She offered a discount even though I expected to pay full price. Unfortunately I placed the order before she returned my message. When she heard, she had the discount credited to my PayPal account. I was charged for custom "Xpress Tabs" and two months later the product never arrived. I tried to email and call, the 800 number was disconnected and the Smartsign number *******700 and was put on an extremely long hold (over 15 minutes) until I gave up and hung up.

Ordered couple of months ago, still lost
I was ordering some signs for work (4) and needed something for the glass doors as well as the wooden doors. I worked with someone to get things put together and it was impossible to communicate. I had about 4 proofs before we finally got what we wanted. They then ended up sending us the wrong size. We were fine with sending back but then they did not provide return information. By the time I emailed back asking for it- they told me I was past their "21 day return policy". I would not recommend this place to anyone- especially if you need something outside of their go to signs.
I tried to order a sign from Smart signs 9 days ago. According to their site it should arrive at my house tomorrow. It's still has not even been made much less shipped. I called their 800 number today and was assured that they would check with the production team and leave me an email with an update by close of business today. It's now 6 p.m. no email definitely no sign. This order was time-sensitive to me. Smart signs very obviously spent a lot of money and time on Advertising. Too bad they didn't spend a little of that time on production. I do not recommend dealing with this company their customer service is subpar or in my case non-existent
Received sign made of wrong reflective material. I called customer service, they do not answer the phone. Finally made contact and they offered me a 15% discount which would be a higher cost than if I had ordered the material they sent me. I declined and requested a replacement. They have yet to send the replacement. When I call back in, again no answer. I use on line chat, they tell me they can call me in a few hours. I finally make contact again, they tell me it takes time to process the replacement order.

Smartsign.com has no idea how shipping works. They just send it with UPS and you figure it out!
They say they ship internationally, however they have no idea how this works!
It toke 1 month to ship 2 signs to spain. Eventually I had to sort things out with UPS to get the signs.

Was willing to help on an order but got nasty with me cause i questioned Jonathan on why when i spoke to a Steve about my artwork he didn't tell me the artwork was bad. That point would have avoided the situation so i told him to cancel my order and he hung up on me
I order a custom sign that I came wrong. Contact customer service by phone to return it, but they wont take it, by their company policies they don't accept returns, so they don't fix their mistakes or accept them even when they messed up.
I ordered two vertical address number signs to mount on either side of my mailbox post which has an 8 inch wide vinyl cover over a 4X4 post. This cover has an offset hole which positions over the front (street side) of the 4X4. I ordered the signs with the numbers centered so I could keep the mounting holes to the front of the sign so the screws would engage the 4X4, one on either side. SmartSign centered the numbers on the same side of each sign (these are double sided signs) rather than both sides of the sign therefore the mounting holes are towards the leading edge of each sign. When one of the signs is positioned for mounting, the holes are actually towards the rear of the post causing the mounting hardware to miss the underlying 4X4 post completely. The signs are 6 inches wide, the post less than 4. SmartSign offered a 10 percent discount over a month ago but I haven't received it.

Don't order a customizeed sign. SmartSign has trouble following simple requests even after a customer review and approval of the modified sign.
I ordered 6 aluminum reflective signs, the were exceptional, however there was a typo(my fault) I was happy as the typo wasn't bad at all. When learning of the mistake Smart Sign corrected the typo and sent me 6 new signs, Free,, I got the signs next day.

Smart Sign helped me get my message across for my business - everything was fully customizable to my needs and they had friendly customer service to answer all of my questions. They gave me a great deal and free shipping.
They processed a payment without my permission. I asked to have the order canceled and they hung up on me. I called back and asked to have my money returned, as to which they replied they didn't take my payment. They had no record of it. But my bank account had a payment going out for $121 to smartsign. So I called my bank and they are launching an investigation. Hopefully I get my money back.
A small sign, 19x12 inches, shouldn't take 4 months to make. The delivery estimate was 3.5 weeks from the order date. When the delivery date passed, I called the company and they said it would take an additional 3 MONTHS to complete the order. I canceled the order and still have not received my money back. I will find a local sign maker to fill my orders from now on.

They need to provide accurate production and shipping times. I was led to believe it would take 3 weeks to complete my order but after 4 weeks they said it would another 3 months.

I did not have the greatest experience with SmartSign. I ordered a sign for a friend for Christmas... nothing fancy, just an engraved plastic sign. The invoice indicated an estimated shipping date but I never received another email indicating shipping had occurred, so I wasn't sure if it was going to arrive before Christmas or not. It did show up on the 21st but unfortunately had two errors. The first two lines were underlined and there was one extra space on the top line, and two extra spaces on the bottom line, which not only looked sloppy it threw the wording off center. I contacted customer service by phone and then, at their request, followed up with an email which included photos of the error. I told the representative the sign was a gift for Christmas and he said they would try to get the replacement out to me in time. It took two days for that same representative to acknowledge my email and forward it to the production staff who made the error; apparently one of many subcontractors to whom they farm out the actual work. When I responded to the email and asked why it was taking so long when I was told every attempt would be made to get it to me by Christmas, I received a response -- 2 days later -- that said only, "I will let you know when your replacement has been shipped." 4 days later, and now AFTER Christmas, I finally received an email (from that same representative) that said the package had shipped. It arrived the very next day so it had shipped several days before I was contacted. I don't know if they have just that one guy in customer service, but I only dealt with him and he was quite unfriendly, seemed put-out by my call, and didn't seem to be very competent. Terrible Customer Service! There are tons of sites online that perform this basic service and next time I will most definitely be choosing another!
