In literally 2 minutes, had a $19.99 replacement for my $120/mo cable. I don't like TV anymore, but Sling satisfies my wife's habit while she continues to quit too. Looked into 'long-range' digital antennas, but they're better suited for flatland folks.
I spent a lot of time on their site. I signed up to get locals as I am rural and antenna doesn't work well. After enrolling in service I find that I am required to buy an antenna to get local service. I had to go through a bunch of red tape to talk to a representative who informed me that I would have to get an airtv antenna for the local service. When I said I just signed up less than an hour ago and would like to cancel as I was basing my decision on local channels. I was told I would have to pay for the whole month regardless. I will be informing everyone of this so that others are not ripped off by a disreputable company.
Sling is a scam. They get you to sign up for a free offer and make canceling next to impossible. Just don't start... ever. Took 4 months to get rid of them and of course they wouldn't refund a penny. Another Comcast company scam
Cancelled this service in 2021. Reactivated my account by simply opening the app (I did not go into my account to reactivate but have a Sling button on my Roku remote) and continued to charge my account without my authorization or approval to access my bank account and would only refund one month. MAKE SURE TO TAKE YOUR CARD OFF FILE OR TO NEVER EVEN OPEN THE APP. Same complaint from another customer was filed with Better Business Bureau two weeks ago so I have done the same.
Tip for consumers:
Take your card off file when cancelling this service. Simply opening the app will reactivate your account even if it is closed immediately.

Be warned! Sling TV will trick you into ordering services/products that you do not want and had no intention of ordering. Their website is loaded with micro print agreements that you will click on locking you into bills that you cannot get out of. This company is a SCAM! They currently have a C rating on BBB with thousands of unresolved complaints. Further, Sling TV has an absolute no refund policy. It makes no difference to Sling TV if you are unhappy with your service or are tricked into ordering products/services that you do not want. The customer service is very rude and will do nothing to resolve your issue. STAY AWAY FROM SLING TV.
Constantly runs slow or forces our Roku tv's to restart. Upside is they do offer stations such as A&E, ID, Viceland and Discovery channel. If it wasn't for these few channels I'd just stick to Pluto Tv which is free and don't cause issues with my tv's.
Horrible customer service and product, stay away at all costs.
They scam you into starting service for an entire year and then it turns out the service isn't even compatible with your TV. Then they make you buy another device to hook up to your TV to force it to be compatible. Turns out the services aren't worth all this. You can't even change the channel with the remote, you have to go back to the home page and select the next channel you want to go to... EVERY TIME! The size of the screen doesn't even fill up the TV and there's no way to fix it. You go to cancel the service only to find out a month later that they already charged you for the whole year. You call back asking for a refund and they apologize and say they can't help you.
If this isn't the biggest commercial scam in the TV program industry I don't know what is.

I subscribed Sling Service only because Sling provided both Asianet and Surya Channels. Unfortunately soon after I subscribed Sling dropped Asianet channels. When I contacted customer care, they instructed they can't refund money. So I stuck with service for 1 year.
Secondly, video quality Sling is providing is very poor. Especially with Malayalam channels.
From my experience, I never ever go back to Sling's service.
Started Sling last Saturday. Couldn't watch it at all ever since then because of a 10-100 error. Tried uninstall/reinstall both mac and window PC. Even the Roku stick didn't work. Call customer service, the guy asked me to uninstall/reinstall again. Still didn't work. So I wanted to cancel. He said I need to return the Roku they sent me in order to get a full refund. But I have to pay for shipping and handling. Talked with manager, "Well, it is like any tv infomercials, they always say you have to pay shipping and handling." Really? This is not my fault. Your service sucks and I have to pay for it? Meet the description of bunch of scammer to me! I have never had such bad experience with any company like Sling.
We have sling TV via our Roku. We were able to pay $5 extra for the sports package. We are disappointed that Sling doesn't offer ABC and some other staple cable TV channels but we cut the cable cord and are saving $100+ a month subscribing to Sling.
I had the same experience as several others on here. I signed up for the free trial. On the last day, I was unable to log into my account -- told it had been locked and to try again in three hours. I reset my password just to be absolutely sure I was entering the correct one, and three hours later, I still was unable to log on. At that point I contacted customer service, but they had already charged my card for a month (at 3:01 a.m. Eastern time). I talked to a rep and supervisor and they both refused to give me a refund. DO NOT REGISTER FOR A FREE TRIAL HERE.
Sling absolutely SUCKS as a company. The old bait and switch Buy a $100 gift card and receive a free Roku. Sounds like a good deal, but what they didnt mention is even though you had been a preexisting paying customer, you have to prepay for 2 months ahead of time at the same time to qualify for the offer. I canceled the account right then and there at the end of the billing cycle.
Worst company ever... DON'T DO IT... ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. WHEN THERE IS A PROBLEM, THEY DO NOT TALK TO THEIR CUSTOMERS. THEY ARE NO BETTER THAN CABLE TV. THEY PLAY THE OLD S**ALL DAY AND EVERY DAY... FOR WEEKS! NOT WORTH THE MONEY!

I've been using sling for the last couple of months now, and it's almost not worth the $20/month with the frustration it has caused. First I thought it was an awful internet connection through Comcast, but literally everything else streams perfect EXCEPT for Sling TV. The only reason I haven't cancelled yet is because I like watching the news every morning, but it's getting harder to justify it as of recently.
My comcast bill was $200+/month so I was really excited about the idea of only keeping our internet and paying $20-25/month for our TV (which advertised we would get most of the channels we watched anyways), but we rarely watch it anymore. Between the Sling TV cutting out every few minutes and the pixelated resolution, I'd say you are getting exactly what you paid for, a cheap service. I wouldn't give them a point over 3 stars, but most nights I feel like they are more of a 2-star.
I bought a TV from Best Buy that came with a FREE month Sling TV trial. After I started using it, they charged my credit card for $44. I contacted the company and they refused to reimburse my money even thought I canceled the service the same day I requested the free trial. The company is a scam. I am not sure why a company with good reputation like Best Buy partnered up with Sling TV.
I tried sling tv, tried it for one day and cancelled it... they refused to give a refund even though they advertise that you can cancel at anytime and the service is prorated... don't believe them. Service is not what we expected... sounds much better than it is... buyer BEWARE! Also spent 30 minutes on phone trying to talk to someone about this... same couple of sentences repeated over and over... SLING IS NOT WHAT THEY ARE ADVERTISING IT AS.
Sling is the worst service you can buy. It is expensive and it does not live up to their hype. It is always buffering and the audio never syncs with the person on the screen, it is always behind. Not to mention that there is alway an error. I hate this service and I sling is the reason why people run back to cable.
I got a seven day trial to see if I liked it and I didn't and canceled it after a few days. I still got charged. I emailed the support team to cancel it for me and they said they did, and I still once again got charged the next month. My sister had asked me to use my card information to see if a show was there, and I let her and it wasn't on there so she canceled it right away, and I even emailed them to make sure it was canceled and told them to make sure any account I had with them was canceled and I got charged TWICE. Not happy with them at all. And I didn't get everything that was offered on the channel either. Definitely won't be using them again
I only subscribed to Sling.com for Wimbledon 2023, but after YEARS of dissatisfaction with ESPN, I have to say that Sling.com's coverage of Wimbledon 2023 was OUTSTANDING. I saw the BEST matches up close and personal compared to the diciest matches on ESPN on court 300. The only thing that surpasses Sling's coverage was HBO's coverage of Wimbledon years ago. That, too, was outstanding. I will subscribe to it every year going forward for Wimbledon. Thank you, Sling.com, for Wimbledon. Tennis is one of the few secret pleasures and you allowed me to watch the very best of it. Thank you kindly.
After just one hour after subscribing I tried to cancel since the streaming would boot me off every 10 minutes due to bein signed on a different device although that was not the case and they refused to refund the money. This IS A SCAM
You cannot watch anything without it skipping and buffering. Whether its the paid service or free, it does the same thing. If i could give a half star I would. Do better Sling TV!
If I could give less than half a star I would. I paid for the service to get the sports package and thought the streaming would be better if I paid for the service. But it was always freezing and had errors messages constantly. It makes it hard to watch anything and customer service is non existent. I switched back to the free version and it's not any better but at least it has 1 local channel and I'm no longer paying for a streaming service that doesn't work. Don't get it! DEFINITELY NOT worth it!
So all my devices are showing 9-400 after I sent my payment in. This is now day 2 of the error. All I get is this was turned over to engineers. Won't refund for my two days. I canceled and they won't refund for the month. I contacted Google pay in hopes to get refund. Will not tell me how long it will take to get error fixed. I have Uninstalled and reinstalled applications. I also changed my password.
Might be an acceptable service if only they could:
# Make transport controls work properly (FF,Rew,Play/Pause)**

# Make Navigating (Search, Guide, DVR, etc) more rational & user-friendly
# Offer more "Cloud" storage for a reasonable $ amount

Has buffering issues from time to time. But for the last two days, it's worse - blank blue screen when trying to go there, until it finally puts up an error message. Website: same story.
Don't waste money on this app. 35 dollars to cancel. Took my card fine but denied it on the company that handles their cancellations. Never saw a refund..

So, I called them and they tried to tell me that there verified slingtv Facebook account wasn't affiliated with sling TV. Seems pretty much Affiliated to me whenever they attempt to get new customers. But they won't help the old ones. Anyways, they won't help me. All they did was telling me that they were going to send a report to the back office. I asked them when I would hear from the back office and they said that I never would. I'm not an idiot. They're not going to do anything. They don't care about the customers that they do have. The service is getting cancelled
Cancelled still charged me said they cant give refund. Cant watch all it does is buffer. Then it dont even play the whole movie with out changing to something else.
