All I would like is help to identify the ones that bloom. I've sent pictures and asked foe help with no response.
I ordered several over the winter. So I have a ton of NOID'S.
Very disappointed.
Tip for consumers:
It would be helpful to get the correct plant ordered. All Daylilies have a name. To get the correct daylily ordered would improve this company.
I am nearing 80, have learned from a long line of gardeners. In the winter months I love my garden catalogs, when boxes start to arrive mid March it gets hectic, however, one place you need to place a five alarm never order from these folks it is the above named folks.
My sister, another great gardener told me about Smokey's, and in checking out their catalog, I ordered $90 worth of plants via their on line order form. However, free postage for $100.00 order, so I decided to think about it and put it aside for a few weeks.
When I picked up the catalog, I went on line, I started a new order, my cart was empty and I followed the catalog and ordered $100++, gave them my Amex number and waited for the box. Two separate orders arrived. Plants were small, and as I unpacked I checked them off against my catalog selections, except I have two and three of some.
I called, and got a Southern drawl, I am from the South so we are ok. Essentially the order I never completed was added to the order I did complete. I asked did it not seem strange that my Amex number was only on one order. Then we lost that Southern congeniality, "why did you order if you did not have the money?" I asked for Supervisor to call me, no one has done so.
Now to the twigs received. None bloomed last year. Due to their size it would have been a miracle. I decided to move them to the cold frame, rather than put them in the garden. None will bloom this year, they are still very small. So caution is the password. Ordered lilies same time from Breck's and Michigan bulbs, both are in bloom now. As chance would have it, my sister received her package of twigs, and returned them as "not garden ready."
Tip for consumers:
Order small quantity to see how the Company products perform. Most garden products we use are from mail order Nurseries, this is one we will not utilize again.
Products used:
Ordered several lilies from Smokey’s Lily farm, purchased 2021, this year still no blooms. The plant size was disappointing, error in order put cost @ almost $190.00 when my intention (being frugal Suzy) was to get free shipping. Plants ordered from two other Garden Catalogs bloomed last summer, and are in bloom now. However those from Smokey’s will not bloom this year, definitely did not last year.
