still have to watch commercials because fast forward is not an option. You have to watch at least 3 commercials before you can actually fast forward. They have so many customers and keep increasing their price. They get enough from commercials too. Their customer service is, for a lack of a better word, unknowledgeable. There was a time where for over 2 weeks nothing was updated for previously aired. My shows were dated to be aired in September. This happened in December. Called customer service maybe 5 times in 4 days if not more, and no reps had any idea why this was an issue. And every new rep I spoke with I had to repeat my issue because taking notes for the customer profile or ticket isn't a thing. They all tried to get me to do the same steps I already tried hoping it would fix the issue instead of escalating the ticket further. I was told it would take days for it to be escalated. So I either had to watch my shows live or wait until the next day for it to be available on demand, maybe. There's always been days where sometimes channels don't even work or load. And don't expect any compensation for the issue that occur on their end and interferes with your time. This service has been nothing but disappointing and frustrating.
They should call it BodyCastTv because it is that broken.
DVR rarely works; if you forward/rewind too much, the audio/video gets out of sync, or stops working altogether... assuming it even loads your recorded content without error.
And "recording" is no better. It often starts/stop recording at wrong time, leaving me with half an episode or the first or last 10 minutes is chopped off. But most of the time I don't know what it recorded because it won't even play the video at all.
Too many issues but generally the same problems they had two years ago and never bothered to fix.
Poorly ran company. They literally fail in every possible way. Its like they take a sad song and make it worse. With a Board of Directors that think 8 track and VHS still have a chance, and a short list of reviews on indeed tell me this is a sub-par place to work, and a sub-par app experience. Using the app proves these facts.
Hulu/Netflix/EVERYONE else works just fine on my large selection of hardware. Even the illegal pirate sites provide better service and they are free. 1983 called and wants its 1200 BAUD MODEM disconnected from the slow broken mess you are selling to people.
Sling is worst in service. I feel sad that I did not read the review here before but want to save others from my experience. I subscribed Sling 6 days before and app never worked. I updated several times but its keeps on hanging. My 7 day trial period was today and when i cancelled what I see is charge has already been made. I talked to their customer service which is not customer service at all, they are bunch of people with some lines provided to say on phone. They say you have been charged at 10:42 am and you unsubscribed at 11; 15 am so we will charge. VERY VERY Disappointing and UNPORFESSIONAL Sling. This is not America way. NEVER EVER SUBSCRIBE WITH KIND of COMPANY. Where customers are just used as tissues.
Bought a gift card I can't use it but they want me to pay an extra $90 untilt theyI get it figured out not gonna happen at the lady was reading a Teleprompter or something like a robot the whole time I just hung up on her finally talked to someone with some sense I'll just go to a different service tired of this ahi& every other month dealing with something that was not my fault that they want me to pay for my service twice cause my payment went past my due date no it didn't your gift card system is messed up AGAIN

I had a $50 gift card. I redeemed it a few days BEFORE my next billing date. I get an email a couple days later stating if I want to continue watching live tv... my gift card is expiring soon. I would need to update my account by adding a new credit card or another gift card!
I signed into my account and above my account details it stated I have service up until December 12,2017...
This isnt the first time they stole a gift card and store credit away from me. I honestly believed I made the mistake the first time during my free trial week.
Bottom line... Sling TV is nice to watch live tv (sometimes) at a decent price, but they are trained thieves who are taught to NEVER EVER refund a single paying customer. At this rate, I may as well go back to cable... Ill at least get decent customer service that arent afraid to CREDIT my account.

Signed up on November 9th for 7 free trial days, after playing with for a few hours found it NOT to be a good value to say the least, SO I CANCELED IT THE SAME DAY AND RECEIVED AN EMAIL CONFIRMATION STATING SUCH.( I signed up for Youtube TV, much better service a value for your money). TODAY I LOOKED AT MY CREDIT CARD TO STATEMENT AND SLING CHARGED ME EVEN THOUGH I CANCELED THE SAME DAY. I SHOULD OF EXPECTED THIS SINCE SLING IS OWNED BY DISH NETWORK... STAY AWAY!
