I notified Soundcloud that my son, a minor, created an account and I requested the account be removed and any information deleted. A member of the Soundcloud Trust and Safety Team notified me that I would have to provide a photograph of my license to prove that I was the father. What a joke. Their policy terms state a subscriber must be either 18 years of age or more or 16 years of age and reside in the European Union. I guess they don't check for the age before subscribing, rather require proof from a parent to verify legitimacy of a parent. What a crap company. Trust and Safety Team, what a joke. I paid 66 Euro for the Next Pro plan. It was supposed to be 50% off. The next years renewal price is 99 Euro, so, clearly false advertising there. I got one album to upload and get processed for distribution but it was reject because they said it had no lyrics and was marked as Not Explicit. Every song on the album has lyrics. So, clearly they had their heads up there a$ses when they did that review. Trying to reach customer service is nearly impossible. I have tried to upload and monetize two other albums that simply won't work because the server errors out every time. After spending about 8 hours trying to get any of it to work, I am left wanting my money back. It states there is a 30 day money back guarantee but that seems impossible to get. I feel ripped off. They shouldn't be advertising a service they clearly do not have working yet. All I get is "We're having trouble reaching our servers"

Not user friendly or impressed by it! I've been using Pandora for a while and i see no difference give or take a few songs on both apps they all have same features i also used Soundcloud on my Serato dj and its a mission to download songs to your computer then to the dj set. The streaming part is okay but the history disappears I'll keep Pandora for now and just keep downloading songs from different sources for my dj set. One more thing canceling subscription was a mission to had to YouTube it that's bad!

Considering that I have tons of music apps it is very difficult to write this review when I keep comparing it with the others. I really like it but sometimes I wish it would come up with some favs suggestions like pandora even though pandora doesn't let you find your own which is a big minus from soundccloud.

They make you pay to have high quality music streaming. When you upload music on there, it completely ruins the audio, and they have no clue how to make a working copyright system. Every time I request for monetization on songs that I rightfully own, they get taken down until I email SoundCloud showing proof that I own the music. The only reason I would recommend this website is because it can be good for artists that are starting out. Other than that this platform sucks

Avoid! Avoid! Avoid! They won't let you cancel your plan! I've spent hours trying to cancel and they make it impossible to do. Don't even think about signing up with Soundcloud. They are going to f you over too!

Very cool site for "moving" music across the web. Soundcloud lets you upload, send, share, and download music. Although geared towards aspiring artists hoping to share their music, the site makes it very easy for casual users to receive tunes from their friends, browse or play hosted files, and download the ones they want. The embedded player is simple, slick, and customizable. There is also no limit to the file size you want to upload to the cloud! Definitely worth checking out -- a much neater, music-focused alternative to rapidshare or dropbox.

No videos or varied kinds of real music. The selections were either monotoned, slow & boring or really aggravating, screechy noise that really got on my nerves, especially what they picked especially for me! I never even heard of most of the "supposed" artists.

This is the best program was advice by my friend. I spent a whole night listening EDM and 2 hours progressive music. I really like the assortment of music. I have created my new playlist that adds my favorite kinds of music. A source of a new club music for me.

My experience with the online music streaming web service Soundcloud.com has been very good and enjoy listening on it.Soundcloud.com is one the best music streaming services in the world as it has music from all the world all the major artists in music industry.

Low value for artists with needing to pay to even monetise your music and with a max upload time of 180 minutes before paying, terribly low royalty rates per view, infested with bots/promo ad accounts, site works great for listeners on the functional end though. So it might not be worth using as an artist, I still use it but I only just about break even with over 500 monetised views a day on a channel. Best bet in my view is to mainly focus on distribution through DistroKid or something and YouTube manual uploading for more value. Yes I understand it's their website and they can chose to do what they want, but there has been a lot of bad decisions of late.

I've mistyped my artist name while distributing my first release... big mistake, as there is no one replying to my e-mails. No one is acknowledging anything I say. I've been submitting tickets that no one reacts to. Then I decided to e-mail them and the automated response says "the best way to reach us is through the ticket system". Like ok wtf. It's so frustrating when all you receive is silence!
I'm totally leaving soundcloud and will never pay again for their $#*!ty services. Also their masterisation algorithms are quite crappy. I wish soundcloud was a real person who I could annoy back.
I've started my official music career with the wrong name and now I can't change it. Really not a great beginning lol.
Anyway, If you wanna release music to other platforms, it's probably best to use a distributor that is responsive. Just in case you need something changed.

I have had support tickets in that have been unanswered for weeks. I am currently trying to switch to a new distributor and now have multiple tracks upload to my accounts because Soundcloud won't respond to my tickets.

Let's also not forget about the predatory theft of 20% of your royalties. I only used soundcloud because the barrier to entry was low and now I am realizing that have done this to steal ignorant musicians like myself royalties. 20%?!? This service is theft.

I would recommend this service to my worst enemy and thats it.

SoundCloud GO is right up there with the best music apps.

There a few minor improvements; better layout for albums and playlists and scroll wheels.

With these minor improvements it would easily be in the top 3 music apps!

You have made a lot of your tracks only available with SoundCloud go. I've had this app for about 2yrs now. I've been building up my playlists. I'm not, not at all, happy about how much of these songs have become unavailable. All my tracks started as free, now approximately 90% of my tracks require SoundCloud go. This is ridiculous. I'm very unhappy with your app at the moment and I'm tempted to uninstall. Please take these tracks off SoundCloud go, perhaps I'll change my mind. I hope I've been clear enough.

I've always been an avid soundcloud fan and never had any problems. However, I decided to try the free trial of Go and am very disappointed. I didn't really feel it was worth the money, so I went to cancel my subscription before the 30 days were over. However, when I went to the manage subscriptions page, there was NO way to edit my account to disable go. I looked for so long for a way to contact soundcloud, however there was only an international phone number and FAQs. I took me two days just to hunt down the customer service email. After emailing, I was responded to with automatic reply telling me to refer back to the FAQ page. Great. Then, when finally contacting a human being, I was told I was not going to be refunded for ONE day over of soundcloud Go even though I had been trying to cancel since before the deadline. Definitely not using soundcloud anymore. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND

****FRAUD SERVICE OF NOTE**** I have been trying get access to my account and ut wont let me. Even if I use my HTTP link as it suggests. No support service, just a watered down version of advise and robotics used to fool the unsuspecting customer. They have been debiting my account for months and I cant even cancel my subscription as they wont allow me access to my account. I am so disgusted as an artist at these scammers. I don't even get a statement of purchase for all the debits that they have been doing!

Soundcloud not only lets you post only 4 hours worth of music, but it wiped ALL, and i am not joking, but all my music and if you go pro it only gives you 6 hours. Why cant it just be unlimited do you can get your music out there? All i want to do is make music and make something good. I spent a whole nights giving credit to my mixes, that are 2 hours long to all the artists and to find it all gone, and my album. I say $#*! SOUNDCLOUD. Stay Away!

I used to like soundcloud but the fact that they added ADS is so ridiculous. It was free so all these years then all of a sudden we just HAD to get ads. I'm not paying to listen to remixes and remakes to songs Im just fricken not lol you already have the up to date songs on a 30 second time limit soooo I have to pay to listen to full songs AND not have ads? Get out of here. I will pay for something better like Spotify. Seriously.

The site itself is great, and I love discovering new artists on it, but the problem is with the app. It's slow, laggy, and force-stops most of the time. I uninstalled it, because of this problem, and the mobile site is no better.

This app is the worst app out there. Its worse than the sound of lambs being slaughtered. I am disgusted by the fact they do not give refunds to the poor helpless people who just wanted the 3 months for £1. Because there are no refunds and i wasnt able to cancel my subscription in time it has taken the money out my account which i dont even think I have so I will now go into overdraft and then have to pay a fine and also because of this i am not going to be able to eat tonight or for the next few days becuase i now have no money. So congratulations soundcloud you bunch of gadgy arseholes with ur fingers so high up ur own ares you couldny give two $#*!es about how the other half may live.
