I have limited experience with SoundCloud but so far I love it. Someone sent me a link to a playlist of work music. I've listened to it at least 20 times now. Usually there are no connectivity issues and the service works well. I'm looking to exploring what else is possible.
In deleting a second account, my main account was also deleted. So all my tracks (yes, I can reupload them) and all comments, plays etc. all gone. More importantly, all recent links sent to media companies, song opportunities etc. will no longer work. Tried every way to urgently contact support, no joy. The chat window has remained open on a previous ticket (which hasn't been answered) so I can't start a new ticket. Have tried but no response. Tried Instagram, no response. This cancellation also cancelled Next Pro but an email acknowledged that it still had months to run and had a reactivate button. The reactivate button did not work, so at this time I have a new account using the previous title, linked to the same email, but none of the previous content and no Next Pro. Yes, I'm pi**ed off!
I have previously used other streaming programs and have found SoundCloud really easy to use. I love that when you follow an artist it has tracks and sets from them making it really easy to just press play without going to the trouble of creating a playlist. Would be amazing if we had unlimited data, sometimes it can take a while to load.
You can't simply expect more from a music app. From Jazz to Trance, it's all in there. The best thing about it is that it's absolutely free and I hope it will always be.
Only aspect that needs to be improved is more originals instead of remixes and covers.
Excellent for listening to new music from all over the world. Anyone can listen to the tracks, even without an account. Good place to find new artists that you otherwise might miss, especially newly started or indie artists that have few other ways of promoting themselves.
Sticking to this service since the first time I was introduced to it - loads of great music available for free. It does not have all the genres, but for instance my favourite Techno is always there with various performers and types of style. Great!
The best way to get your music heard (especially for free). Or at least a great starting point. Other sites like "reverbnation" or "bandcamp" just don't seem to have the volume that SC does. Although those sites have their own specialties, SC is at the top of the music streaming game. I prefer it over those and spotify because it is the easiest way to find other underground artists and form relationships that both parties can benefit from.
I absolutely love soundcloud. It is the best music website of our time. Uploading songs are painless. You can share music publicly or keep it private. The coolest feature is that when you listen to a song you see the wavelengths of the entire song. Users can click on exact seconds of the song and make comments. As the song plays the comments will pop up as the time elapses them. Very cool and constructive for people who create music.
So this is nice if you want to record your own music and get out to the people. I listen to original music by some of my fave local bands on here. But that's it. All my other music listening is on Spotify. Big name bands do not have their music on SoundCloud.
This wonderful program was advised by my friend.
I had before not bad program for downloading music, but when I started using the Sound Cloud, I deleted it. I really like the assortment of music, that it is divided into categories. In my playlist is playing now - Housing Corp - Trump Guest Mix
I paid for a proplan account and am unable to access my profile. Can't get a hold of Soundcloud but they are still taking money from my account. They provide links for customer service that don't exist. Something is definitely going on.
I have been with Soundcloud for years now and have many tracks uploaded, all my own music. Then recently they blocked me, there login security deemed I was a Robot. To add to that Google is blocking Soundcloud because IT deems Soundcloud unsafe. Result: I have no way of contacting Soundcloud to remove my account. My profile is compromised by hackers within the site and I now have no control over my profile. Soundcloud guards itself like Google from any chance of contacting them. I can now see why Soundcloud has had so many legal actions against them. Disgraceful. I am just glad I never paid for premium.
Does anyone listen to soundcloud anymore, since they got rid of the dashboard function where you could listen to new trax by friend artists it seems a bit pointless.if anybody knows how you can listen to new trax from friends please enlighten me
This site allows artists to showcase the music they worked so hard to produce! You can easily search for an artists name and within seconds you are able to view the artists profile, tracks, or comments to other users. It is such a blessing for up-an-coming artists and also amazing for the fans. The idea that soundcloud has founded themselves upon has allowed me the pleasure of listening to thousands of different artists. It has increased my understanding of the different genres of music and had a tremendous contribution in the foundation of my website. Very thankful for this company and it's services, no complaints!
Very poor quality music, commercials even paying. Repeat of lost music and again NO customer service
* may I add after a commercial they mention pandora why? Are they affiliated?! Guy says yes but but they never say it anywhere other than in the non paying to I'll never give my money to them as they are now, thanks for causing a neg. Vibe in my life I sad very sad
They used to be great, now they are the worst.
You used to be able to build a community, now they all leave due to the ads, if you create music use Bandcamp or Spotify, you might even make some money.
The fact they seem loose people's accounts and then have absolutely no customer service is dire and I'm now in a place where all my hours of work are wasted and can get no response from them.
Stay away, a failed enterprise.
Soundcloud is a great website for sharing music with others, but their service- dare I say- is horrible.
4 months ago. My Soundcloud account suddenly disappeared. I have checked all the help forums on how to get my account back. Nothing. If you need to post a problem on the forums, you need an account. I sent 3 emails to them. All three replies were automated and were about something about not being able to reply quickly due to COVID. I have waited 4 months. Either Soundcloud is a sick company ran by bots or the people working there are not 'working'.
One more thing- their help service links are total baloney and don't exist. Such a bad company.
Soundcloud is a good streaming service where you can share your music for free but I have to say that the music quality is pretty bad and the adds that come with the free membership between almost every single song you listen are pretty annoying.
This is one of the shadiest companies I've ever encountered. I've been their customer for years, but then they decided to double charge me. After providing the customer support with all the proof of multiple transactions, they still refuse me to give me my money back. If you want your money to be stolen - go ahead, subscribe to soundcloud, else stay away as far as you can!
I love their mobile app, very easy to work with. However, this service is for amateur and beginner artists (as already mentioned), there are no popular artists out there. A good chance for those who want to share their work, but not a good place to look for top-quality bands.
I used to be an avid user of SoundCloud. It was nice getting to listen to more low-key music on there but it's just out of date when it comes to Spotify. Spotify's streaming services are entirely smoother and their algorithms on their radios/stations have added so much more music to my playlists.
Soundcloud also froze my account about a week ago for unforeseen reasons which was the cherry on top for me. It was a nice trip SoundCloud.
It would be better if we have the possibility to upload about 8 hours of music as a free user, in spite of the fact that I am grateful to SoundCloud for what they do for us, and I think many people don't have the necessary resources to pay for a pro account. But it's a good app.
Tried cancelling... haven't used in three months but they won't let us cancel. Finally got a call back from their invisible customer service only to be told that Iwould have to pay $99 to stop service... WTF... no contract! Filing complaint with whoever I can. Will cost me $34 a month to stop payment to them.
I'm only been using the free account so my use of it is only limited. But so far, I'm loving it. It is really a great platform to those frustrated singer like me who wants to get noticed:)
Keep it up Soundcloud!
From what I've heard, they make it almost impossible to cancel your subscription. The main problem is that almost anything under a record label you have to pay $10 a month to listen to, and some songs, such as "I want you" by savage garden are blocked in certain countries, so you can't listen to those, period. I came on to make anime playlists, and for Jojo's bizzare adventure, a lot of their opening themes are gone from spotify, so you can only find them on soundcloud. If you want to write your own music, go to spotify or Amazon music. No one should use soundcloud, period
Soundcloud is a music streaming service where you can listen to music you've uploaded or music that you've discovered. It's a great music discovery platform and one of the most popular sites for free music. I like it because you can find all the genres there and young creators who make astonishing music but are not that popular yet. I have Spotify too, but I use Soundcloud more often.
This is easily the best music app around
The trance tracks:
Adam faith. Darius odonnell. Armin van buuren. To mention a few are just different level
The apps easy to use, has a massive collection and something for everyone also reasonably priced. Whoever thought this up is obviously pure genius.
