Can't say enough good things about these folks. I have two great experiences to relate. 1: Used up all my internet time with had some talk time still availble. Wanted to purchase more time and of course you talk to someone in India with a very thick accent. I myself have a very thick hillbilly southern accent. This man was named H****N! (I have ommitted his name in case there might be any reprisal from his boss!) After some time of trying to understand one another we started poking fun at each other and were laughing. I already understood that by uploading another card for internet I would loose my leftover talk minutes. God Bless H****N! He gave me two months of internet and talk time for the price of one. Wish I could find him again lol. 2: Bought a reconditioned Proclaim which quite working two months after purchase. It came with a one year warranty. Again talked to a young women from India! Her english was better than mine. She had a hard time understanding me. She sent me a new Centura and with it came a box plus return paid shipping to send the defective one back. Can't beat that with a stick! Thumbs up and all smiles!

FOREIGN SCAMMERS
October 23, 2023

After paying straight talk every month for 4 years, they would not unlock my phone. They did not offer any option to unlock it other than to reactivate my phone, but yet they couldn't find records in their system that's they have deducted $50 every month from my account. Their customer service is HORRIBLE, they can't speak English, and it is a total waist of time and money!
STAY AWAY FROM STRAIGHT TALK!

Liars and theives

I bought a phone it quit working straight talk told me to send my phone in and they would replace it within 3-5 days its now 2 months later and they are still giving me the run around about my replacement phone after promising 2 different phones then tried to give me a cheap $#*! phone and lying to me on top of it I told the lady I last spoke with that im done with the lies and games that straight talk was playing that im filing theft by deception considering they have my phone that doesn't work and they haven't replaced it and also have given me the run around for 2 months i am also reporting them to the BBB Because this is not a place I would mess with they want their money but they want to lie cheat and steal from their customers

Not only did they shut my new phone down yesterday, locked up 2 Sims cards, had me buy a whole new kit ($70), to then try to lock my phone up again today! Also let me point out that they changed my phone number I've had for 7yrs and will not give it back, nor give me the unlock code to switch to att. DO NOT BUY STRAIGHT TALK!

They treat their customers like dirt, Is not the cheapest one. If there are too many people on the network at one time (which is about 50% there is no service. Its garbage.

Nothing but a scam
October 28, 2023

I bought the router and service card after checking my aria was covered. I called Straighttalk to get activated. I got the ultimate senior supervisor named Sammy. He told me that even though there's coverage, they have no "slot" for me and to call back in a few days. And no, He's the most senior person there and can't transfer me. Goodbye.
I call back and get absolute manager Godwin on the line. Who incidentally can't transfer me to anyone else either, as he is the ultimate supervisor. Godwin tells me a different story until it becomes cleat that he can't spell my street name as dictated but even after my non-existent address was made existant Godwin still had no clue. Goodbye.
I spoke to two more absolute supervisors before I packed it up and returned the router to Walmart. Unfortunately, you'll be out the $45 for the scratch card, and that's the scam. Fortunately the lady at Walmart got that credited after a call to higher, but usually, that's not done. That was done today, October 28,2023 at about 1330 at the Joe B. Jacksom Walmart in Murfreesboro Tn.
I'll never deal with Straighttalk again.

I have called straight talk 15 times to get my phone fixed in 15 times they told me it is fixed only so that I can't make a call within an hour later I can't video I can't text 611 for help and all they say is oh well you have to take your sim card out to use it who has the time to take a SIM card out just to use the damn phone

Worst provider
August 29, 2022

I as a customer had straight talk for years until yesterday they ended my service because I was texting my family group to much but I paid my bill last week for unlimited calls and texts. I was so mad they they cut my service off and wouldnt turn it back on and wouldnt give me my money back for just paying this account. I am so pissed that a company could do me like this and every one i talk to said that they never heard such in their life. I went and talked to a customer service in verizon and he called straight talk and they told him the same thing that they were not turning my phone back on and that I can go out and purchase another phone with a new phone number. I only made about 10 til 15 family group texts yesterday because I had death in my family my baby sister pass away. I was very upset to know that a provider would do me so wrong so is anybody is with straight talk please read this and be careful of texting to much because I do not want this to happen to someone else. It is so wrong that I paid for unlimited service but I still got shut off from my phone.

Poor service

Purchased a sim card at Walmart, neither Walmart support nor straighttalk support could get it working at their end. Walmart refused to refund me because the package was open.

Scam

I have called them several times to fix the issue... Each time they hang up or put me on hold, I cannot receive calls or texts. I pay for a $15 plan I did not receive they will not give me a refund

Recently purchased a new phone from StraightTalk and right out of the box it didn't work. I called customer service and was connected to someone in India. He had me on the phone for over a half hour. My phone kept saying "invalid SIM card". He told me that it would take a while for the activation and to just wait. I waited a half hour and called back. This time I got someone from somewhere in Europe. She actually figured out that SIM card was faulty and issued a new one which was to arrive in two business days. In the meantime, she said she would put my payment on hold till the phone was activated since I didn't have any service. The card arrived on the second day but the payment was processed the day before. I called and got the phone activated and she extended my service date. Before she extended my service date, my phone was enrolled in automatic refill. When I checked online after hanging up I noticed the the auto refill was cancelled. I tried to enroll online again but they wanted me to pay. I called back and explained to them the the auto refill was cancelled and I wanted to enroll again without being charged for another 30 days of service because I just paid for my service today. The lady told me that there was no record of me paying and hung up. One of the worst companies for customer service.

CUSTOMER SERVICE SUCKS THE AGENTS DONT KNOW HOW TO TALK TO CUSTOMERS ARE SO RUDE AND IF YOU ARE ENROLLED IN THE LOYALTY PROGRAM TO GET POINTS WATCH OUT THEY WILL TAKE THE POINTS AND MAKE YOU TURN AROUND AND PAY FOR YOUR PLANS INSTEAD OF REDEEM YOUR POINTS. I USE TO LOVE STREAIGHT TALK AND RECOMMEND THEM TO FAMILY AND FRIENDS BUT AFTER TODAY I WILL BE LOOKING FOR ANOTHER COMPANY

Straight talk is just a bunch of theives. I cancelled my phone service with them and they continued to take money out of my account. I called to get a refund and the manager yelled at me. They are super nice to you as long as you are in service with them but the MINUTE you leave, they act like completely $#*!s. PLEASE PLEASE DONT USE THEM! It's not worth it.

I had moved from TN. To AL. I called Straight Talk and told them to discontinue service I had left a bank account with 10k to make sure any late bills or anything unexpected turned up I was busy selling 3 houses bought 2 moved 5 times 18 mos. Later I closed the account and found S/T had not closed the account and had charged me for 18mos. And $850 I called they said I had the service I told that was because you didn't disconnect as I asked their mistake cost me $850 because I had auto pay and they hadn't disconnected service

The only way to cancel service is to start over with a new phone number with a new carrier. It would be easier to break into Fort Knox than to get them to release your phone number. SO DIFFICULT TO DEAL WITH CUSTOMER SERVICES! They all claim to be a "supervisor" (EVERYONE? REALLY?!). If you ask for a supervisor, they simply put you through the queue again. When you have gone through this 5 or 6 times, then they start cutting you off…over and over…NO ONE helps! NO ONE! It is IMPOSSIBLE to get anyone to cooperate. They don't know what they are doing when you get through. The wait times are 30-45 minutes and THEN THEY CUT YOU OFF AGAIN!

Tried to order a new phone. The order never went through, however, my card was charged. C/S was very rude. Now I have to dispute the unauthorized charge with my bank.

The service itself is pretty good. However, it takes days and endless hours on the phone being on hold and multiple transfers to another person with customer service to resolve issues.

I sent in a broken phone under warranty nearly 3 weeks ago. Was supposed to get a replacement phone withing 1 to 3 business days after the received the broken phone. The broken phone was sent 4/6/2023 I waited to 4/13/2023 for email with tracking nothing came so I called they said that they did receive the phone and estimated delivery of replacement was 4/18/2024 ticket number was or tracking number was given. 4/18 came and went with no replacement delivered. I called customer service again 4/19 at which point I was told the warehouse didn't have the model phone I had but they would send one comparable I agreed at which point I was told I'd have a tracking number emailed within 24 to call back if I didn't receive it. I didn't get any emails from straight the next day so Called on 4/20 just to be told they had no tracking info yet that it can take 3 or 4 days to ship. Now here we are 4/24/2023 I called again with same spill about not having my model in warehouse after telling them I'm ok with comparable phone. If I don't get a tracking number by Tomorrow I'm calling Both FTC and FCC. And shooting for more expensive pH to make up for business lost as results of their negligence.
