Ok, so I add a airtime card to my reserve and am on auto pay. Instead of straight talk using my airtime card they charge my debit card a day before emy bill is due, then on the due date they take my airtime card out of my reserve. No problem, I just called and had my money refunded. The very next month I add another airtime to my reserve, I check my bank account because I had this issue before, and AGAIN, they charged my debit card, a day BEFORE the bill is due. So it seems that when I'm on autopay and have reserve time avaliable, they intentionally charge my debit card. Then when I get refunded it takes days to get my money back. It's freaking nerve racking. Not to mention, tcusyomer support doesn't even speak or understand English well enough to address my issue. I'm sorry but this company has gone down the toilet as well as all other major companies who transfer customer support to non English speaking countries, its RIDICULOUS. GET IT TOGETHER ALREADY

Hi I am using straight talk since more than a month
What I discovered that
The network will work fine with you in the zip code area where you initially registered ( they always ask you where you will stay the most when you initially register your phon)
And that's the trick!
All other areas the network will be very bad
So you may still get the internet but no txt or call
That's applied even to downtown and open main areas

When I called them about this issue they said
Sorry sir actually verison network treated their customers diffrent than Ours

So keep in your mind that paying extra 5 dollars will save you from this fake company

Don't order online
July 27, 2022

I've had straight talk for years, never had a problem with their coverage until recently (weird but still good unless I"m in my house) - however, I ordered a phone online on saturday - didn't expect it to get processed until monday, but I really needed it so I requested overnight delivery.
It's now Wednesday, and my order is still pending fulfillment. I tried to cancel yesterday and today only to be told multiple times by multiple people that they CAN'T cancel the order (even though it's still in process), and that my only option is to refuse delivery of the package - whenever it gets shipped, which they also can't tell me when THAT will actually happen. I've chatted 3 folks, and spoken on the phone to one - no one was willing to help me out, or fix this issue. Now I have to wait on a package i no longer want, but will be charged for WHEN IT SHIPS EVENTUALLY to be delivered so I can request a return label and send it back to wait 3-5 days for processing, and up to 2 billing cycles for a refund.
Don't order online. NOT worth it.

I can honestly say after 13 years of being a loyal customer to straight talk I will be leaving this company because they were brought up by Verizon. I have since been had nothing but problems with my phone and I bought three separate phones in every single phone had issues. Now the phone I have is a Motorola Moto g and if I'm not losing my network I can't send picture messages. And when you call straight talk they hand you a line of b*******. Also if you didn't know now you don't have the option to set your voicemail up it automatically sets it up for you and you cannot disable it. So in turn you would be pestered by spammers and scammers and people you have blocked on your phone will be able to leave you a voicemail messages. And after 30 days you may think your voicemail is going to fill up and no one can leave you a voicemail wrong they Purge that now they will Purge your voicemail and they will be able to continue to leave your voicemails so those of you who did never had a voicemail setup because some of us don't want to be bothered with the harassment now you don't have a choice. Just like if you notice in a lot of your settings you can control them no more.

It's funny how I could run out of 25GB of data faster than 15GB of data with Boost. I buy a 1 GB add on for $5 and it doesn't even last me 12 hrs! And this is WITH the Data Saver on my phone! I feel like they make their data speed run out faster on purpose so you have no choice but to be suckered into buying the add on! IMO Especially since their 2G network is PATHETIC. When I can unlock my phone next Feb, I'm switching back to Boost!

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!
September 29, 2020

I have no words to describe the HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE of this company. I have LITERALLY spoken to over 50 people in the past week and nobody could fix a simple technical glitch. I was transferred from person to person and each one was dumber and more I'll informed than the last one! They will tell you anything to get you off the phone. They never fixed the problem. They are TOTALLY INCOMPETENT AND USELESS THE LOT OF THEM. THEY ARE LISRS AND CON ATRISTS AS WELL. STAY AS FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY AS POSSIBLE. LET THEM ROT AND GO OUT OF BUSINESS.

When I bought a new phone last month straight talk, representatives spent over 10 hours trying to transfer my phone according to your reps, the phone was transferred correctly then at the beginning of December. Over 30 days later my phone changes on its own and the Internet stops working when I called the representatives there's contradicting information now and they are saying that the transfer wasn't done correctly over 30 days ago, after two hours on the phone I was told I needed to go to a different phone to call to troubleshoot my phone. Unfortunately, the previous reps never told me I needed to troubleshoot my phone and I needed to call from a different phone because they didn't understand what they were telling me they don't even speak clear & complete sentences. When I would ask a question, they would not answer with a response that made sense for the question. I asked they simply just stated a key phrase from a cue card that did not even pertain to the question that I asked. I cannot wait to change my service to a cheaper and better provider. I have never dealt with such horrible customer service! Totally incompetent people working for straight talk

Customer service is $#*!ty!
January 9, 2023

To be fair, the issue was fixed after a 6 hour ordeal. First phone call for help waited 20 minutes on hold for my turn (understandable I'm not the only person needing help and I did have the option to get a call back) but the person told me they aren't trained to help me with my issue and hung up on me. Then I chose the chat box help. Friendly attempt to help me with my issue but I was told I still needed to be transferred to someone more qualified. I was scheduled for a call back 30 minutes out. I received the call to hear an automated system tell me I'm on hold...5 minutes (ruffly) My phone is finally working at this time BUT I had two transactions this day. One that led to not working and the second that did work. So I wanted to make sure I get a refund to my card for the charge that didn't work. I was told the transaction isn't in their system...while I was looking directly at the transaction in my account for straight talk and my credit card account. They told me to take it to my bank and hung up on me when I told them I don't understand how they don't see the same thing I see if they're in my account. Anyway! I've used straight talk for many years for my oldest child and now my next inline. The service is fine as long as you never need help. If you don't mind a little stress to get where you need to be. It's not bad. Just needed to vent over being hung up on when I wasn't rude to them...just asking them to explain more. See photo? Two paid transactions for the same day when there should only be one. The customer service claimed to only see one single transaction.

They shut off my home phone service they did not tell me for 3 days off being on the phone for 3 days straighttalk and giving giving me to all the people who do not know what they are doing they tell me my phone is not compatible. So they sent me to walmart still did not know it was not compatible to get a new
Sim card and they knew it was for the home phone. So get the new box and get home to start it up and they said walmart did not scan it right so we called from walmart and they said it would take 24 to 48 hours. Then called sunday same thing can not get it activated until wed at the soonest. So back we went to walmart to have them rescan it so that is what we were told by straighttalk. So we got to walmart and they told us there they can not keep scanning it.So they refunded our money and I switched companies
They had the new one set up in less than 10 min by the way it is not straighttalk. It is by adikfferent company. I am done with them. They need to do some training or at least that they know what is going on. Also they took out of my account for the month when I have had no service.

Purchase a SIM Card what did not work
July 13, 2022

I purchased a $35 prepaid phone card at Walmart. Not knowing if it would work with my phone (ATT compatible), we called Straight Talk Customer Service - Technical support - to see if Straight talk would work with my phone. They advised me to purchase the card since it comes with different SIM cards for the different networks. So, I bought it. The agent at Walmart said that if anything went wrong, Walmart would not reimburse me. Nevertheless, I purchased the card because the technical person at Straight Talk had said it would work as long as I used the AT&T SiM card.
Well, I went home, put in the new SIM card and got a message saying the phone was incompatible. Called Straight Talk and said they were not responsible and I was not entitled for a refund. I was able to talk to a supervisor who told me that I could send the card to an address in Cooper General, TN (after paying on my own for the delivery) and that I should be able to get a refund.
Guess what, UPS returned the envelope with the SIM card because the address was undeliverable. Called Straight Talk and said that they do not refund a product bought at Walmart and they did not have any address in TN to return any items. I was shocked. They had lied?
So, I am stuck with a card that does not work. Neither Walmart, not Straight Talk take responsibility and I even lost $20 extra dollars sending an envelope to an address that is "undeliverable"

ONLY 2 DAYS OF "SERVICE" AND I'M DONE!
August 16, 2022

Took me 2 days after switching to Straight Talk to get my phone working. Found out after calling them that my previous carrier had not released my phone number to Straight Talk so they instructed me to contact them and ask them to release it, which I did. Had to contact them numerous times for the rest of that day and the next day to resolve my phone's inability to send or receive MMS messages as well as its inability to access the Internet using mobile data. After a huge hassle, I was finally told that the MMS issue could not be resolved as certain Samsung Galaxy models, when switched to the Straight Talk network, no longer have the MMS feature. I was beyond exasperated with their customer service (not to mention their technical service) at this point so I stated that I wanted a refund and would be switching to a different carrier because I had no idea that I would not have the ability to send and receive MMS messages but was denied. In the process of switching carriers as I type this. Do NOT purchase Straight Talk service; you'll regret it.

Straight Talk Sucks
November 21, 2023

There should be a zero stars setting in my opinion. The only reason I gave a star is there is no way to write a review with no stars.
I rarely write reviews but this is one case where I think people need to be informed. If you only want to talk on the phone or text then you are probably fine using straight talk service. I have used the service for over a year and here is what I have found. Each month, usually a week or so before time to renew my plan, the hotspot stops working and will not turn on. Here is where the fun begins. I text help to ******* and get a list of how much data there is left. Plenty of data left so I call customer dis-service. By this time I have put off calling and have already paid for the next month of service so I can keep receiving calls and texts messages. Still no hotspot so I know that it is not because of data usage. I never stream or watch vids on my phone so my data use is low. I pay for the $55 plan also. No reason why it stops working, right? Wrong! Every month the same thing. After spending hours on the line with non-english speaking reps and getting hung up on over and over, still cannot get it to work.
I happened to get some help after half a day on the phone by a supervisor who simply pressed a button or two and presto! It works. So I have lost a week of service at the front of the month and a week of service at the end of the month and only get 2 weeks worth of service for my $55 payment. No refunds are ever offered and no plan extension dates are given.
This month, I had the same problem, called, got hung up on more than 4 times over a three day period on the phone with customer support and still no fix. The highest customer service person said the only thing that we can do is factory reset the phone and loose all data, photos, etc. that are not backed up. I have had enough!
In summary, if you need a hotspot even for minimal use for more than 2 weeks, don't try this crap of a service. If the plan was $20 a month, I could see trying to make it work but AT&T has plans for less and I expect their plans will work. I will be switching! By the way, it does not matter if you use auto enroll or not cause I tried that too. Same results.
