This site worked for me in the past. As a matter of facts, it is my second favorite dating site after Mingle2day so I don't agree with all of the negative reviews people are posting on here. It takes some time and patience but it works or at least worked for me.
Speeddate site is a total SCAM. I wished i would have read the reviews before buying a $39.95 one month subscription. They monitor your emails and not able to get any good responses because cannot leave my regular email to the women. Someone should start seeing these pricks that initiated it.

This was the a terrible experience. A $10 trial ended up costing us $90. Customer services representatives was rude, nasty. Fake friend requests and spam emails. Received $190.00 charge out of nowhere!
They're scammers, like other websites, they'll provide you with an option to try it for a few days by paying a small fee. However, after I paid the fee for just a trial period, they went ahead and utilized my debit card information to withdraw over $200.00 out of my account. When I spoke with their customer service on the phone, the representative who was a very cold and rude lady would not even look into refunding my money. When I asked to speak with her supervisor, she said she was the supervisor and pretty much refused to even listen to any pleas I made. These people are scammers.
I learned a long time ago not to get your hopes up on online dating sites but if you remain realistic you can avoid disappointment and it makes arranging dates, when they do happen, even more special. Ive had dates on wejustfit.com, SpeedDate, POF, etc. They do happen you just have to put in some work and be patient and positive. In short, this site is worth a try if you keep an open mind.
I dont pay for it, but I wondered why there r girls sending me message to my number. At first, they said hi; then they told me they r from Texas but then right now r in Nigeria taking care of granny. And they started to tell life story how their parents were dead for various reasons. They called me baby because they complimented me saying that "you are so handsome"; then after some time, they asked for help, in other words: money. How funny. What an idiot joke they made.
At no point is there any concern or focus on anything other than credit card Data, subscription or revenue generation. They adhere to virtually no proximity guidelines and do not allow for removal or revocation of subscription unless a member jumps through several well hidden hoops. I have yet to find a way to remove or cancel my membership profile, remove my Bank Card data, obtain any response from their support link, adjust my preferences or even unsubscribe from their emails.
Gave this a shot expecting fireworks. I know a few people who have found love on SpeedDate but it has not happened for me im afraid. I've switched over to WeJustFit.com now and that is looking more promising already. I guess it all comes down to the membership levels in the area your in and this just so happens to be better for me. Hope that helps, thanks for reading.

Steer clear! If you should enter any info, I verified for. 99. Later, found they had charged me for a one year subscription for $155.40. Spread the word, this is a sight to avoid at all costs, I'm surprised WOT did not warn me. I will correct this too. Report to WOT for those that subscribe to this sight warning service.
They transfer my profile from datehookup.com to speeddate.com without my consent. I did not know it until sometime later because I have a difference email address use for dating only. When I realized later that they had posted my pictures with the profile to their website. I am very upset and angry about what they did. Dating on website might be fun and open for a lot of people, but for some people like me, I take it more seriously. I don't like they violated my right. They used my profile for their benefit which help them look good for having so "many" members. When I got in their site, I had already had 66 emails and 177 men liked me? I did not know how long they had used me as their members? When I tried to take a look, they blocked the emails unless I paid. It took me sometime to figure out how to delete my pictures. Bad business practice!
Nothing but a total scam site! Most of the profiles are fake and if they're not then they're really ugly! If you just want to have fun and chat with someone who may be a man anyway or a totally different person from another country like probably Ghana, Nigeria or Lagos or whatever. Believe me you will NEVER meet anybody from here. One way to tell is by there age and ethnicity. Ask how long they've lived where their profile says and if that's where they live now. Some are photos of models and keep changing their location with new photos. Their messages are garbled and words are mispelled a lot. They will want you to leave the site and communicate by email or text. If you're a stupid fool you'll do it. So go ahead take the chance and find out yourself.
A very high turnover rate - at least of attractive women- today they are online- in two days- no longer available- lotsa pretty pictures- of a woman whose profile states she is 51- who looks not a day older than 35 - and I recognized a few porn-star pics on here as well- but maybe u cannot really fault Speed-date for that? - Not- that I would ever watch porn- that is- lol. It is easy to see the few authentic postings- and the pics they post- sure do explain why they are still on here- and will always be
I was also not luck on SpeedDate.com. My advise: Rather use well estbalished sites like Mingle2day.com (or if you have more money to spend match.com). At least you know what you get when you join them.
I just begin a paid membership for a month last week but I have tried to get on it all morning and it will not let me. Said password was wrong and would send me info to my email. I have tried dozens of times but no emails. How do i access my account? Getting frustrated cause there hasn't been anything to help me get on site.
I registered on the site for one month only, as I just wanted to give it a try and was curious to find out who was trying to contact me and who liked me. Without paying, I could not open my mailbox, as can be expected. After some time, however, I became suspicious of their service as every time I logged on to see what's happening on the site, it was always the same 8 guys online. Now, it is realistic that these guys are always online, any time of the day, do not have other engagements, juts to sit in front of the computer? And how come there are no new members joining? And when I tried to change the search criteria, to extend my search to other cities in the region, the system would not let me. There is simply no such option. So I got stuck with the usual 8 fake guys to select from. I cancelled my subscription some time ago, but having read the other horrifying reports about members' credit cards being charged unlawfully, I think it would be a good idea to notifiy my bank...
Tip for consumers:
Don't use the site, it has fake profiles....it offers the same few people at all times to choose from for an entire European capital...they seem to be always online, and rearely offline, which is higly unrealistic
I signed up for a one-month... guess what? They billed me for a year. I said... what-the-hell, and tried it for about three months, off and on. It's one of the worst-rendered websites I've seen; probably the worst dating website out there. It's slow. It's clumsy. It's annoying. So on July 19,2011 I wrote to cancel, but unfortunately, that was three days after my anniversary date and they auto-renewed me. When I called to ask for a refund, the CSM said that they were "unable of offer" a full refund. When I cordially suggested that SD remove its auto-renew feature, I was told that "a lot of sites do that". If you haven't subscribed to SpeedDate... DON'T! I've met a lot of wonderful people through PlentyOfFish.com, and it's absolutely free.
I enrolled for the three-day trial, but prior to the three days ending, one month's membership fee ($49.99) was withdrawn from my bank account. I contested it and requested a refund, but speeddate.com refused. The site is terrible and it is a scam. DO NOT USE THIS SITE!
Tip for consumers:
DO NOT USE THIS SITE!
I agree this is a scam site and can't even get one it. They send a password to my email that won't even work. Yep they nailed me $155.00 and only wanted to try it for a month. Anyone know if there is a class action suit against this site? If not there should be the site is a real joke.
I'm a journalist writing a story about SpeedDate.com. There is far more to this story than people realize, although I'm not at liberty to say at this time. I can say it involves the US Federal Dept of Justice and the FBI.
I'm writing an article about this company and on some of the scams they have perpetrated. I would therefore like to speak with you for an interview about your experiences. The only way to stop this from happening to other people is to stop them.
Please contact me at: *******@outlook.com so I may get your input. I do not have to use your name if you are uncomfortable with that.
Thank you and appreciate your help.

Tip for consumers:
NO NOT USE. A SCAM. Please see above.
SpeedDate.com is a complete scam nowadays. It used to be a good site in the past. I dated someone I met on that site a couple ov years ago. Now, it's full of fake profiles.
Try friggr.com instead. It is completely free.
I cant say Ive been blown away by SpeedDate. The app is good and the site is easy enough to use, but these things are pretty standard now. The actual results have been mixed some limited success and a lot of rejection. The girls definitely seem genuine, which is a big plus, Im just not really getting anywhere with most of them. I used to use WeJustFit.com but with my 6 mnth membership coming to an end I decided to shop around for a few weeks. Overall I do like SpeedDate, but think Ill be going back to WJF again to get my average back up - better the devil you know, as they say!
The site seems to be ok but IMO nothing compares to Mingle2day or Chemistry. I hoined and felt comfortable using it but I am missing some functions which other sites offer. Another issue is that many profiles seem to be inactive. Not really sure how long ot takes to actaully meet someone. I'd rate it a little above average but it did not really convince me.
What a load of crap that speeddate is, yes to right its a scamming site, sad really that these scamming sites are allowed.
Yes people do get paid to talk with you, then once you've joined you don't hear from these people again, save your cash, look around for a site that has good reviews...
I work in London once a month and always seem to do better with getting replies from people down there. The rest of the time im in Stockport and can actually go weeks on this site without a single reply from outside London, not a word of a lie. Definitely going back to WeJustFit from next month as my work dont need me in London as much, so just doesnt make sense to stay on this site much longer
I meet my girlfriend through this website 4 yrs ago. And i just wanted to take time out to say thank you. If it wasn't for speed date i would not have meet the woman of my dreams. Thanks
