Called customer service for a reboot of my system and the lady at tech support did something to my phone and now I cant make calls. They always have problems, charge alot of money for poor service and a hotspot I cant even use. I hope they go out of business soon. I'm switching to cricket wireless. And the customer service is better with them
Straight talk has horrible service and support. They customer service is not good at all. They really need to be shut down. They the only company that does not help their customers out at all. Someone need to shut this company down like they did all the good breakfast shoney's. Because this is the number one horrible disaster phone company.
I had an issue with my data. The last 2 months my hotspot data has been used incredibly fast. I has it to work from home, and I haven't had an issue with it, but in March I had to refill my data 12 days early and somehow all that data was gone in 9 days, some of those days I wasn't even using my hotspot. When I called customer service to see what was going on, they just kept lecturing me about how it worked. I tried to explain that I used it the same as I always do, so for my data to disappear after such a short time doesn't make sense. He would not help me further other than just tell me he is "trained and knows what he is doing" I asked to be transferred and he refused to transfer me saying he didn't have that capability, which I know is a lie, because I have talked to a supervisor before. I told him I knew he was lying and he just insisted he knew what he was doing. I switched service providers 2 hours later.
Straight talk is by far the biggest liars in the mobile phone industry. Straight talk sends a loyalty points reminder everytime I refill my account with a 45$ plan that reminds me that I have enough rewards to cover my normal 45$ service plan. Let me say, that I have been a loyal customer for approximately 10 years or so.
This month, I decided to use my points. I followed the prompts through my texts to recieve my plan. It wouldn't go through. So I called and the rep is going to tell me that after years of being a faithful and loyal customer, I don't have enough points to do anything but purchase 1gig of data. They did not care whether I switched to another phone company. A little goes a long way in business. If they offer it, they should be loyal to their texts and reward. I'm done with all of this. 10 years or so of my loyalty. Gone with lies.
They lie ive been waiting 3 days for my order even tho I paid for next day shipping everything I call they lie to me and tell me my order has been shipped and refuse to give me a refund
They are by no means... the worst service provider on this planet.
No signal. No data... there customer service?! Woww... they don't know what is going on... 75% of them can not speak English well?!?!
One of them asked me to contact Sprint!
The other one told me that my data is going on and off because of Sprint towers!?!
When they tell you that they are going to connect you to the special department... then be ready to wait for at least an hour with no one to talk to you...
If you do not like the word (by the way)... don't even think of call them... they use this word more than you can imagine.
If you wanna get a phone plan don't think of Straight talk.
If you are already with them... brake it now because soon they will make you regret it.

I've been a customer for ten years and yesterday they their agent told me I would receive an iPhone 12 max pro, SIM card, and $45 free month plan for being a long time customer and with my points. Called today because I didn't receive my confirmation and today they tell me that it was their error and a lie. Also told me they have no way of getting that recorded conversation even though it states on their system when you call! Their higher up admitted it was their error and I was lied too but refused to make it right! A company is only as good as their word! They promised it to me and got me all excited just to be lied too! They have the ability to make it right! I took off my auto fill and won't be renewing my service unless they make it right. I also will not refer them to anyone else and will be posting this on social media to warn towhees on how they run their company! This is my third time in the same daycontacting straight talk about my phone service. I have paid my bill and I still can't make any phone calls nor do I have internet access. I have spoke to someone twice and my issue has still not been resolved. I have waited on the phone for a total of over three hours and my issue has not been resolved. Worst phone company and help I have ever experienced. Now im back on hold for over an hour.
I bought a new phone on December 3. It has auto refill service. It is an iPhone 13 and was paid in full. On December 14 straight talk deactivated my phone and ported my number out illegally without my consent. It has now been 16 days and they refused to give me my number back or activate my phone. They told me if I give them $300 they will unlock the phone but I will have to have another number. They stole my number and ported it out. It is time for the FCC to stop this criminal enterprise. I have this time with my family including my son who is a United States military service member. My elderly parents are unable to contact me and I am not able to make medical appointments. This company is a safety hazard. The FCC needs to help. Straight talk has done this to thousands of people this month.
I have been trying for over 2 months to cancel this service since I broke my phone. I was billed again for service I'm not using this month. Finally I was able to talk with someone about my account but I could understand her because of the bad English she had. I kept asking for another person and she ignored me and kept repeating herself. I was able to get my service canceled but I was told i could not get a refund even though my phone is broken and I have not nor am I using their service. Please straighttalk employ customer service that can be understood.
I have been with Straight Talk for about 20 years and lived their service until recently when overnight my phone wouldn't make any calls
I had the internet and could receive calls and send and receive text messages. This had gone on for about 5 days. I had called and spoke with 5 reps and 2 supervisors and none of them helped me fix the problem. Finally I told myself that I would try one more time and if it couldn't be resolved I would switch companies. I called and was connected with Angela,(I think) and explained to her my situation and that I had performed all of the tests that they had so I didn't have much faith, even after her reassuring me that she would help me fix it. And she began directing me in a way none of the other reps had and within 5 minutes, my phone was working again. All it was, was that I didn't have my WiFi calling on. Simple. I love using Straight Talk and am so grateful to this reps for fixing the problem. My only complaint is that all of the others that tried to help me prior to Angela should've known how to do this as well. I hope that they train all of their reps to be able to have the same knowledge as her. She definitely deserves a pay raise. Thank you again.
I don't understand how so many people can complain about a service that is no contract and unlimited and cheaper that most other services! People just love to complain! Want everything handed to them.
With that said, the only issue I wish would be resolved, is I have a 5g phone, yet can never watch videos above 480p! That's ridiculous! A 5g phone should be able to play 1080 and above resolution! Other than that, the customer service could be a little better..
Constantly have dropped calls, missed calls, missing messages. Tech support is laughable and customer service is non existent. If you ask to speak to a supervisor, they say they are the supervisor. Must be like PopCopy. Wouldn't recommend to my worst enemy
I ordered two brand new iphones for my wife and I paid. Even paid for the expideted shipping never got a tracking number and my confirmation came in spanish, I don't speak Spanish. Then received 34 different excuses on why phones never shipped. Can never speak to someone you can understand. Stop reading off a book and actually show the people that pay your paycheck some $#*!ing respect, disgusting people skill. Al bundy should get away from straight talk there ruining his career. If the CEO could get off his $#*! and fix his employees he wouldn't have this problem so disgusted and I'm leaving straight talk after four years. Don't worry mr CEO just keep lining your pockets w other hard working people's money and keep not giving a $#*! so over this $#*!
I bought my son a Straight Talk phone from Walmart with a 30 day card. He was waiting for a government issued QLink phone card. When he received the card, he tried to transfer service and was told by Straight Talk he had to wait 60 days. His Straight Talk phone was broken and now past his 60 days when he called yesterday. Since he originally tried to register the government card w/it, QLink told him he needed an unlock code from Straight Talk. He was putting this card on a different phone. Straight Talk told him he could either pay $136 or keep the contract for 12 months. This is a no-contract service! The customer service rep, Marjorie, would not transfer us to a supervisor or manager to discuss this further. I would think this is illegal. How can they hold a customer hostage with their service and charge $136 when you can't even use their phone? The reason he has a QLink card is because he can't afford a cell bill and has a child.
I bought a 90 dollar two line phone plan and there was a "glitch" in the system, so of course it did not send me the second pin for my other line. I called and spoke to someone twice you could tell that she was reading from a script because she wasn't making any sense and couldn't understand her and she said that she couldn't help me retrieve my pin or credit my account. I asked to speak to a manager and she said that they weren't allowed to transfer calls to a manager. Basically this happened last month and still no resolution. So my take on it is that they stole my money. So beware of straight talk they are crooks!
It tool me four times calling to work this issue out but the 4th person I talked to whom was Jaymar was wonderful! I understand this is new to them also! I appreciate Jaymar's patience with me! Thank you so much Jaymar!
I bought a new SIM card for a straight talk phone that I already owned and when i tried to activate it I was on the phone with 3 different people that barely spoke English only to be told she was ending the call. Its the worst customer service I have ever had to deal with. Only reason I gave them 1 star is because i couldn't post the review without it.
I have been with straight for 7 yrs but since my last 2day- 3.5 hrs on the phone and still no resolution, I have decided to cancel my service. I have had man issues with their customer service over the years, however, this last encounter in which I requested 4x to speak to someone stateside and was disconnected after a long wait, I have had enough of their shenanigans.
Straight talk customer service is the reason my family and I will never use straight talk again. I was on the phone with straight talk customer service representative Mark. They had me on the phone for 45 minutes and told me to hold on a second. 30 minutes later and nobody is on the other line. As if it's not bad enough that the customers can't get ahold of customer service. Straight talk is trash, I do not recommend to anyone and never will after this.
Answer: Cheaper than ATT for a landline. I never thought of the problems I am having trying to get service started. I don't know how they stay in business considering the gift fact that Verizon owns them.
Answer: I've been pretty consistently able to get a hold of them. As far as them being helpful not at all.
