My husband and I decided to be Chuckie and Tiffany Valentine for Halloween. His overalls were really big they was a large/extra large, but we pinned it up and we made it work overall. Very good quality.
For as long as i can remember, spirit Halloween was one of the best places to be as a teenager out of high school on a weekend with your friends. Now that I am an adult I see things differently. The products they sell even the most expensive will last maybe 2 years tops! So if I spent 500 on a animatronic its trash in 2 years. Not only is this a environmental disaster its a money scheme. Sprit Halloween does this on purpose, it is their financial expectation and built into their business model. Spirit Halloween, it does not have to be this way! You and your executives and L1's can change this and make it great again!
I ordered two items from Spirit Halloween on Thursday morning, around 8 am. I chose overnight shipping. The only reason I chose overnight shipping is because the website literally said it would be here Friday the next day. Guess what ended up happening? If you said it's Monday and they didn't even ship the package out yet, you're right! Don't shop online from Spirit Halloween. I have emailed them many times and it's all the same reply. ‘You have to give it two days to process the order.' If that was true then why did the websites overnight shipping option literally tell me it would delivered the next day? Seems a little strange right? Well let me tell you, it feels a little strange right now that I wasted SO MUCH MONEY for literally standard time shipping. If I don't get a refund for the fraudulent overnight shipping I'm never shopping here again. This is ridiculous.
Fun store however I was double charged for my purchase and I've had to call ten times and email several times trying to get my money refunded to me. Their customer service department is a complete joke. I'm contemplating contacting better business bureau. Still waiting for my $89 they owe me!
Received costume that was too small on 10/24/18. Stood in line for next available store clerk to do a return or exchange. She told me that I would have to wait for the next available store clerk. Once that clerk became available, he advised they could not do returns for items received after 10/19/18 because people wear the costumes and try to return worn items. They didn't have the child size costume available either. When a 12 year old straight-A student has used their earned allowance money to buy a product and cannot exchange or get their money back Shame on your Spirit Halloween. My child would rather donate your costume then buy anything else from your store.
I see why service gets 1 star! My return is somewhere, in transit, so I've been told! I keep getting charged for an item that I no longer have in my possession. Last customer service rep was very short. Poor results!

They will totally rub you off for the stupid holiday. And then, when you decide to exchange or return some things, they are so difficult to deal with the staff is rude. It is such a joke. Do not go to the store. Order your costumes from Amazon and get your decorations from Home Depot.

Unpleasant experience. Walked in the door and an associate with a long beard won't let me into the store because I had a 9 lb puppy in a zipped up bag with me. It was so ridiculous that even the customers walking in asked me if that's the reason why I was walking out and thought it was asinine. I was ready to spend at least over $200 in two to three adult customs
But they preferred to make feel like a fool and leave the store. By the way, there is no sign anywhere where it says dogs not allowed.
Would not recommend them at all. Customer service is horrible. Return and exchange policy is a joke and if you try to call and speak to a manager they just hang up on you. The costumes are over priced and cheaply made. The buttons on my son's costume just fell off while he was trying it on. Will not ever shop there again
Do your shopping in person. Not online. Waiting for my refund since September. It's now the 7th of December. Costumer service is unprofessional. They give me a different story every time i call. They seam like they don't know what they are doing. Even store employees dislike online. Buyer beware. Before i ordered from them i was warned. So now i'll warn everyone.

Shop at any other Halloween retailer in Western PA. The staff and managers are unprofessional, vulgar, and rude. No one seems to know what they are doing. I am starting to see their signs going up again in my area. No thanks. I'll happily go to the competition...
I spent about $200, regular retail price, in this store only to get a coupon for 20% off my entire order a few days later. I phoned customer service and got a return email saying they would refund the difference straight into my account. They never did and now won't return my emails. This company is a scam and I will never shop there again.
Spirit Halloween is a 5-star rating from me, but a few days after I purchased with my debit card those dirty scoundrels took an extra 300 hard-earned dollars most likely through a card skimmer. I got chills when I saw my money was gone, and a little pee was spilled.

I've never shopping online at Spirit Halloween until this year. I wish I went with my gut and used Amazon. I paid extra for priority shipping and yet here we are and my order is missing in Indiana. I chatted with a representative and instead of helping me she just exited out of that chat. I would not recommend buying from Spirit Halloween online.

What a bunch of crap. I payed and extra shipping fee to have it sent over night (I ordered on 10/25) and it STILL hasn't came! WHAT a waste paying an additional price for overnight shipping if it doesn't even arrive during normal shipping business days. What a rip off. Definitely not shipping here again.

I purchased a Halloween costume, decorations and ordered a large scarecrow that was suppose to come with a stake (I paid $20 extra dollars for oversized shipping) It came in a small box no stake and did not even work! (eyes lighting up) I then emailed corporate with no response! I will never shop there again.

If I could, I would give them a 0. They take your order and never let you know that your item is not on stock. I paid for overnight shipping, waited for four days, when I called them they simply said: "That item is out of stock so we could not mail it to you." However, they never sent me a message about it. They are completely incompetent and their business practices totally irresponsible. Do not order anything online from them!
I'm so extremely upset I ordered on a sat 10/26/19 and paid for two day shipping to guarantee it would be here before Halloween. It shipped out on Monday 10/28/19 I was suppose to get it 10/30/19 and it's now Halloween day and now my order says it will ship out tmrw! I paid an extra 20 bucks to guarantee I would receive my order like the website stated I'm so upset now we don't have Halloween costumes all because they didn't honor the one thing their website clearly stated! Spirit Halloween used to put out great merchandise, but these days it's turned into nothing more than crap. I purchase from them a lot, but that will stop from here on out. I own over 150 animatronics. More than 75 came from spirit. 5 items that I bought last year and used in halloween night only no longer work. And they say they are out of replacement parts. 3 of the items I ordered this year have quit working. One was delivered broken. Save yourself some despair and order from companies that care about their customers and the products.

Don't shop here. They treat their employees awful. Their merchandise is over priced junk. Easiest place in the world to shop lift from and then blame their workers! Management makes promises they never deliver on.
The average costume runs $45-$60. The choices are not too bad, but finding your size is unlikely. I thought I had a costume that would fit my son but the costumes run EXTREMELY small. I tried exchanging it for the right size but they were out of stock. I tried calling their 800 number, which is the only number available for all of the stores, to see if the other local (but further for me) store had the right size in stock and if they would exchange from a different store, and the phone lines were shut down despite it being open hours. I sure won't be back next year.

I ordered a costume for my daughter, and it was supposedly delivered by Fed Ex. I never received the package, so I called Spirit Halloween's customer service #. The first rep told me that I would have to file a police report for a stolen package before I could get a refund. I called again hoping to talk to someone with more sense. The second person said they could send a replacement. I told him the costume was no longer in stock in my daughter's size and that I wanted a refund. For the second time, he said he would have a replacement sent. I told him he wasn't listening to me and he hung up on me. Save your money and stick to Amazon! If I could give them 0 stars I would. What a way to ruin someone's Halloween.

I bought my grandson a Marshmallow light up mask. There were 2 left. I took one up to the clerk and was told it was 25% off because it was missing the remote. So I went and grabbed the other one and paid full price. Got home and opened up the box. No remote inside. Called the 800 number on my receipt. Told to take a picture of my receipt and email it to them. 2 days later I received a response. Sorry, the clerk was misinformed. Never heard nothing back. I should have taken the other one and saved 25%. Bunch of BS

So every review is talking about how horrible their experience is with this store, but every year since I was born, I've come to Spirit and never been dissatisfied. I got a costume last week, it was great, got the Killer Klown Cotton Candy Gun, works perfectly, And I love coming back every once and a while to see what's new. My favourite store for Halloween stuff. I guess my location is just a really good one.
EDIT: So I think it's that the online stuff isn't the best. If you shop in-person, you know what you're getting. But I think if so many people are having trouble, they should improve their online quality.

I bought paw patrol costumes on September 13. They sat at the local FedEx facility where they said I could not pick them up for 8 days and now Spirit Halloween does not know where they are and they keep telling me to 24-48 hours and then I have to talk to someone new all over again! Terrible customer service and now my daughter is out of a costume for her birthday!

I made an online purchase of a clothing item that didn't fit. I wanted to just exchange it, but Spirit doesn't have an exchange process. You have to return it and wait for a refund. The problem was that they make returns a difficult and costly process because they purposely do not include any return shipping labels. I paid $6.99 for shipping to have the item arrive. To send it back for an exchange? $27. And these costs are not refundable. But b. S. because Spirit scams customers by making their return/exchange policy difficult and costly. Do not shop at Spirit Halloween, especially online. I will wait for my refund on my item and then purchase it from another retailer. This experience guarantees that my family will never again give Spirit our money. Lost loyal customer because of crap policy.
I ordered a costume on 10/22 in the morning, and later that evening got an email saying it was shipped with a tracking number. I also paid extra to get the 2 day shipping option to guarantee it would be here before halloween. It is now 10/26, and I check the tracking number, and it says the costumes have not even left the warehouse. I call customer service, and every time it says their reps are busy, and then it just hangs up the line, I can't even wait on the phone for one to become available. Would not recommend anyone using Spirit Halloween, as they don't ship items when they said they would, even when you pay extra for quicker shipping.
