I've flown Spirit a few times. It's convenient from where I live and cheaper than other lines but... If you are a person larger than 5'9 or someone that weighs over 250 I would not go on a long flight with Spirit. I'm only 5' and I was very snug. There are pros and cons as with anything but I felt obligated to let fliers know if you are big might want to go with another airline. Safe travels.
Flight cancelled cuz crew didn't show up. Supervisor told us no flights till same time next day. Found four flights before that. Tried to give us no compensation since we were local - no hotel room since we could go home. Super rude employees. Total ripoff. Ruined our trip. I will tell everyone I know to avoid spirit air at all costs.
Spirit airlines is a JOKE! I had reservations made about 3 weeks ago and Spirit decided to change the times and not just by a few minutes but by 14 hours later. Obviously that wont work for me so I have to cancel the reservation and rebook (with another airline) for three times as much. This is what Spirit does to get out of a reservation so they can make up the money of rising fuel prices. They change it so the reservation doesn't work for you and you're forced to cancel and pay more..
If you are using them for a ride-like a taxi, I guess they're fine. If you are using them for travel, as in your going somewhere to stay and have luggage, just go with another airline. You'll end up paying the same after the seat and luggage fees.
Ok flight was cancelled due to weather but they charge you for carryoN luggage they say if you do it online it's cheaper but it's impossible to do it on line they ask for a password that doesn't exist and they will email it to you and they don't then at the gate I was charged 55 dlrs going and because I did it coming back at the gate it was 65 dlrs and the rude girl said if I don't do it before plane starts to board it will b 100 dlrs and if I didn't have the money I WOULDNT get on the plan horrable this is after I was stranded at airport had to get a room and leave next day don't let this airline fool you what they say is cheep they make up in carryoN luggage
The prices for tickets are affordable and always on time. It is great for college students who need to come home for holidays.
The offers are more realistic than other websites. I also like the way the site illustrates the information to give details of the flights.
As long as you know what is included and what you need to pay for you can get a great deal on many routes.
