It's been like four days now that I have not been able to call or text but I have called straight talk about at least five times asking them to get the issues fixed but each time after being forced to go through same things which just previously had not worked and wasting nearly an hour every time. They would finally transfer me to what they call a higher technical support authority, only to be placed on hold until the call drops and then they issues on back if there's a loss of connection like that as if they don't have a very long waiting process to get help at that level. It seems as though they could care less about the matter.
The help line numbers are not set up for the Moxie Home telephone base unit. Can't text from a home phone. Purchase a new LTE/4g unit and activated it. Works sporadically. Customer Reps are clueless and transfers calls several times before cutting off call. Had noe problem wit the old base unit for 12 years. Was forced to replace because the 3G network will soon be shut down. Have spent hours on calls to Straight Talk.
I've been a customer for over 8 years no problem 6 months ago my payments have started to get earlier and earlier I have 2 lines same for both think it's time to find new service provider can't change payment dates that much think you put back on original day or you will lose a good customer
I've spoke to many employees can't and won't activate my phone cause it's in pending process with bank as and process would be. Many hours wasted on this. Please don't get Straighttalk unless you want to waste your time. RUN
No offense. These folks must try hard to see how terrible and unresponsive they can be. Their web site is ridiculous and a bit hard to use. Customer service? Call them and find out for yourself. Get on their live chat and you will also find out. My 88 year-old mother lost her two month old phone. I have spent hours trying to get the account cancelled and my credit card pulled off the account. They just cannot seem to give me a straight answer. They promise to call and they never do.
Terrible experience. Terrible. Shame on them. Take a lesson in how to operate and be responsive to CUSTOMERS.
My husband had this carrier and everything was fine until suddenly his phone had no network. It would not connect to the network whatsoever. He called and talked to customer service for hours and they could never fix it. They were all very nonchalant and kept telling him to turn the phone on and off, take out the sim, etc. stuff that we surely have already tried before calling. Once he decided to cut ties with them they would not effectively tie things up on their end. Don't get this carrier.
Ish i could give negative points. I've been a customer for over 8 years, and I want to switch carriers as straight talk is beginning to be fazed out. They are holding me hostage and won't release my phone to another carrier. I own the phone, I have no contract so why? It a joke. Rest assured I will get out I will tell everyone how horrible you are and how you treat your customers. I hope Verizon drops you sooner then later! Sorry excuse for a company!
I ordered a new iphone for my daughter that was supposed to arrive within 1-3 business days. Tracking info over 4 business days showed "label created" but no phone even leaving the ST facility. After the 4th business day and a very disappointed 16 year old I reached out to Straight Talk. I spoke with 4 different reps, all of which just read the tracking info that I already had back to me. No one could give me a reason as to why my phone did not even ship yet. When I asked to cancel the order, the last rep (a manager) got noticeably upset and said it wasn't possible and the phone should be received within 3-5 business days even though the confirmation I have says 1-3. She said the confirmation and site were wrong and has not been updated.
If they could have just given me a reason for the delay or had some sympathy for their shortcomings I would've been satisfied. They offered no help, gave me the run around and was rude. I will certainly be moving on from Straight Talk ASAP.
When calling certain numbers, the call will not connect. Sometimes it's contact numbers and sometimes business numbers.I've spoken to 3 technicians on 5 different occasions, but cannot get resolved. I also lost 3 months of unlimited talk and text, but on last conversation I'll need to let them know when this full year is up and they will add at that time.
Agree. Including the f bombs. I just refilled my android phone with $45 worth of $#*!ty med to no speed data with straight talk. Videos constantly buffering, data stopping multiple times every 15 minutes & takes 3 f minutes for a page to load, are you f kidding me? I am beyond frustrated. My recent free access wireless phone had 10 times faster internet. Straight talk is f crap.
I have never had to deal with a company with such horrible customer service! Most of the reps speak terrible English, they are rude, and argue with you! How do they really expect to keep customers like this!?
When transferring a number the automated system says if it isn't done in 30 minutes call them. When you call them depending on what person you talk to it could be between 4 and 24 hours. By the way have a translator with you. I am a small business owner and still waiting for service. Wonder how much work I've lost and how many clients are not happy. They do disconnect your service at the time of request for transfer. You could be out of service for 24 hours or longer. BEWARE!
I was a straight talk customer up until yesterday. I tried to get them to release my cell number of 30 years. After spending all evening and getting disconnected many times, I gave up and went to Verizon and lost my old faithful cell number. I've had to call all my doctors, banking, family and friends, I am still passed off. I would advise anyone who is led astray by the low price of their service, to high tail it into the nearest swamp. There, I gave a scathing review, just as I promised the Straight talk representative I would.
Straight talk is a JOKE! Do not sign up for auto debit because they will not cancel it once you have DIED! The customer service rep seriously told me to ask my dead father n law for the pin #. They are refusing to cancel the $50.00 a month charge that they are debiting from the account after we have told straight talk he is dead on three separate occasions. They told us to cancel the card the money is coming out of. Dip $#*!s can see there has been no activity on that phone whatsoever in 6 months. A bunch of $#@$&%^ morons.
Straight Talk is mandating that all users switch to Verizon service and is making it nearly impossible to port your number to a new service provider. I had to file a complaint with the FCC because they are legally required to let you transfer your number when you switch providers and they were preventing the process from moving forward. I had to call 8 times to get an agent to actually help me instead of talking over me and telling me incorrect information. Do not recommend Straight Talk Wireless even to my worst enemy.
I was a loyal customer for almost 8 years until once again I lost complete service (auto pay mind you) After the second time I called them again and could hardly understand the person I was speaking to. I ended my service and was told by a second person that I would be getting a $45 refund within 24 to 48 hrs. Almost two weeks now and still no refund. Do yourselves a favor and just spend another $35 a month and go with a better carrier. US Cellular is great by the way and free new phone.
Every time I call they can't inform me what's going on with my device I hate there communication skills there bad for business especially the amount of years they been running you would think they got better but it's crap for real
I purchased Straight Talk back in 2017 since they seem to be more affordable long and local distance calls; however, during the use of this phone service, they had 1-2 years an updated device connection for me to upgrade to so I did that. And now I"m having more drop calls even when trying to get a hold of people that was hard to get a hold of before is really aggravating using them now, as well as, I have not call waiting to hold someone on the other line when they call in as I did on initial hook up with Straight Talk. It seem like they worsened their service than before. I don't even know if they care to improve their services or not.
The company charged me after I disabled the account. Then they refused the refund. They still havent released my imei number four days after I ended the service and this is a carrier unlocked phone I bought from samsung. I have to file a claim through my bank to get a refund, which is completely unnecessary. Their service was very restricted and has little to no coverage.
I've been a loyal customer to straight talk for over 10 years and never once did straight talk offer or inform me of my rewards that I could use. After learning Verizon would be buying the company I looked into what would change with my account and that's where I learned of my rewards. Applying my rewards to activate service were applied only after I paid for the service yet they did not roll over and my service was turned off. All efforts in correcting this problem is a quick hang up and I can not find any help to resolve my problem.
Answer: Cheaper than ATT for a landline. I never thought of the problems I am having trying to get service started. I don't know how they stay in business considering the gift fact that Verizon owns them.
Answer: I've been pretty consistently able to get a hold of them. As far as them being helpful not at all.
