I received a text at 4am, the day before that my connecting flight was canceled, which meant I would fly from Baltimore to Chicago and then have no flight from Chicago to San Diego.
I attempted to change my flight on the app, which was highly recommended on that platform, however, the app kept issuing an error message that I needed to call them.
I waited on hold for one hour and forty eight minutes and the call was disconnected on their end. I utilized GetHuman website to call for me and proceeded to wait on hold for two hours and thirty minutes for the call to be dropped again from their end.
During both calls, I continued to attempt to change my flight om the app and received the error message that the itinerary could not be priced. I watched as all remaining flights disappeared while I was holding.
I ended up canceling my flight completely as this was the only measure available online and received travel funds. I purchased a new flight from another airline, costing me an additional four hundred dollars. I am also losing 2 days of income as I won't be paid for the time away from work.
Southwest did absolutely nothing to assist me.
