My husband and I decided to be Chuckie and Tiffany Valentine for Halloween. His overalls were really big they was a large/extra large, but we pinned it up and we made it work overall. Very good quality.
For as long as i can remember, spirit Halloween was one of the best places to be as a teenager out of high school on a weekend with your friends. Now that I am an adult I see things differently. The products they sell even the most expensive will last maybe 2 years tops! So if I spent 500 on a animatronic its trash in 2 years. Not only is this a environmental disaster its a money scheme. Sprit Halloween does this on purpose, it is their financial expectation and built into their business model. Spirit Halloween, it does not have to be this way! You and your executives and L1's can change this and make it great again!
I had a themed wedding to go to Sunday. On that week (Wednesday afternoon) I order a costume and paid extra to make sure it would come in time. $20 for 2 day Priority Express shipping which delivers on Sundays. So I was set no matter what. I noticed Friday morning when checking the tracking they had shipped it Priority mail and that it would not arrive until Monday. Not only is this not on time, it is not express since it USPS guarantees 2-3 delivery at the maximum.
I reach out to customer service through their online chat looking for some easy solutions to this error on their part but I end up getting in a circular argument for hours of how they did in fact ship it express. I sent them all the evidence in photos, their own shipping charts, links and even the FAQ from the main shipping site. None of the evidence was good enough and I even got the response "We couldn't download your info due to weather issues impacting the internet connection."
In the end somehow it was evidence vs their word. I kept pushing the evidence to the point the chat staff disconnected on me - must have been the weather: p
Needless to say, it got nowhere, the package arrived Monday and I ended up paying return shipping for $16 more dollars. It could have been easily solved had they actually were interested in doing their jobs. That was an expensive $36 headache I had to endure - Never ordering from them again.

I bought this Posable Dummy Prop 6 years ago and only used it twice. As I pulled it out of the box to use this year, the fabric disintegrated in my hands and the head came out of its torso. NOT THE LOOK I WAS GOING FOR! The material used to construct the dummy is obviously faulty so I figured Spirit would certainly replace it, especially since it is still being sold in their stores. I WAS WRONG. They would not even consider replacement because I had purchased it so long ago. This is a simple low-cost item that they could have easily replaced, instead of doing the right thing they ignored the poor quality of their product and lost a good customer. I WILL NOT BE DOING BUSINESS WITH SPIRIT HALLOWEEN ANYMORE.

After ordering Halloween decorations from Spirit Halloween 6 days before Halloween with two day shipping, Spirit loses the package and doesn't get it to the USPS until October 30th for delivery in November. After being on hold for 45 minutes, Spirit would not refund the order because they think it is the USPS fault eventhough Spirit didn't get them the package for 5 days. Customer service was rude and unhelpful, especially the manager Frank. Their policies only benefit the company at the cost of the consumer. Why would they not refund the order for Halloween decorations, when they can't process it for 5 days in their warehouse? Why can't they refund the money when the consumer doesn't want the package after Halloween. The company is horrible to deal with and people should beware of Spirit. Going forward, Amazon, Target, Walmart, and Home Depot are all better options.
I ordered a costume for my son on Saturday, October 10th and paid for standard shipping and was quoted 6 business days of when I would receive this package. Today is October the 20th and I have yet to receive the costume I paid almost $60 for! When I look up the order to track the package, it shows 'in transit' with no location or estimated time of delivery. I called their customer service hotline today when they opened and waiting 20 minutes before speaking to a representative. She pulls up my order and proceeds to tell me it's in South Haven Mississippi and has been since last Thursday and that I should receive this by this coming weekend (I live in GA). This is UNACCEPTABLE and the fact she asked me when I needed this by was also ridiculous! For the money you pay, the shipping shouldn't be this big an issue. They use Fed-Ex, it shouldn't take 2 weeks to get a little child's costume. I will NOT be using Spirit Halloween again... lesson learned!

Ordered product online with overnight shipping which was available but apparently not something the company stands behind as advertised. NEVER will order online from Spirit again.
I placed a preorder for my children's choice of Halloween costumes. The items were ordered 8/19/16 and were supposed to ship 9/30/16 because they were not yet available. On October 12th the items were still on hold and had not shipped. I called and they claim my credit card was declined. I asked if I could give them the credit card information again because it must be an error. They then said I had to place a new order if I was to change the payment information. What? AND if I placed a new order the items are no longer available! I asked why I couldn't get the ones on hold and they said I just couldn't. So I placed an order two months in advance, received no correspondence that there was a payment issue, and I can't fix the issue to get my items that are on hold? I have never dealt with such a backwards and unfriendly company. I ordered through Toynk Toys, next day shipping. And guess what? The credit card worked just fine.
I recently purchased a costume from Spirit Halloween. The sales clerks were very unprofessional, they were not clear about return or exchange policies, they talk about random unnecessary information to distract from hearing their policies. I returned to Spirit Halloween 4 hours after purchasing a costume for my son, in hopes of returning the costume, as it was too small. The sales clerks were extremely rude, were very argumentative, and when I tried to explain my position and then not making their return/exchange policy clear, they threatened to call the police. I asked to speak with a manager, the child working stated she was the only one available. I asked to speak to someone with authority, and she threw a receipt at me and told me to call the corporate office. I asked for her name, she rudely replied Bethany and refused to give me a full name, so I could call in a complaint about her lack of customer service skills and extremely rude behavior. Had they made their return/exchange policy clear, I would not have purchased the costume. I feel the I was ripped off, deceived, and Spirit Halloween stole from me. I will never return to Spirit Halloween, I will boycott this store and all locations. I will also tell my friends, and deter people from doing business with such a crooked, thieving company. I hope Spirit Halloween does not come back to Auburn, Maine again.
THE WORST online shopping experience I've had EVER. I have had to call the 1-866 number over 9 times in the last two days trying to track down my Canadian order before the weekend of Halloween and I've had to deal with insane wait times, calls dropping and not getting a call back after hours of waiting, promises of an email follow-up to my order status, incorrect tracking details, and a "mix up" with my address - all over a $200 order that I made well in advance of the time I was supposed to receive it. I will never shop with Spirit Halloween again.

I placed a order for funko pops (Hocus Pocus) in July. I received a email stating I canceled my order when I never did. Calling customer service they said it was a internal error with paypal and I should replace my order. At that time they gave me free shipping for my troubles. That would have been great if my second order had ever shipped. Online it said I had a tracking number but the item never shipped out. When I called to question this I was told another internal error made it so my order never got to the warehouse. These pops are out of stock now so I am SOL. This is the worst handling of online orders I have ever experienced. I will not be coming back to Spirit Halloween no mater what exclusives they have. Not worth my time.
Based on my most recent interaction with Customer Service, this is what I now know regarding the status of my delayed order:
-The shipment is over a week late, but is only now being discovered. A shipment, expected to arrive by 12/20/2018, carrying several high demand items, did not show and no questioned nor followed up on its location. No "Order Delayed" notifications sent nor plans to be sent.
-A new shipment may or may not be in route and may or may not have the product to fill my order.
-As there is no Shipping Information, the delivery (still showing Expected 12/20) may or may not be arriving sometime in January 2019. I was advised to expect possible delivery around the beginning to mid - January, but most likely before February 2019 (no guarantees).
-If there is a Shipping delay, they will send out notifications, unless it is an unforeseen delay, a delay by the shipper, a recent delay, or a delay that may affect order processing. Guaranteed Delivery By dates are only estimates, and NOT guaranteed.
My order, placed Oct. 26,2018, was originally expected mid-December, then changed to be shipped December 20. The ETA is now unavailable and can not be guaranteed. What can be guaranteed is that this will be my last order with this company. Here's hoping I get my order eventually.

I bought a few things there at the beginning of October and after putting these graves in my yard a few days later they were falling down (the part that is supposed to hold the stakes in the ground was defective and falling apart). I tried to just superglue it back together and few times and it kept happening. I finally decided to return them and get something else about mid October. I was told that they would not return it because it was used and that they wouldnt even give me store credit. I was upset because they cost quite a bit- about $45. One of the women behind the counter was extremely aggressive and rude to me. Also in my town they shut the store down immediately after Halloween so theres no way to take action against them. Worst shopping experience Ive ever had. Please dont shop here- we have to show companies like this that consumers wont support these unacceptable business practices. Amazon sells all the same items and probably at better prices - and they have the best return policy. Never shopping for Halloween items anywhere else again.
They sent me an item obviously severely damaged with a box cutter. Someone took it put it in a box and shipped it to me like it was no big deal. Never experienced such customer service in my life.

I was so happy to visit the Spirit Halloween store but when I was looking for something that I wanted they didn't have it, I am in to the Jeepers Creepers films and I was really hoping that they would have something Jeepers Creepers whether it is the costume, mask or signs, there was nothing! I was really dissatisfied. I am also sure that I am not the only one who likes Jeepers Creepers. I am hoping that next year they have Jeepers Creepers things.

I had pre-ordered a Hocus Pocus pop figure and last night I'd received my package the day it said it'd be here. However when I opened it, they had given me the wrong Hocus Pocus pop figure even though the paper that came with it said it was supposed to be the Sarah Sanderson one. There's even a picture of the pop figure I wanted in my confirmation email. Whoever is in charge of packaging the orders REALLY need to pay attention.
I bought something there for the next year. When I opened it up the whole thing was broke. One wheel was broke. A wire was broke and the remote wasn't even in the box. When I called the company they did nothing. Not even a 20% off for my next purchase which would have only helped them. I was told Sam Cook was the supervisor that wouldn't do anything although I'm not sure I believe that's his name. Open EVERYTHING you buy the before you leave the store and MAKE SURE IT WORKS.

Payed for express shipping and S Halloween sent it ground with the excuse it should have still made it in 2-4 day express timeframe. Well it came one day after Halloween. They could care less when I called that I payed extra for more rapid shipping and they sent it ground, just pocketed the money and left me a chump. Horrible to have a sad kid Halloween day because the people operate with greed and could care less about the customer. DO NOT EVER BUY ANYTHING FROM SPIRIT HALLOWEEN.

I ordered a simple surgeon's costume online on October 3,2018. Upon checkout, I was told the delivery would be Monday, October 8,2018 at a shipping and handling cost of $10.13. I have a costume party to attend at my job on Wednesday so proceeded with the order. Now, I am being told it won't arrive until Friday, October 12,2018. DO NOT... DO NOT... DO NOT... BUY ANTYTHING FROM SPIRIT HALLOWEEN. You will be inconvenienced and ripped off!
Be very, very careful ordering anything from them online. They sent me the wrong animatronic and I tried to return it at the store, only to have a worker there insinuate I was trying to scam them by returning an item that is not theirs, although I had the confirmation sales form, unopened box and everything. She said she was not allowed to do a return due to inventory so I had to contact their online store. Chatted with an "Ebony" who is extremely rude by the way, (the way she answers the chat was "what do you want?") and she seems to be the only one working their chat line, but after 20 mins wasted explaining the issue, she finally sent me a label to return. But then I hear nothing from them although the tracking number shows that they received the item. Fast forward 3 weeks later and I'm still trying to call them, email them, FB them you name it and it seems like they've skipped town because I can never get a real person on the phone. And I am seeing that another reviewer is going through the same thing, this company is a fraud. I've never been worried about a business that should've been legitimate taking my money before. It's sad because I buy a lot of stuff to do our haunted house every year but I can NEVER EVER trust this company again. Oh and don't worry, if I don't get my money back I am reporting this fraud to my credit card company.

I called to change one thing RIGHT after I made my order and then get an email addressing me as some random person and said my order was cancel which I never did that and then of course I couldn't get ahold of anyone (I've been trying for a WEEK) so I said whatever I don't care about it anymore but then I got an email saying my order was shipped! No refund In the account. Also no package arrived. Again I can't get ahold of them. Their customer support is a JOKE and it will randomly hang up on you saying "number has been recorded you will receive a call back" and you NEVER GET A CALL BACK. Do not order from this company

I went to look at costumes and to purchase a scarecrow costume. I wanted to see if Party City had a different scarecrow costume I may like better. I was told by Spirit Halloween employees that Party City did not have anything different because they order the costumes for them. I did talk to someone on the phone at Party City that took the time to find the scarecrow costume no matter hon bust they were and they were less expensive. Bottom line Spirit Halloween will tell you what they need to, to make the sell. DO NOT BELEIVE THEM. I recommend you try Party City first when purchasing a costume this Halloween season.
