We are Catholic and when we moved we wanted to find a good Catholic church in our area, we attended this church for a few years. We found it odd though that the head priest here would never talk to us, look at us, shake our hands or talk to us. We would see him out at church and in town and local businesses, but he would have nothing to do with us, we are seniors in our 60's, he is around 50 or so, younger than us. It was the oddest thing, a priest without Jesus Christ within. We pray for him, but stopped going here. We found another church where the priest embraced us, welcomed us, shook our hands, invited us to events, and showed so much love, much more Christ like. In all our years of being Catholic and going to a Catholic church, being Catholic, 60+ years, we had never come across a priest like this, he was not a priest in the sense we had ever experienced before, he was not at all like Jesus. We do not go to this church anymore, but do pray for the church and priest that they can be more Christlike. One would think the head of a church who is supposed to represent Jesus, would behave more like Christ, following Him, imitating Him, and reflecting Him, this head priest just never did. Aren't priests supposed to help their parishioners get to Heaven? We do pray for him each day as God would want us to do, we still see him around town, we know he has his own struggles and do pray for him he can be more like Jesus some day. This Catholic church needs many prayers.
