We just got this little guy, he was in perfect condition and ate within hours of arrival. At first me and my partner were unsure about purchasing from snakes at sunset because of the reviews but the risk was well worth it. So far he seems in good health and was use to being handled. As far as tracking and packaging as soon as the order was placed and confirmed we didn't hear anything till the next day which made us worry. Thankfully Shipping was fast and when we opened the box the warmer was still in good shape as well. Overall pleased with the order and will update on the health of the snake if needed.
Bought three kings snakes from this guy, all were so infested with mites. I mean you could see them all over the snakes right off from opening the bags the snakes were in. Called this SOB and he told me it was my fault, and to top it off, he then hung up on me. Worst reptile guy I have bought from and I have had snakes for over 40 years. Find a reputable breeder, lots of them out there, this scum is the backyard breeder of reptiles. This guy does not care about reptiles or the people who buy from him. He cares about money only. Once he has your money, you are screwed.

I ordered a boa from this company guy on the phone was great very helpful his boss on the other hand is a rude piece of $#*! i wated over a week with nothing i face booked him and he was like i will not ship unless weather is above 30s i explained i get snakes all the time and everyones cut off is 15 degrees he called me a lier and acused me of hurting animals i told him look i paid u over a week ago and now im fighting with u for my snake he told me ppl have no problem wating till spring i said im not waiting he flipped on me and refunded me my money wich was the tied in a week long refund period
The snake was nice and smooth, big and healthy looking. I've always loved snakes and this one is no exception my daughter did get bitten and is now in hospital with in terminal condition. Womp womp

I contacted Snakes at Sunset inquiring about a snake that they had for sale on their website. I wanted to verify it was in stock, after I read all of the terrible reviews I found about them. MikeB responded to my inquiry that Saturday, and assured me they had it in stock I ordered the snake that same day, and it was to be shipped the following Tuesday. The day came for it to ship, and I received a notice from Snakes at Sunset that my order was refunded. I had to contact them to ask why, and MikeB told me the website sold me a snake that was not in stock. What?! You assured me it was in stock, created a shipping label through FedEx that was sent to me by FedEx, and when it came time to ship 3 days after I ordered it, then you realize it is not in stock?! When I complained about it, they posted my private emails that I sent to them on a public message board revealing my personal and private information to the public! Stay away from Snakes at Sunset! I should have headed all of the negative information I read about them!
I've been keeping reptiles since the early 90s and I've had some bad experiences over the years. Nothing compares to the unprofessional and non existent customer service. I ordered an animal on November 30th, the animal was suppose to ship Tuesday for a Wednesday delivery to the nearest FedEx Hub. I didn't receive an email confirming shipping or tracking info? So I asked towards the end of the day did you ship the animal, and I got no response! I sent numerous emails, non of which received a response, then a week later I get a random email stating "If you want the animal shipped to day please respond to the email. I said yes, please ship the animal, NOTHiNG! So at the 3rd week of no response I told them, just refund my money. They finally sent the refund, but it was $10 less than what I paid. So I asked them to send the $10, wait, because you're not going to believe this, but their response was "there's a $10 cancellation fee"! So you don't deliver the product that I purchased, I can't even rate their customer service, because it's non-existent! Never purchase from this organization, it was the most unprofessional interaction I've had in 30 years! How do you penalize the customer for your incompetence!

I placed an order of three turtles from these guys- an albino red ear slider, a pink belly side neck turtle, and lastly a spotted turtle. I got charged immediately, but never sent a confirmation email. I placed the order on Thursday11/19/2020 and sent them a message Monday 11/23/2020 asking what happened to my order. Never got a reply, so today Tuesday, 11/24/2020 I texted the number they advertise animals with. They said they had sent me an email that they didn't have the spotted turtles in stock at the moment (unlike what the website stated) and would ship out next week. Firstly, I received no such email. I checked every folder including spam, and there was none. I told them I wouldn't be able to receive them next week (I'm a delivery driver and work an average of 50-60 hours a week) and that I'd need to cancel. They said sure, but it would be a $10 cancellation fee. Give you $10 because you were incompetent and couldn't update your website, or actually send me an email? According to your website anything placed before 2 will be shipped out same day, anything after the next. Not a week or two later. I shouldn't have to pay the price for YOUR mistake. I guess I'll be filing a chargeback since you guys are too unprofessional to own up to you own mistakes and take care of your customers.
Bought two Indian spotted Turtles on line and never received them took my $134 no reply back no refund and can't get a hold of anyone
I ordered two snakes, an albino motley corn and a female ball python from them on a Monday for delivery on the upcoming Friday. I took a day off of work to ensure I'd be home to sign. I recieved an e mail saying they were shipped and got the tracking number on Thursday. Waited all day Friday and no deliveries. I called Fed ex to see what was the issue and they explained that they never recieved the package. I contacted snakes at sunset who then explained that they accidentally fed the snakes Thursday and couldn't ship them, but they never contacted me to explain this. I rescheduled delivery for the following Thursday and scheduled a half day at work to be home again. I get a message mid way through Wednesday that my order will ship, but the female ball python was no longer available and wanted to ship a Male instead. I explained I wanted the female because of the size difference and all they offered was for me to buy a female morph at full price which was over double the price of the one I ordered. I don't know how they managed to mess up so much on a single order, but I know I'll never do business with them. I canceled my order and will be going somewhere else.

I bought two Great Plains toads on the 3rd of Oct online! On snakes at sunset website. I read many sketchy reviews and thought why not? I placed my order and they shipped it Wednesday to have it arrive Thursday at fedex. And to my surprise when I arrived home, opened the box to my surprise. There was ONLY ONE HEATING PAD FOR TWO GREAT PLAINS TOADS! ONE! ONE! For Two Great Plains toad…. Wow and I'm their containers that they were in were only 4 tiny breathing holes…. 4?!?!?! For a great point toad. And the box didn't contain any holes whatsoever but one heating pad, shipped from Miami to California. What a $#*!ing joke! Oh best part, the website online and the shop are two different places and they both have different guidelines in handling the animals. The staff at the shop notice all the bad reviews but don't do anything about it, you wanna know why? Cause they don't CARE THEY JUST COLLECT THEIR PAYCHECK AND GO HOME HAPPY, while ppl who order online are getting scammed and they're just making bank! Another thing they have two different numbers to chat for those of you who ordered online :) here's the #to call *******953 text # is *******183. The person I spoke to just kept saying sorry, and that they've mentioned the bad reviews/packaging to their boss but still nothing is done about it, save your god damn money and don't waste time buying crap from here, chances are you receive a dead animal and no refund back! DO NOT order for Snakes at Sunset! I went on their site looking for two new hatchlings, a razorback and a southern painted to add to my tank. I had heard positive things from a friend of mine who had ordered so I figured it was all good. It has been a week and after taking my money the turtles still have not shipped! Both turtles showed up as "In stock" on their site, and I was not contacted immediately after my ordered stating anything wasn't available. 3 days after my order was placed I tried contacting them asking if the order had been shipped yet, there was not response from them. Finally after my 3rd attempt, 6 days after I had ordered and after I threatened wanting a full refund on the order I was given a answer. Basically Mike (yes he's really rude) said that the razorbacks were in stock but there were no painted turtles in stock when i ordered and he said they had just hatched and that they would be shipped out between monday and tuesday of this week. It is now Wednesday (8 days after my order) and there are still no signs of my turtles even being shipped out yet. My newest email requesting and update has not be answered either. I will never be ordering from them again, and will most likely be asking for a full refund. I DO NOT ADVISE ANYONE TO ORDER FROM THEM. Terrible customer service and slow and unpredictable shipping. I can't rate the animals health as I haven't received my animals. Hope this was helpful to any potential buyers. I will be sticking to Turtle source from now on.

I had reached out to this company via text about getting a 2020 baby corn snake. I got a response from them later in the day and they said they would send me pictures the next day of a couple available 2020 baby corns. Well I got the pics the next day and was disappointed. 2 of the snakes looked beautiful but were wayyyyy bigger then the two October of 2019 corns that I currently have. They had one that looked to be smaller so I chose that one. The day before it shipped, I wasn't overly happy with the coloring so I asked if they had any other 2020 babies in the same price range as I had already paid. They sent a pic of it and it was just in aspen so I couldn't tell how big it was. I had always wanted a coral ghost corn so I chose to switch. They said it was hatched about Jan 2020.
Long story short, I got the baby and was quite surprised to find out it was the size of my female that was hatched in October. When i reached out to them, they said it may have been a Dec of 2019 or late 2019 baby. The reason I wanted a 2020 baby is because i had a smaller cage and also XS pinkies that I can't feed my others because they are two small and now I can't do anything with them and I also had to spend extra money to get a bigger tank since the one I had was clearly way to small. They did offer to have me send him back but he is beautiful and I felt sending him back was not fair to him since he did nothing wrong. I literally feel this company just wanted money and didn't pay attention to what I wanted as the customer. They did show me 2 babies that I feel were 2018 babies since they were double the size of what I already had. I would not purchase another snake from this company nor would I recommend them to anyone else.
First off, this Mike guy is an arrogant d! Ck! They provide TERRIBLE customer service and treat everyone like they're scammers out to screw them over from the beginning. He talks to you like you're bothering him and he wants to keep his answers short as if he wants to go as soon as possible. He is incredibly rude to top it off. They have very poor communication. He never called to discuss a delivery date and NEVER sent me a tracking number. I emailed and asked for a tracking number, to ensure I would be home but he never even bothered replying to me. He does NOT care about the animals he sells AT ALL. He basically called me a liar even after I sent him photos of my snake, he acted like I was only out to get my money back! I don't care about the 100+$ they basically stole. He can keep it, because with the reputation hes gaining online, he'll need it when he goes out of business. He said my snake looked "alive" so I called a TRUSTED local breeder and asked if he would come by and take a look (telling him just keep the money and basically ending the conversation), after all i brought the snake because I wanted it. If there was a chance of saving it, i DEFINITELY wouldn't have sent it back to those people. He replied like I was lying and just wanted money back even though i told him just keep it!? Im not him, I couldnt care less about the money, Im just hoping my snake DOES turn out okay. If that was the case I would have still left very positive feedback but his attitude and service made me write this review. Ive never had a transaction go so horrible, and I own many different species of snakes purchased from MANY resources. Never again will I order from these INCOMPETENT, RUDE people. I suggest you pay just a bit extra and purchase from BHB Reptiles, BigAppleHerp, or Don Soderberg. They are amazing and truly care about their animals. This man needs to realize not everyone is trying to scam his so called company, because thats NO way to get returning customers. He should also work on his people skills because they are terrible! He has this "Im blunt, you must earn my respect attitude" you need to show respect to earn it!
